Always driving by Bubbas, finally got a chance to have lunch there today. My favorite bar/restaurant in town was closed for remodeling. Perfect opportunity to try something new for a change. Sat at the bar. Lorena took care of me. Ordered a well gin and tonic $8.00. I'm used to a stronger pour. However, in these 110 degrees heat the cold tall drink hit the spot. But my problem's the fact my regular place uses twice the gin for exactly the same price. Was not that hungry as it was only a few minutes after 11 AM. Baja Corn $7.95 This was essentially elote x 2. They were two big ears of fresh high-quality corn. They used too much lime, gave the corn a sour taste. Every other part of the dish was textbook perfect. I still have a bad sour taste in my mouth. Served in a tray to control the mess. Lots of butter/mayo dripping down. Bubbas lacked the upbeat vibe I'm accustomed to. Lorena was super nice and attentive. I may return for happy hour when they offer $5. well drinks and great food specials. Definitely wish to give them another chance.

Excellent portions of epic food. A must try! The half lbs of brisket was excellent. The baby back ribs were delicious. We will definitely visit again. So many items to choose from. The wing sauces are excellent.

The service didn't wow me... they just didn't seem that into it. I love ribs, and both the Korean ribs appetizer and the baby back ribs had several hard little bone chips, and that was unpleasant. The meat was tender and juicy, but the bone chips really turned me off. Kids liked the mac and cheese. Fries were good. Not bad, but not a place I'd hurry back to with so many other choices.

I'm so glad I lucked upon this place after a day at the zoo waiting for Glow in the Park to start. The space is larger than it looks with plenty of seating. Everyone was very welcoming and pleasant the entire time. It was our first time so my family of 4 decided to order a variety of dishes then enjoy everything family style. We had the stack fries, ceasar salad, pulled pork flatbread,, and 2 kid's meals (ribs with coleslaw and chicken with man and cheese. Everything was so tasty and really hit the spot. Generous portions, too. The only downside to the meal was the watered down lemonade and gritty salad. It was as if the romaine had not been properly washed. That wasn't enough to keep me from coming back. I can't wait to try the brisket as all the other meats were so tender and flavorful. My favorite sauce was the sweet habenero.

We are always looking to try new places, and we figured during Coachella when the western cities are more quiet would be a good time to try a highly rated place. I couldn't get past wanting to try the jalapeno sausage wontons. We got there, and it was definitely not busy and were able to get a table right away. I ordered the house blonde ale. It was light and delicious. We ordered the wontons and the bison chili with the jalapeno cornbread to start. Those wontons were some of the best things I have ever eaten in my life, and I have eaten all over this country and in Asia. I would come back any day just to eat my weight in those things and drink their beer. The bison chili was a must have. I was perfectly cooked and complemented a windy day. My husband ordered the pulled pork meal with baked beans and sidewinder fries, and I had the fish and chips with apple slaw. His pulled pork melted in your mouth. It was smoked perfectly, and was amazing. The baked beans tasted canned, lacked flavor, and were a slight disappointment, but didn't ruin the rest of our meal by any means. The beer battered cod was amazing. The fish was perfectly cooked and the batter and the fry of it was absolutely perfect. I wish the fish had been slightly seasoned, but nothing a little malt vinegar to seep down in there couldn't fix. The fries were cripsy and flavorful. The apple slaw was slightly disappointing. I would have preferred a thinly sliced apple versus small diced chunks of apple. It was missing a little seasoning, but, again, nothing a little dash of vinegar couldn't fix. The waitresses we had were fantastic. We played a game of pool after. The atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I had been introduced to this spot by some friends in November so we decided to give it another try as we had enjoyed our first visit. We received very good service, and the two dishes that we shared ( Macaroni and Cheese / Pork Egg Rolls plus Pulled Pork Sandwich ) were both very tasty. A great lunch!

Outstanding. Great food, great spirits, great service. This is what's left of my blackened salmon. Best pomegranate margaritas in town.

My hubby and I came in on a Monday night around 5:45. They're just understaffed. We waited about 15 minutes before we could be seated (there was no wait time, and the waitress was that busy), another 10 minutes before a drink order was taken, and another at least 5 minutes to get our drinks, which was iced tea and peach lemonade. Our waitress was great! We felt bad that she apologized for all of the delays. She was hauling a** the whole time. We ordered the regular iced tea, it was bad - way too strong and bitter. I ordered the peach lemonade. Honestly, it tasted like a syrup was added to fountain lemonade, so it was ehh. He ordered the fish and chips. It was a generous portion. He said it had a good and crunchy outer texture. I had the BBQ chicken salad. It was good, but there was too much dressing/BBQ sauce. Also either the chicken was dry, or soft and mushy (a bad texture in my mouth). Lastly I'd leave out the corn because it had a weird texture too - kind of like a bean. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it had beans, not corn. The portion was huge! Lastly, we ordered the churro as a shared dessert. It was supposed to come with vanilla ice cream, but they were out, so we had it with salted caramel. It was nice that our waitress separated it for us ahead of bringing it out. We'd go back to try other food.

I was so please to see that they had a vegan breakfast burrito on their menu so it was on my list of spots to visit before heading back home. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the endless champagne with a side of oj for bottomless mimosas. Perfect addition to the meal!Another treat was the billiard tables! I love shooting pool and it's a bit of a birthday tradition for me to play on my bday so the fact that I was able to keep this going on my birthday weekend trip was truly special. The whole vibe of the establishment was similar to what Chili's or TGIF wishes they could be. This place felt authentically chill and welcoming and it will definitely be a regular on my list whenever I visit Palm Desert.

It was really good! Took the family out to dinner after work and it was well worth it. The server was really nice and constantly checking up on us to see how we're doing. May be our go to place when no one feels like cooking some bbq.

*RACIST TOWARDS ASIAN VIBES* If I could give this place a zero star I would... So to start off my girlfriend and I have just arrived into town for a weekend get away. And Bubbas was one of very few places that closes at 10. From the moment we walked into Bubbas...no one greeted us or even approached us. The server blondie and guy with braids dogged us and went passed us several times. Did not mention a word just stared at us like a creature from down under. The bartender had to god damn seat us. It's sad because you would think this is why the review was bad but no... While looking at the menu and trying to decide....the same blonde girl looking like a full on attitude asked the table in front and behind us if their table is doing good and if they needed anything. And walked right passed us. Almost as if she was hella racists. In fact this whole place felt very very racist towards Asian. And I thought I was the only one that felt this way but apparently my girlfriend gotten the same energy. Not only from the blonde but the guy in braids as well. Constantly staring with weird vibes But....maybe it was just us being tired from driving from LA and it being late. So we decided wth let's try the food maybe the food would be good....sadly it is not the case. My girlfriend ordered the chicken fried steak and ive ordered the 2 meat (brisket and pulled pork with baked beans and Mac and cheese). The pulled pork was very mushy, brisket had no flavor, baked beans and Mac and cheese tasted like it was frozen. And both meals tasted and looked like highschool lunch. Safe to say... if you're Asian...don't come here. Honestly no one should come here. Server and food is absolutely horrendous.

We have driven past a bunch of times and finally got to stop in. We were very surprised and happy we did. They have a great selection of beers on tap, and their own brand was excellent…. We had a salad and a burger and all was very tasty. Wasn’t too busy when we enter there and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable… will definitely visit again…. Especially since it’s open late from Wednesday to Saturday
