My reason for 3 Stars!I made a reservation for my husband‘s birthday, and when I made the reservation, I let them know we’d be celebrating his birthday. When we arrived, we were seated outside the kitchen, which we found unacceptable and they did change our table. When we checked in, the hostess knew it was my husband‘s birthday, our waiter knew it was my husband‘s birthday, and we never received a complimentary dessert. The table across from us was also celebrating a birthday and a dessert, with candle, et al, was served to them.I was very disappointed in the way birthdays are treated at this restaurant.

A happy find...came in for dinner and was told the kitchen is closing early, but they seated us and it was great. Ahi tuna tower and ribs were great. Cool space, quiet enough to talk.

Had lunch at Lunas for the first time. Good food, cocktails and general vibe. Nice patio dining. Everything is new and pretty. Will definitely be back.

All aspects of this restaurant were good but I have an issue with the surcharge they attempted to add to our bill for 5 people. We only had 4 people which was hard to miss. This would have added $48 to our bill with no explanation for the charge. Additionally they charge 3.5% for using a credit card. This nonsense is completely out of control. I would recommend raising their prices but they are already over priced. I won’t be returning.

We had heard about Luna's from neighbors and we decided to give it a try. We showed up and they actually had a place available; they were crowded; which we were happy about. But we did get a place by the service kitchen in/out door, which we heard the word "corner" yelled about 50 times. Wish they would install some mirrors so the employees didn't have to yell "corner" every minute they were next to customer's tables. My husband had the stake and fries, He was very happy with them. The temperature was great. The server asked us to cut open our stakes to check the temperature before he walked away which I thought was great. I had the filet mignon, It was delicious and I And cooked perfectly. I especially enjoyed the peppercorn sauce which was there was very little. I asked to order more, no problem. The plates looked a little plain and non decorative . So, if you eat with your eyes as well, you might want to close your eyes and eat with your mouth. It does taste delicious. We ordered the pizza tonight, we were very surprised at the very small pizza that we received for $22. Just a plain Cheese Pizza with pepperoni & light sauce. Unfortunately, our second pizza that we received was light sauce as well, even though we wanted regular sauce. The pizzas were very small. The crust was very soft. We were unimpressed. We will definitely not be ordering the pizza again. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff that works there. They are happy. They are accommodating. They're caring and I would definitely go back just for the staff themselves.

Since when is it okay to charge 3% credit card fee + and 18% service charge automatically? It doesn't matter how good the food is. There's plenty of other options.

Our waiter took 15 minutes to greet us. I asked him what the difference was between the only two IPAs and he didn't know. I got the fungi risotto, not much flavor and not even a risotto. My fiancé didn't like the sauce the mussels came with. Our waiter never checked on us after the food came out. Very rude staff. Overpriced and honestly something I could make way better at home. (And have a good beer)

Never take a large group here. Went as a couple a couple of months ago and service and food was good. Went as a party of 10 last night and experience was poor. There were 3 couples and a party of four. Drinks were served promptly. Then the waiter disappeared for an extended time. When he finally came to take our orders they were rather slow in coming out. Two of the dinners came out burnt. The roasted chicken and the pork milanese were burnt. When the bill came, the waiter informed us that he could only accept 4 credit cards and that the bill would be split equally. That means the couples paid part of the party of four's bill. Then on top of that a 23% tip was added to each bill. Not good.

First time customerFood/service was good, however; fair warning did not notice a $32.75 service charge on a $163.75 bill, party of 5….I left the recommended 20% tip on top of that! Won’t be going back.

Very nice atmosphere, feels comfortable and the decor is trendy. Unfortunately the value just isn’t there. Tonight was our first visit. We were excited to try Lucas and felt fortunate to have the owner’s wife wait on us. That was all about to end when we saw the warning on the bottom of the menu that using a credit card would cost us an additional 3%. Since when has this become a thing? How is it that a cost of doing business is called out as a line item on the menu? I could have gotten past that if the food was anything more than average and the waitperson, (yes, the owner) had bothered to come back and check on us at any time during or after our meal. At this price level there are just too many other local restaurants that offer better food and service.

Loved the place good atmosphere, and our server did a great job. Did not have a reservation, but the host was nice enough to accommodate a group of 5. As a starter, we got the garlic bread, which was delicious a MUST try. Tried the steak frites, and the steak was cooked perfectly. Also, recommend would suggest adding a little more asparagus since it is a pricey plate. Lasagna didn't really taste like marinara sauce, more like a watered-down sauce of tomato, wouldn't order it again. Shrimp scampi was not a favorite had better. And the pork milanese needed more flavor to my tasting would not recommend. The wedge salad was a favorite I recommend. Have in mind we were 5. I did not eat all of that, but we all tasted each others food since it was our first time there. That was our conclusion from the tasting we did. Hope it helps someone.

Absolutely the BEST I have ever eaten in my 80 years! Lunas is a wonderful, warm, friendly village restaurant at the new Canopy in Indio. Staff and ambiance are extraordinary.
