Service was real bad, I believe his name was Eric, the tall guy with glasses and a hat, really set off a bad mood to start the order with. We greeted him, but he just looked at us without saying anything like we bothered him. We started our order, and every time we added something, it seemed like he was inconvenienced. Our ordering felt rushed and on top of that he got our order wrong. I asked about this after I got and saw receipt, he said he would take care of it to pretty much shoo me away. This place still hasn’t refunded or adjusted my bill. I had asked and wanted it to be adjusted on the spot and double checked, they said they would do it and I’d see it in 7-10 days, it’s been almost 3 weeks now and no news of this. Would I call this place scammy? Maybe. The money spent was not worth the bad service and food received.Bagels were rock hard and bland. Wouldn’t recommend, but since it’s the only bagel joint in town, I guess there’s no other choice? In my opinion, getting your own bagels at Vons or Ralph’s beats this place.EDIT/Response to owners reply:Rock hard a bit hard to believe? First, the two bagels Eric grabbed off the shelf were not toasted, and who knows how long they’ve been on the shelf for. They were definitely very, very tough and did not taste like a fresh bagel. Additionally, why did you not address the poor service provided by your employee? I’m not asking for a Michelin star level service, but acting normal and not a complete grouch right off the bat to patrons is the least we could have asked for. I’m sure most people feel the same way, but when you enter an establishment and get poor service prior to the food, the food will definitely taste different than intended under normal circumstances.Given the slight aggressive nature of your response and inability to receive criticism, I’d prefer to not contact your store, last thing I want to do is to get into an unnecessary argument.Response #2Were the bagels edible? Yes of course, but these bagels were very, very, very tough as I previously mentioned. As if they'd been sitting out for quite some time.On my receipt or ticket stub, it says the cashier was ERIC F, I have no idea who is who and how many employees you have who wear glasses, all I know is the man behind the register is allegedly ERIC F, who was about 6ft or taller, glasses, facial hair and wore a beret style hat.Truthfully, I was very excited to visit your establishment as I was in Palm Springs for a birthday getaway and wanted to get some bagel sandwiches. But the interaction with whoever was behind the counter really soured the experience and taste of the food.

Good food ... poor service centered around quitting time ... as a tourist, my concern is food and service. As long as you are willing to serve and accept a tip, then play it out. I felt rushed, and further the staff was RUDE; sharply critical as I dropped my garbage in the appropriate can. However, there was no liner, and this employee felt the need to make me feel guilty when the responsibility was his. TWO THUMBS DOWN

I was able to get there before they closed and they had so many vegan options! Best bagel sandwich I've had in a while! Their bagels are mostly vegan except for the ones with cheese, vegan cream cheese, vegan butter, veggie toppings, and they offer oat milk!Vegetarian options: Vegan bagels, vegan cream cheese, vegan butter, veggie toppings, and oatmilkDietary restrictions: If you are dairy free, vegetarian, or vegan they have multiple options for you and they'll answer your questions too!

I have this crazy thing where I like people to be polite and friendly, even when they're busy and the food is good. Seems like Eric could really use a vacation, or perhaps a career in something that is actually high stakes so that his attitude can match his environment.

People are lined up to get their bagels. So many selections to choose from. I went with Jalapeño cheese with Jalapeño cream cheese ham and cheddar. Very tasty bagel with a little kick from the jalapeño cream cheese. Although they have a line it moved pretty quickly. Glad we got there early, as the line simply got longer the later in the morning it got. Small indoor seating space with additional seats outside. The coffee tasted good too and pretty much bagels and coffee came out at the same time. Friendly staff working hard to move through the line.

Bagels okay. A bit dried out. Very busy during 'the season,' and it seemed understaffed but hard to imagine how more staff could fit into the smallish prep

Pretty good bagels, but you will WAIT for it. Been here 4 times in the past couple months. Good quality bagels and other things that go with em’. But, if there’s a line prepare to wait for most of an hour to get in and out. I was here very early one time and it wasn’t too bad; but when the tourists line up on vacation with nothing else to do it’s gonna be a long while. Today was 25 minutes in line, then another 20 minutes to get one bagel after ordering. 45 minutes total. The standard statement from employees bringing orders out is “Thanks for waiting”. Their prep area is way too small for the amount of business they do. Staff is friendly, but should double the staff on the line. So yeah, good stuff here but take a book… maybe War & Peace.

I came to this spot happy to see it served Joshua Tree coffee, which is always a treat.Customer service was poor, unfortunately. I arrived at 11:50 & asked for a latte, but the espresso machine was already closed. I was happy to get a drip coffee instead of latte. However, one of the staff was confused as to why the cashier wasn't serving me a latte when they were still open. The service I thought rude was that I went outside to grab something & went back to use the restroom, but they locked the door. I knocked on the door & the cashier (tall man with glasses, a hat) kept flashing me the X symbol with his arms. I know they were trying to close up, but come on. I found this to be extremely rude, considering I just made a purchase. The lemon Danish was yummy! They have a great baker! And like I said, they serve Joshua Tree coffee, which is delicious.
