Whatever Starbucks is putting into their matcha latte is causing inflammation. Either I'm allergic to the oat milk they use or the matcha tea powder mix ... or both ... so I'm finding alternatives. Sotto Voce in palm Desert has been on my radar for quite some time. Their matcha lattes are excellent quality and they don't just automatically dump vanilla syrup in it like Varraco and others do .... So they're definitely more than a cut above the rest. I put a little tiny bit of cane syrup in mine & it was perfect. This store is a bit of a challenge to get to as you have to walk through the whole mall to get to it. But the palm desert garden malls is a beautiful mall as it is open air and I could use a walk in the morning Have a Good Day

This cafe has the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. The panini sandwiches are delicious and generous. The ambience is delightful as is the owner, Natalie. She and her staff go out of their way to please the customer.

The food and drink were decent but I'm giving 1 star based on service. The person who took my order (might've been the owner?) was rude and short with me when taking my order. She left me standing at the cash register in the middle of the transaction. She left the store for several minutes because of an event going on outside. I also didn't receive the correct change. I'm hoping I just showed up on an off day for them. Will probably give them another chance in the future.

We had the recommended lemon meringue. It was way too sweet. It blows my mind that it was a favorite in the community. Staff was friendly and energetic. Great atmosphere, it drew us in to get a snack.

EXCELLENT! Cafe latte was wonderful and the panini was just like stepping back into Italy for a few minutes. The decor is stunning. Perfect place to meet a friend and enjoy a European ambiance while sipping on a cappuccino. This place is a must try!

Coffee latte was cold and pastry stale. Very expensive for the product. Tasted unsophisticated.

Perhaps the most unpleasant staff in the area? As we entered l asked if the service was counter or table (I was confused as l’d just watched a young man bring drinks to an outside table). The woman at the counter sneered and replied, “Counter! We’re a cafe!” Um, ok…. Not really an answer as cafes are often table service. My daughter’s croissant was ok but the Americanos we received were dreadful! Two cups of scorching hot “coffee powder flavoured” water. First time l have EVER failed to tip (servers deserve to be treated with respect and consideration) but she literally did nothing to earn a tip. Her sarcasm wasn’t even funny - just mean! Won’t be back

These wonderful people are the most hospitable and welcoming owners with the absolute best authentic espresso in the desert.
