We were staying nearly next-door, and this place is walkable. The first time I went there. I got the fruit salad and I thought it was absolutely delicious. I liked it so much. I went back two nights later, and the fruit salad was hard as a rock. So I gave one night five stars and one night two stars that’s the four star rating. It was a very quiet place which for us was wonderful. We enjoyed the taco a lot. It was unusually made, but very tasty. Service is you order at the counter and it is brought to you. All in all, we were particularly glad that it was close by and quiet

I have been to this restaurant in Palm Desert about ten times in the last year, great club sandwiches. You order your food from the counter, no big deal, no tipping required. They all work very hard and are very kind. Today as I was ordering, a roach crawled across the counter, a German roach, the ones that spread...... I told the person taking the orders and it was like no big deal. Not sure if she understood me but she got my point. I flcked the roach back towards paying customers just to give them a heads up. Management, you have a very nice restaurant. Don't let it go to hell and become unsanitary. Rats and roaches are a battle alll restaurants face but you must fight them. Don't get comfortable with this disgusting issue.

Always a treat -quick service, great food, & excellent prices. We will be back again next month. Best Turkey burgers and French fries.

John's does not GAF about vegetarian or vegan customers. Oatmeal or a side of fruit are the only vegan items for breakfast. We ordered breakfast burritos with no egg and were overcharged for burritos with extra meat!! The employees were not friendly. Lunch or dinner there are zero vegan options. A vegetarian can get a grilled cheese sandwich. That's it. We will never go back. This was our first and last visit to John's. BYE!

John's in Palm Springs never disappoints, The food is great and the service is awesome. The staff is always really nice. Definitely one of the best local spots to get something quick and tasty.

We were supposed to go somewhere else for brunch but due to lack of parking space, we ended up at John's restaurant instead. The outside and inside didn't impress us, it has an 80's diner vibe to it, no hostess to sit you, you basically go in line to order your food, pay, provide you utensils and they give you a number and you sit wherever you want to. There were plenty of food to choose from but my husband and I wanted breakfast while our two boys wanted lunch. We ordered breakfast chorizo quesadilla and breakfast burrito with bacon and the boys had burgers. We were amazed at the taste of our food, even our son said "lemonade tastes better here!". Service wasn't much, but they do ask if you want drink refills, so it wasn't bad. This wqs definitely a sweet experience, with low expectations but very good outcome! If you're okay with the above, I definitely recommend this place!

Great price, great food, good portions! A nice place to get food if you're not looking to spend your entire vacation food allowance.

This place was a great find. The burgers are great and the zucchini sticks are sooo good. You order at the counter and then pick your own seat. The restaurant is kinda small or set up differently so it feels a little cramped but we sat by a window and it was nice. I felt like there was very few 4+ tables but plenty of small family seating. Will look forward to coming here again.

I feel so silly. I've lived here for years but never stopped in because I prefer a sit down/service experience. After seeing the photos a friend posted, I ordered dinner salads. A Greek with chicken, and a Santa Fe chicken salad to go. So fresh and huge portions. I'll be back very soon to try more!

Never a bad meal when you need something quick Highly recommended the country scramble any time of day or night too!

This was a surprise. The food was excellent, super fast service not at all what I expected. Their ranch dressing is amazing! Chicken tenders are juicy.

First time here and the food was really good. I had them bookmarked for a while and finally tried them out. So you have to order first and pay then they give you a # and then you have to find yourself a table. We apparently went during rush hour lol so there weren't many choices. But by the time we sat down our food was already to the table. They are fast. I got the French Toast breakfast and it was really good. They put cinnamon and powdered sugar on the French toast. My over easy eggs were nice and fluffy and prepared the way I like it. I got a side of home fries for us which was a large plate and enough to share. It's actually a lot of food and for a really good price. 2 breakfasts, 2 drinks and a side of home fries for under 40 bucks. Service is quick and great. Staff was really friendly. And food was A+

It's that perfect diner feeling. This place has the perfect vibe and environment to really fall in love with the food. All the diner classics and many of their own signature items. You're gonna fall in love with whatever you get.

Don't come here for the service. Every time I'm in this place the people at the counter ignore the people waiting in line and help someone who walks right up to the counter. Once might be a mistake, but it's clearly a pattern. If you speak up, they say, "I'll be quick," and help the line jumper anyway. It just shows how little they think of you as a customer.
