One of my favorite meals in the valley. Everything was done perfectly. The veal sweetbreads and Duck was delicious and the soufflé was truly amazing. Loved that they had live music

Getting cussed out by the chef was not what we expected upon embarking on dinner tonight. But that's what we got after letting staff know about the crème brûlée tasting like fish. The "chef" wasn't happy. Thank goodness we didn't mention the wet towel tasting caesar salad!

My spouse and I have dined at Le Paon a number of times over the years and we recently celebrated a special birthday at Le Paon. Highly recommend Le Paon for anyone seeking something above and beyond when it comes to ambiance, service and most of all, exquisite food and drinks. The host and owner, is always warm and gracious, the wait staff professional and the bartender is a gem. We love taking in the room (best in the city) and the tunes emanating from grand piano while enjoying a variety of truly delectable dishes offered by Le Paon.

My wife and I went there for dinner. If you want to relax and take your time with dinner you can or just let them know you are in a hurry. Food was great from start to souflee. Also, nice piano music in the bar area. We will be back and would recommend.

My wife and I came down from Seattle specifically to celebrate our 41st anniversary at Le Paon, as we have done for many years. Our dining experience last evening was, as always, simply exemplary. Antoine, Eddie and their staff are superb and the food and beverage preparation and presentation is just wonderful. Thank you so much for helping us enjoy yet another milestone in our life journey together.
This is one of the BEST restaurants here in PalmDesert. Excellent food service and decor. It is your special place to go for an occasion. Not cheap but not crazy. Better than a flight to Paris.Parking: No trouble finding a space. I believe they have valet on weekends.

Food mediocre. Pate was good. Escargot poor. Soups good. Main beef cooked well. Souffle good but anglaise not done correctly. Overall fair. Don't go if you want elevated French. Service outstanding. Pricey $$$$$ for the quality of food.

La Peon was a wonderful surprise. Antoine, your host , is terrific and a bit of a character. The food was excellent, well presented and the wait staff professional and first class. The tables are spread out nicely so not too crowded feeling. Some nights a live pianist is playing in the beautiful space. Valet parking is available in the parking area behind the restaurant.Worth the effort of getting a little dressed up to go here.....loved it.

I went to La Paon last night with friends and had the best time ever. I hadn't been since covid and looked online to see that they had a new bar menu. Anyway, everything was wonderful, Antoinne greeted us just like old times. The service was great, and the bar menu was wonderful. Alot of new choices, although I opted for the pate and escargot as I have many times before and my guy had a new option the filet of sole and he loved it. Our friends also loved their meals. The piano player is lovely and really added to make the evening special. Drinks were great and the bartender couldn't have been more accommodating. We'll be going back again soon.

We had ordered Caesar salad, which they prepare tableside (minimum two servings). A plate of Caesar salad suddenly appeared before me, but it had not been prepared tableside. I was confused and looked around for the cart and noted she had just made salad for the table across the floor down a way. I asked why I was being served their salad. She said because I ordered salad. I reminded her that we ordered tableside Caesar for two. A man's voice boomed, "YOU BE QUIET!" I turned to see the man at the other table looking at me. Again, he shouted, "YOU BE QUIET! WE ORDERED OUR FOOD BEFORE YOU!" Now I was even more perplexed. Why was this stranger suddenly yelling at me, and how did this relate? The person who had made their salad nor the waiter nor owner addressed this man's yelling timely. I overheard the waiter apologize to the man and his wife at the end of their meal; however, I did not receive an apology or acknowledgement of the situation. Do you think they explained to the man that he misunderstood? No, because otherwise, he would have felt compelled to apologize to me for his outburst, right? Ruined a special occasion. Won't be dining here again. Two stars to acknowledge owner's kindness to my parents by preparing a main course tableside for the occasion.
Highly recommended ? ? ? ?
