Carmela is an adorable ice cream shop inside Flannery Exchange, with a dozen flavors, but I highly recommend the chocolate with cocoa nibs!I absolutely love that they make their own waffle cones and you can even order a waffle cup.There's seating outside and it's on the main road of Palm Canyon, so you can relax and walk to other points of interest.

I had read several good reviews about Lappert's Ice Cream before my trip to Palm Springs and made sure it was on my itinerary while in town. I can say I was not disappointed. My husband and I split a cup of the date ice cream and it was beyond delicious! The ice cream was very rich and creamy. I grew up eating dates but had never eaten them in ice cream, so I was intrigued. Lappert's is famous for its Date Shake but we opted instead for just a cup of ice cream since we had more sites to see. If you are not into date ice cream, they sell many other flavors--all of which sounded delicious.

My wife had coconut and Hana road single with 2 flavors. I had espresso chocolate and chocolate chocolate chip. Excellent ice cream and friendly service.
The fact that I was able to sample all flavors was a good start but then I tried their Lavender Honey and Brown Sugar Vanilla Bean and those blew me away. They also make the cones in house fresh everyday. The staff warmly greeted me and was super friendly while being indecisive on what ice cream I wanted. The location is great right next to cafe La jefa and across the street from Trio. Inside the building is a nice modern pink ice cream shop which features gold and marble seating areas with swings and chairs in the front. This is a great place overall and 10/10 recommend!

Carmela Ice Cream is hands down my favorite! I discovered Carmela when I lived in LA and was quickly hooked onto their Salted Caramel, Lavender Honey and Strawberry Buttermilk flavors. I missed them terribly when I moved out to CO and was SO happy to discover their new location in Palm Springs when I on vacation there last month! Needless to say, I hit them up more than once to get my fix! The ice cream sandwiches are fab too and don't leave without a package of house made marshmallows! If you need a perfectly sweet and cooling treat while in Palm Springs, Carmela is a must! (P.S- they cater too!)

Needed to get some ice cream on this 112 degree day. This place is really cool and placed inside a trendy flex space with other vendors. Had the vanilla, mint and chocolate. The vanilla was very good however it asking with my mint was a bit too icy, and not dense. The chocolate was very rich and not as icy. Anyhow their once cream is made fresh with no artificial colors or flavors a huge plus.

Fantastic! Ice cream was super creamy and delicious - service was helpful and prompt. Busy place but worth the wait! Our group tried everything from the Dole whip sundae to waffle cones of ice cream.....we loved every flavor but of note was the chocolate which was super creamy and chocolatey.
