Extremely disappointed!! We really wanted to like this place as we are locals but we've been multiple times and we've had horrible service and the food has been marginal at best. We tired to pay cash and was told it was cashless which should be disclosed prior. The door entrance is extremely difficult for anyone with a disability which was frustrating for our party. The construction in the parking lot feels hazardous an unsafe.

This place is amazing. We were a group of 7. Everyone ordered something different and each meal was amazing. The cocktails were fabulous. Our server, Nate was exceptional. So professional and attentive to our group which elevated the experience. We will definitely return.

Last time we were here, we didn't post a review because I wanted to give them another chance. We just sat at the bar this time. Bartender Julian really knows his mixology. He and many of the employees here used to work at sunfish (a Japanese whiskey bar and restaurant) where they all learned the art of omakase. (Which loosely translates to letting the experts decide what they will offer you, based upon your preferences and said employee's expertise. ) What a different experience we had this time! Bartender Julian is at the top of his game. He has a multitude of cocktail options and will suggest a cocktail based upon your tastes. By all means, trust him. Waiter Tyrone (also from Sunfish) is an expert on the menu. Trust him. I just wished we had met these two sooner. Amara is the next big thing. It's just too bad the wave machine broke. Go now; while you still can. Ask for Julian and Tyrone.

Excellent service and food with the beautiful backdrop of mountains, palm trees and a rejuvenated Oasis water park. Our server Sierra was extremely attentive and nice and all around AMAZING. DJ Pedro Le Bass was laying down amazing vibes during the Sunday brunch. The Elvis PB& J is out of this world. They also have a Mimosa Flights where you get 4 different mimosa flavors with garnishes for $20, a good deal if you like a variety. Will definitely be back!

It was a Side-chick Saturday. Stellar service and good FOOD with more than enough room to accommodate everyone. Super spacious place. Some of the best mountain views in the valley

Food is good. Decor very pleasant. Service with a friendly smile. But the acoustics is not meant for a DJ. The loud music made for a terrible dining experience. Going to dinner should not sound like the inside of a dance club. We brought company from out of town and it was impossible to hear the conversation over the sound of the music. Asking to lower the volume did not help. Most likely will not return unless music selection changes.

The new facility is gorgeous with perhaps too many hard surfaces as noise is an issue but it will likely be resolved. Very large seating capacity inside and out plus the water activities...so the place is certainly unique. We dined midweek with another couple...one of a handful of tables. Service was attentive but when food came it was 'cool'...had been sitting while server talked with another table! Menu...what menu? No menus and the place has been open for nearly 3 months. They offered an I-Pad until battery died. Menu is complex given the descriptions of the entrees in some foreign language...only an Executive Chef would understand the words. I prefer to know what is coming on my plate in an understandable description. Pricing was fair to high but food was very good. If it gets its act together, it will be an interesting alternative to traditional dining given the location...but it needs to get it act together.

Brand new restaurant at the surf park. We were looking for a lunch spot on the way to the airport. Beautiful well thought out space. Huge accordion doors join the indoor and outdoor seating. Stunning mountain backdrop. Delicious food. Great service. Reasonable prices. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

I'm going to give it a 5. Nice ambiance, service was relatively attentive, and they had no issues with us being late for our reservation. Good portion sizes and unique cocktails. Good place for groups.

My grilled pastrami panini was excellent and big enough to split with my sister. The service was excellent and personal. The Palm Springs Surf Club provides a beautiful tropical setting for fun, fine dining, and an opportunity to watch surfing in the desert!

The prettiest view, best ambiance and most delicious food in the desert! Their menu is creative and the plates are beautifully executed.

This was a pleasant and beautiful surprise to discover Amala Restaurant & Bar, part of the Palm Spring Surf Club. We are so glad that we came upon this hidden gem. Hubby and I discovered Amala through Yelp after a hard days work and craving for something great to eat and to unwind. Amala did not disappoint us. You will not be either.. Upon opening the huge wide glass doors we were greeted by a friendly sweet hostess, who took us to our seats and explained a little bit about the restaurant. The ambience, the live DJ, the view of the beautiful property was amazing. Nate who was our server was Exceptional, friendly, attentive, and the best server ever! You must ask for him when you are at the restaurant. He explained to us about the property who knew the details pretty well, and you can tell he loved and enjoyed working there. He had great suggestions and had great recommendations about the menu. Food was delicious, server was excellent and the ambiance was incredible. I ordered the Pork Belly Bao Buns, so good and hubby ordered their PSSC Signature Wagyu Burger, with the best hot fries. We were satisfied. I will tell all my family and friends about this restaurant. There's so much more to this property, we can't wait to come back soon.
