This beautiful restaurant was nothing but amazing in every way! We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, absolutely delicious. The spicy marinara sauce was such a great match. We shared a Caesar salad and the dressing was one of the best I've had. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation and it did not disappoint! We also ordered the homemade lasagna.....excellent. We will definitely return! Thank you for a great dining experience.

This is our go to dance spot in PS every time we come to visit. The two gentlemen in the band are great. The problem with this place is that to many people go up and talk to the band members and don't let them play the music so everyone can dance. The band also allows people in the crowd to go up and sing. Those people suck. They shouldn't be singing here. Tonight 4/11/24 was by far the worst singing from a crowd member. The guy looked like he just walked off the street to sing. He couldn't carry a tune to save his life. Unfortunately, the band obviously knew the guy and let him sing 3 songs. I'm sure they didn't want to hurt his feelings so they let him sing. We were ready to leave if he sang one more song. This place would be awesome if the band would just stick to their playlist, stop talking to people, and don't let anyone else sing. Other than that, The food, drinks and service at Sammy G's is great.

Excellent! Came here on an anniversary date and I couldn't have been happier. I have some dietary restrictions but my girlfriend does not - they have options for nearly any diet. My server was friendly, attentive, and informative. They have several dishes that are vegan as-is on the menu, for instance, but they accommodated my request to add the vegan sausage to a regular pasta dish (capellini w/ tomato & garlic) and it was delightful. The bread is delicious and the tapenade is incredible! Other reviewers weren't lying about how good it is. I ate so much bread and tapenade that it may as well have been a second meal. We ended the night with tiramisu for my girlfriend who said it's among the best she's had, and they even brought complimentary biscotti. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Palm Springs. Thank you all for the amazing night! Can't wait to come back.

Yummy tasty food we had the ribeye and spinach ravioli. Both were great. Also tried the spumoni, nothing special just basic ice cream scoop. They brought us a complimentary amaretto & biscotti. Enjoy!!

This review is for their weekday happy hour in the bar area from 11 to 6. We had a pizza, gnocchi and a caesar salad and everything was better than expected for the amazing prices. Also a mule and basil martini were very good too. The bartender served us at the bar Wednesday lunchtime and that area was empty. I think this is a great midday option in an otherwise expensive area to eat out.

EVERYTHING is absolutely amazing here i have come at least 3 nights in a row always finding a different meal, that always tastes great. Dessert is absolutely amazing and the service is so nice! Anytime i come to palm springs i am coming HERE!!!!!omg great!!

We have eaten a Sammy Gs since it opened. We have mostly loved the food and the service on 2 occasions. Out of many visits, we had one issue we explained to the Mgr, and he resolved it immediately . The patio dining is wonderful it's a great place for happy hour, great menu, and drinks

There are too many great restaurants in Palm Springs which we will give our business to in the future. The ambience is really the only thing that makes Sammy G's a good restaurant - unfortunate, because with better management, this could easily be an all-around top notch dining experience. Our food took well over an hour to arrive; since the server apologized multiple times, it was obvious even he felt this was way too long to wait for the food. We too had issues with reservations. For our group of 10, our reservations were made weeks in advance. I then followed up several times confirming the number in our party and the table we would prefer (inside vs outside, etc.) including visiting in person the day prior to our reservation to make sure they could accommodate our large group and. Oddly, and for no reason, they kept changing our reservation without us asking them to do so, and never informing us after the fact. In an effort to make up for all of their errors, they promised us a particular table in their tower, which was beautiful, so we were satisfied. When we arrived, they did not have us at the promised table. I spoke with the hostesses (there are multiple hostesses) who did absolutely nothing. After we were all seated, a manager did come over and offer to move us to the promised table, but by that time we were all seated and our drinks were all ordered, so we just decided to stay. Within 20 minutes, they sat a group of 4 people at this very large table that was intended for a much larger group like ours, and was the table we had reserved. They could have redeemed themselves by offering a round of drinks or taken some other gesture - but they did absolutely nothing.

I have been going to Sammy G's for over 10 years. They have always been a good restaurant. I love their menu of Italian meeting California Cuisine. I do have to add that they have gone from a very good restaurant to an extremely excellent restaurant starting in 2020-2021. They emerged from Covid with a renewed purpose, and it shows. I live in Palm Springs year round. Me and my partner have averaged 25-40 visits a year over the past 3 straight years. The exceptional food quality, the amazing setting for the restaurant, the incredible service, and the value Sammy G's offers has raised it to the top restaurant in Palm Springs. This is quite a feat. There are so many great standout dishes for me. Here are my top ones: 1. New York Strip is amazing - The seasoning sauce is to die for. Even with major increases at many Coachella Valley restaurant recently, this dish is still $37. Please compare this to steakhouse prices as this dish is better than many steakhouse dishes. (dinner menu). 2. Linguine pasta with meatballs is just amazing everytime. Sammy G's delivers the best pasta in the Coachella Valley. I am a pasta guru and have tried so many Italian restaurants locally. (lunch or dinner). 3. Chicken Cacciatore is pure deliciousness. My only complaint on this dish is I would prefer pasta to be the side dish. (dinner). I may ask about this possibility tonight. I have a reservation again. 4. Fruit Chicken Salad is innovative and scrumpous. It is tasty fruit with chicken curry. The lunch menu is not as good as the dinner menu, but this dish will prompt a lunch menu visit from time to time. (lunch). 5. Chicken Giuliana is a must try - tremendous. Please look past the Rudy reference. This is a must try dish. (dinner). 6. The New York Steak sandwich and the Meatball paninin also keep me going o the lunch menu more often. A++++++++++++++++ to both lunch dishes. (lunch). 7. Linguine pasta with sausage and peppers is amazing for pasta lovers. It is delicious. I recently tried twice a $3 upgrade on this dish to filet mignone. It was very good, but the cheaper sausage and peppers is the better dish. (dinner). 8. Ham and peas tortelli is a newer dish I really love. I like to add chicken for $6 or so. It completes the meal for me, but you have to ask for this. It is so so good! (dinner) In summary: I have tried many other dishes, and they are excellent as well. The food is just so very good here (at a fair price), it is hard to get in the top ones. The temperature of the food is another strong point of Sammy G's. I would like to add that Sammy G's receives a 4.8 review out of 5 on Open Table. I give this high score much more weighting than Yelp. Open Table attracts more hard core foodies. Sammy G's also gets a high score in value. Please check this restaurant out if you think Italian meets California Cuisine is something that would interest you.
