Cozy Belgian-French atmosphere, like being in Europe. I've had the fillet mignon with bearnaise, grilled shrimp, steamed artichoke with dipping sauce and many other delicious items. Well worth it.

This has been the worst experience of my vacation. We waited 45 minutes for water once we were seated. Waited 2 hours for food and were ready to walk out. When food finally came, it was good, but being in the restaurant for 2.5 hours was horrible experience.EDIT:If the food came out 46 minutes after we ordered it, it's only because we were waiting for our order to be taken for 1 hour 15 minutes. We were at the restaurant for 2 hours before we got our food, period. My watch works fine sir, you should get a better staff and tend to your customers better. EVERYONE around us was complaining about the amount of time they all were waiting for their food. Maybe if you apologized or offered to comp people for their appetizers or deserts when you can't deliver food in a timely matter, you would not get a bad review.

The ambiance and the food was great. It was nice that they had good half bottles of wine. The owner came by often to check on us. The special Branzino dish was so large that we split the meal.

Everything was outstanding . We sat outside because it was a perfect evening. Service was wonderful and so was the food. Three of us got the mussels and frites and one got the salmon. Very reasonably priced. Be sure to make reservations

I've dined at Pomme Frite a few times in the past few years. It's never been my first thought when friends and I are trying to decide where to go, and I don't recall leaving feeling like I'd had a phenomenal meal (I don't recall being disappointed, either). I think the indoor dining space was louder than usual this time because the outside patio was closed (and all doors shut) due to the extremely high winds - but the noise level was annoying to me. This isn't their fault, though - and they probably lost business due to the winds. The only typical issue I have whenever I eat at Pomme Frite is how small the tables are. I often have to rearrange my own place setting and glasses around each time to make a dish being served to the middle of the table fit. That small issue aside, our waiter was great (super nice and professional), other staff did come promptly to remove dishes we were done with, and the food was perfect. We had the baguette, Escargot, Caesar salad, and French Onion soup, with a meringue “floating island” (if memory serves me) for desert. I feared the escargot would be all butter and garlic, but there was much more to the seasonings that made it one of the better times I've had this dish. I reluctantly ordered The French Onion soup because I usually find that there's too much salt in the recipe, but not here - it was perfect. I also usually find at others restaurants that the Caesar salad is way too drenched with dressing - again, not here, and the presentation (full Romaine leaves stacked neatly on top of each other) was a pleasant change. Lastly, the “floating meringue island” desert was a delightful finish to delightful meal. It's light, not too sweet, with what I would describe as hint of a combination of vanilla, almond, and hazelnut flavors (and some fresh raspberries). After our meal last night, I can see why this cure, quaint French and Belgian restaurant has been around for 26 years, I believe, right in the heart downtown Palm Springs.

I have eaten here many times over the 12 years I have had a home here. It was always good. We went Friday night, with a reservation, and were seated on the curb, next to where cars park, and had to move the table to get into our chairs. The mussels which have always been good were awful, they were not the small sweet Belgian ones, they were as big as an egg. I could not eat them.

From the warm welcome of the owner, to the excellent service and tasty food, we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very European and the quality/price ratio is very good. They’ve been in business since 1999, so visit them this year and wish them a happy 25th anniversary.

We just finished a meal here. My wife and I had the pork chop special and the beef medallions. They were fine. Not amazing, but fine. We were there for about 75 minutes. When we didn’t order dessert after about five minutes we were asked to move to the bar for my wife to finish her wine because they wanted to make room for the next reservation. Of course if we had ordered dessert then there would have been plenty of time for us to sit. We spent about $200.00. Really awful service for a mediocre meal.

Pomme Frites is our Palm Springs go to restaurant when we have out of town guests. Great specials, great menu, best Belgian beer selection, best steak tartare and French onion soup! All in all just a very pleasant night out!

Everything was perfect! The staff was so welcoming, professional and efficient. Food was some of the best we have had in the desert. All 5 of us loved our dinner. Can't recommend it highly enough. What a gem!

Second time at this restaurant and the food was amazing from cocktails, wine selection, appetizers, main dish, and dessert. Our server was wonderful and second time having him. He had wonderful suggestions and did not disappoint. Will be a returning customer and future regular.

This was our first time at Palm Fritz, and what to find. The reviews were exactly accurate. The service, the food presentation, and the food itself was outstanding. I ordered the steak and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the duck and he thought it was absolutely delicious. It's a shame we didn't know about you earlier, but we will definitely be back.
