Nostalgic is the word to describe Sullivans. We came here the first time twenty years ago, and it's our go-to when visiting the desert. They have a great bar and make a proper martini, and we arrived early to enjoy one. On this trip, we took my in-laws on their maiden Sullivan voyage, which was great. We shared the calamari as an app., which is perfect to share. Christy and I split the 8 oz filet with garlic shrimp side and epic baked potatoes. ( maybe a world record for its size ) The steak was cooked perfectly and Jackie detailed the temp so we knew what we were getting. "Medium rare is not the same everywhere." We finished the night with a Key lime pie and voila. Easy to find and plentiful parking, you'll not be disappointed.

My company held a corporate business dinner in a private room for out of town clients and the entire experience was top notch. From the private room overlooking the San Jacinto mountains, to the delicious food and topped off by the amazing service. I cannot recommend Sullivan’s in Palm Desert enough. Our server Jackie was on top of it and so sweet and efficient. As the host of our group I got there a little early and gave her a heads up that some of our out of town guests would be taking a flight out that evening so I wanted the courses to come out in a timely manner. She made sure that the food was paced out well. Cannot give her enough kudos! I know dealing with big groups is never easy but she managed it so well. A big THANK YOU to Robert West the wonderful Event Manager that assisted me in putting this event together in a week! Not only was he professional and attentive but was accessible to me via email and phone as well as via text. Are you kidding me? He put me completely at ease helped answer questions about the menu and his suggestions were spot on! Helpful is putting it mildly when I had to a make two last minute changes days before our event. Robert was so on top of it all. Can’t thank you and Sullivan’s enough. 10/10 recommend. Great service, ambiance and delicious food!

Well, I been to other steak houses before and if I had to compare this to Flemings in rancho Cucamonga or steakhouse rancho mirage at aqua caliente casino, or morton's. Sullivan's is far off from those establishments. I would compare this place as a way over price chili's. The server wasn't very helpful, and he was chewing gum. No effort and no suggestions. There was only one cook and one helper that night, so the food took longer than you would expect since there were about 8 tables of 5 guests each at the time we were there. The steaks were decent, and that's why I give it a 3. Would I recommend this place no.

I've had a week to ponder my experience. I was trying to convince myself that this place deserved a 4 1/2 star rating, but I can't get behind that. Reservations: It went smoothly. I called in the day of, to reduce the amount of people in the party, and the lady on the phone was polite. No issues here. Seating: This was ridiculous. We sat on the second level overlooking the restaurant. It was a little more private, which I loved. However, the way the restaurant squeezes tables so close together is horrible. We sat in between two parties. Literally, my chair and the person behind me were touching the whole time. When she went to the restroom, I had to somehow squeeze in close to the table to she can get out. I had no room whatsoever, no did she. What's worse, it was the same scenario with my husband who sat across from me. He is a 6'4 200-ish pound man, and can barely move the chair out to sit down. His seat hit the person behind him as well. This made it uncomfortable the whole time. Drinks: I had the spicy margarita and my husband had gin. They were both made very well, and strong. Food: We started with the Philly Egg Rolls, and oysters. Both were delicious. My son got the seafood tower as his meal. He loved it, but we had to ask for the crab legs and poke because they forgot to add them. His food came out 15- 20 minutes prior to mine and my husbands dinner. My son is a gentlemen and waiting as long as he could, but we told him to eat. They also didn't bring it out on a tower, rather 3 large dishes that took up a lot of room on the table. My husband and I shared a tomahawk steak (medium rare), creamed spinach and lobster mac and cheese. When the steak came out it was still moving. It was very, very raw. I didn't mention anything to the server at first, because my husband loves a raw steak. However, after a few bites I couldn't do it. Our server (Ty) agreed that it looked really rare and offered to cook it a little more, but honestly, I was content with eating the sides as they were delicious. Apparently, this place has had several issues with steaks. The table sitting across from us had a filet and said there was bone in it. They made him a whole new steak. The Service: Honestly, if it wasn't for our server, Ty, I would have left a 3 star review. He was amazing. He offered suggestions. He was so apologetic for all that was happening. He wanted to take my sons food back, because the runner brought it out on a few platters rather than the tower that it's supposed to come on. He wanted us to have the best experience. I can't say it enough, he is probably one of the best servers we've ever had, and we've been to hundreds of restaurants.

My first time here on March 7th and last time. No stars not sorry. Ordered curbside for my anniversary. Thought I'd surprise hubby with lunch at work.Chose curbside to quickly come and go but my seven calls were never answered. Had to park on second floor, walk to restaurant only to not be greeted by young woman standing there looking miserable, I was the one to first greet/speak with her hoping she'd lighten/cheer up as front host.Food was cold, hard and not good at all he threw it away, just a waste of time and money. Menu too high priced for the bad service, unhappy atmosphere and food quality if you ask me. 4.1 should be under 4.0

Went for an early dinner. Seemed a little bit odd that we couldn't get the full menu inbtte bar.Service was decent. Our server was new, but did a good job...although when we asked about the tableside BLT salad, it seemed like they were not recommending it simply due to the effort required to make it.Steaks were good. One of us ordered the scallops and they were overcooked. The brussel sprouts side was sub-par.

Had a great lunch experience! The team was great, promptly seated in the bar area, and had the Ahi Tuna Steak.

This was the worst experience I've had at any of the high end steakhouses. I've visited many Sullivan's prior and been pleased. This dinner was awful. A split salad was exactly that as the second half showed up as we finished the first half. A filet was ordered and a strip steak was delivered instead. They took that back only to bring me a filet that was barely cooked. I'm sure they were trying to rush it out after the first mistake only to make another. We told them to take it back. We paid for the drinks and left. I won't be back. The whole evening was unfortunately a disaster. The manager did not seem empathetic.

I hosted a business luncheon for 25 guests at Sullivan's yesterday. The event was easily set up. Upon arrival I was able to meet with the friendly staff and get everything arranged to our liking. Food was excellent. Service was even better. The venue is beautiful and the guests really enjoyed the event. Special thanks to Caroline, Frankie, and the rest of the staff who made the event a success!

We went today for lunch. There was only one waiter who most definitely needed help. I ordered a tri tip dip & received tri tip sliders. I didn't return it because it took very long to get our food. I told the waiter, didn't seem to care. We always have a good meal for dinner maybe because it's fully staffed. I blame management for not getting at least one more server.

The employees were so nice. Attended to us right away. The food was great! I don’t eat meat and to have the a variety of options to choose from best day ever.
