This place came highly recommended & I was expecting great steak. My medium-rare tenderloin was cooked more medium + than medium rare. I tried it in 3 different places. Then I called over the waiter who immediately took it back to the kitchen. I heard him announce he needed another steak medium-rare. Instead of a new steak, he then came back with the same steak & told me the chef said it was medium-rare, ie I was wrong! I felt so humiliated, especially as I had raved to our guests about this restaurant! It ruined my meal & my evening! I ate the parts of the steak that weren’t overcooked but without enjoyment. I have never before sent back a steak in any restaurant but I only did it there because I had heard such rave reviews of the steak there. No accommodation was made on the bill, from the waiter or the M’d. We have not returned! That arrogant, haughty attitude forgets that, when dealing with the public, "the client is always right", not the chef!

A perfect dining experience from the gracious setting, well trained staff to perfectly prepared meals where each part of the dinner was carefully, tastily prepared. An effort is made to have each guest be welcomed, relaxed and unhurried. One of the best meals we have ever had in the United States. P.S. We would be regulars if our Maine home not so far! What can we say? A very disappointing meal. To spend $43 for 3 small shrimp in a pile of overcooked pasta, soaked in tomato sauce. My husband had the Pappardelle with filet, his favorite meal. This was pasta straight out of the box, nothing original. Our friends had the 6 quarter sized scallops in a bowl filling with risotto... No flavor. I will admit the waiter was terrific and so were the cocktails. We hope they can get their act together, as there are way too many better quality choices on El Paseo in Palm Desert. Thank you!

Went there for my 50th. The front of house staff was lovely, but it went downhill from there. The bartender told us to “hurry up and order” because he had another order coming in. My mom asked for water 3x and he told her she’d have to wait. Once we were seated, the waiter kept trying to tell us what to order for appetizers. I shared that I’m lactose intolerant and he practically rolled his eyes. When our shrimp arrived I asked if there was butter and he said- “of course”… I reminded him that I’m lactose intolerant and he brought me another 2 shrimp that he later charged us for. For dessert, I asked if they had anything dairy free (my family and friends wanted to sing happy birthday) and he said there was nothing dairy free, so he just took a tea light and put it in front of me. He didn’t even offer a fruit plate or something slightly festive. To be clear, the food was incredible- some of the best I’ve ever had, but the poor service definitely impacted our experience and we would never go back, nor would we recommend it to anyone. A very dated mindset that doesn’t fly anymore.

This was the best meal I ate during the entire month of January ! Wonderful service, ambience and the food was delicious. We ate in all the " best" in Palm Springs & PD and this is hands down just wonderful

Unfortunately, this was my second consecutive meal at Jillian's when the entre was far less than acceptable. In both cases, the protein (double cut pork chop and veal cheeks) were far more fat and not nearly enough lean meat. In both experiences, I left 75% of my meal on the plate. I can only suspect that Chef must not be scrutinizing the meat provider, with enough diligence.

Couldn’t ask for a finer display of hospitality and professionalism.

Great food, exceptional service, and very nice courtyard vibe. The heaters were turned on so it was nice and toasty despite the chilly weather. My wife had the pappardelle bolognese (if i recall correctly) and i had the double cut pork chop. While I felt hers was a bit bland and lacked in flavor, my pork chop was outstanding. We finished up with a scoop of mango sorbet to cleanse the palate. The serving staff is amazing. From the very warm and friendly hostess that sat us, to the busser that did not allow our water levels to reach empty, to the very professional and informative waiter. Kudos to them collectively as a team. Jillian's is a treat.

Outstanding restaurant. Great time with my wife in the courtyard. Celebrating her birthday the staff set a card and everyone wished her happy birthday. Only complaint were the price of the desserts.
