we've always liked the food at City Wok. but we wont be going back. After getting our credit card statement we found that they had added a ten dollar tip , we always leave our tip in cash. Never on the credit card . So, if you eat here hold on to your receipt and check your credit card statement.

They moved to a great spot at the mall. It's so pleasant sitting on the patio on a warm night. Food especially the ribs were excellent as always and the waitress was kind and efficient. A definite go to for us when we're in town.

I ordered the braised tofu. It had a lot of red pepper flakes in it that made it too spicy for me. The menu did not state that this was a spicy dish. I also had the eggrolls. They were tasteless. My friend liked her moo-shoo

We visited City Wok with another couple. They loved their food and we did not. We started with potstickers. These were the first crunchy potstickers we've ever had...very crunchy and difficult to cut and not much flavor. Then came our meals...my Mongolian Beef was okay, but Mrs. M's garlic chicken had virtually no garlic flavor. On the other had, the couple we were with loved their meals and want to come back. All four of us agree that service by Isela was excellent!

We ordered Springs Roll appetizer and Kung Pao Chicken and Lemon Chicken entrees. The appetizer was delivered to table after the entrees. All three items were served an beds of raw cabbage. (Presentation could have been more creative and attractive.) The Kung Pao dish was loaded with chunks of red and green pepper. Both entrees needed more sauce. The rice was dry. Some vegetables with the lemon chicken would have been nice. The food was OK, but not worth a return visit. On a positive note, there is outdoor seating with heaters if requested.

The service and food were outstanding. My husband’s orange chicken was the best he has had at the restaurant. It was our first time visiting the restaurant in two years. Their new location is lovely. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Service was very slow. The plain white rice wasn’t cooked with enough water. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken mild and it was filled with huge red peppers and we couldn’t eat it. Overall, we just didn’t care for it the food. China Wok is far better.

Such a great place to go for lunch or dinner, the quality of the food for the prices is so worth it. The flavors are good thank you for the great experience today at lunch, perfect weather outside enjoyed the outside seating. The flavors and spice was just right thank you will be back again and invite family and friends love this place wish I would of tried sooner. ?????

4 of us ate at the new location.Food was very mediocre Spring rolls tasteless, sent back the ribs ,you could break your teeth on them,Had chow fun noodles and just ok Service was very good. But this is nothing more than Chinese fast food

The food was excellent, nice ambiance people great highly recommended. It is inside the Westfield mall. You can shop and dine right away.You can celebrate your party at City Wok any time. You can order take out as well.
I ordered the chicken, pork, beef, shrimp combo rice it was ok, tasted like Panda Express it was good rice but it wasn't phenomenal. The service was fast and friendly and very attentive.

Marriott Shadow Ridge suggested this eatery so we gave it a shot. we can honestly say we will not order form this restaurant if we go back to Palm Desert. We know all to well there are different styles of Chinese cooking, but this place for us doesn't even come close. We asked for chow mien & got pan fried Lo Mein that we threw away. The rest of the food we picked at over the next few days then threw that food away too.

Well prepared, hot and tasty. Rice is a bit off the mark but everything else is wonderful. Lemon Chicken is a personal favorite. Also loved the Garlic Chicken. Large servings for the price. Liked that you could order 1/2 servings which allowed us to try a couple of dishes. Chicken Chicken Salad was good but a bit dry. No problem getting extra dressing! Indoor and outdoor seating. I noticed they were constantly busy with orders to go.

Had late lunch. I ordered Chinese Chicken salad and my husband had Yang fried rice with various meats. Place was clean. Food was very good. Waiter gave us suggestions and was attentive. Inside and outside seating. I would recommend this place.

We came here for a late lunch snack and it was a our first time. We sat down and were served drinks right away. We ordered the salt and pepper calamari and City Wok Chicken. The calamari was light, crunchy and very flavorful, just like an authentic Chinese restaurant. We loved it. The City Wok Chicken is like their signature order chicken dish. It comes with white rice. We loved it very much and all the food was high quality. We expected it to be like fast Chinese food, but they really have great quality on their food. We were very impressed. We will be back for more great, fast Chinese food. Yum! Great job!
