We went here on the recommendation on our hotel concierge and the 4 stars of Yelp. We were expecting great margaritas and Mexican food since we were in California. We got there on the early side and it was packed by the time we left. we sat out on the back patio and had small bugs in our drinks and food. Expensive for just okay food. Have had way better Mexican food in Portland. Try some place else.

We just had a good dinner at Fresh Agave. We had a delightful waitress so Service was good too. We asked for another basket of chips to go with our dinner and we're told we were going to be charged for it. I've never heard of a charge for chips or salsa Mexican restaurant. There were four of us eating, and I commented to the waitress that if we had been two people at a table We would've gotten another basket but she said we would've gotten a smaller basket. I know prices are higher and the menu reflected that but really charging for extra chips? I think that's excessive.

Wait times may be a bit long when busy and staff a bit rushed, but other than that the food and ambiance is great! Quality food, quality drinks, and in a great location. Have only visited two times, but will recommend it is worth trying.
The food here is very good. The service is great. The location is closer to a busy street than I would prefer. We would be happy to eat here often.

I have to agree with some of the other comments. Service was decent. We had shrimp fajita salad, shrimp tacos, and carne fajita salad. All were very bland even the dressing. Chips and salsa bland as well. The only thing packing a punch was the margarita. We won't be back and cannot recommend. Not the best Mexican food by any means.

This was a very satisfying meal! By far the best Mexican I have had in California, and maybe ever. I got one chicken taco and one beef taco. The chicken was beautifully flavored and the beef was so tender.
