I’ll put this simply, great food but horrible, horrible service. There’s no order amongst the staff. They’re wait times go over, they take guest orders at random so forget where you are in line. And there’s no priority order. I was told my meal was still being made after it was set for pick up and still had to wait another hour while other patrons would get their orders and leave resulting in having no sides/meals for those already placed. While being serviced the phone rang and the employee put me on hold to talk on the phone. The person there should have priority over a phone call. While I don’t mind sitting and inspecting I wasn’t the only one who noticed how service was and was discussed among others. It’s unfortunate that a establishment that has the potential to do well just their service needs work

The waffle was like eating gingerbread, that's what it taste like to me and the chicken had a burnt taste, it didnt look burnt but they must have fried it in old grease that was previously used and that batch of chicken was burnt. I wont be ordering again from this place.

Terrible terrible terrible! There were only 2 people ahead of us when we got there and we waited in line for close to 40 min. We went for my son’s 15th bday because he was craving chicken and waffles. One of the people taking the orders kept getting the person in front of us’ order wrong. There was a big line of people that formed behind us and people started complaining about the service being too slow. Then when we finally got up to order it took forever for someone to start taking our order. When I asked for the Crackin Combo deal the guy said all they had were wings and that the menu posted was old and some of those items were no longer relevant. We just left. Huge waste of our day.

Over priced and just all around not good. They gave me a plate of food with two chicken wings that look like them brothers was starving, looked like that chicken didn’t eat for years - plate was 25 dollars. Pre-order food and still waited in store for about an hour. The store didn’t have any waffles and when they attempted to substitute everything I asked for they also didn’t have. It came down me just taking whatever was available so I could get out of the store.

Brought the fam here last week, pretty good. The portions are huggggggeee. But hot sauce, and chicken was good, same with the waffles. Pretty damn good wish they had a bit more actual food to choose from though. The 3 chicken wings are big big trust me.

I placed an online order for a "Big Jay's Favorite" meal and 2 "What the Cluck Sandwich" sandwiches from their online menu: I was given an 11:00am pickup time and arrived at 11:08am but stood in line waiting for service for 15 minutes when the manager/owner finally asked at 11:23am if I was picking up an order. I told her my name and gave her my order/confirmation number, but she stated, "I don't do chicken" and "you'll have to talk to them" while pointing at someone behind the counter where other customers were also waiting in line for service. I was then forced to wait in that line for another 17 minutes before being told that they couldn't find my order but they were going to start cooking the chicken right then at 11:40am. The chicken was ready at 12:00pm but they still needed to cook the waffles. I, again, asked about my order at 12:10pm then at 12:17pm, they stated that they were out of waffles and that I could select any side dish as a replacement. I was finally given my order at 12:23pm but it was incomplete: the order should have contained a 1/2 chicken with 2 waffles, but I was only given 2-drumsticks and the substitute side dish. Their stated reason was that they were out of everything else and only had drums, never addressing the fact that they gave me 2 pieces rather than 4 pieces that would normally be in a 1/2 order of chicken or that they neglected to mention that they were out of chicken when handing me my order. Rather than do the right thing by simply adding the missing chicken, they chose to argue the fact that they were out of chicken and waffles, as if that's the customer's fault. At 12:28pm, they stated that they'd cook more chicken and I'd have to wait 10 - 15 minutes more. I was finally given the additional pieces of chicken at 12:41pm, which contained 2 more drums and a couple of wings that they previously claimed they didn't have. But while I was waiting for my order, an employee walked over to me and stated here's your order, but the container was much larger than it should have been, so I questioned her as she walked away and to my extreme surprise, she very rudely stated "that's your rib order!" Now, I could've said OK and walked out with the very large rib order, but it wasn't mine and it would have inconvenienced someone else who's waiting for that order. It speaks to their extreme inattentiveness, unprofessionalism, incompetence and disrespect. My simple order took 1-hour and thirty-three minutes from the time that I entered the building to walking out, but it gets worse! The drums were clearly leftover and refried, which made them burnt, tough, and difficult to chew (see the attached pictures). The two "What the Cluck Sandwich" sandwiches were advertised as containing a chicken breast but were just scraps, gristle, fat, bits, and small pieces of chicken (see the attached picture) that were placed on a bun then covered with mac-n-cheese, coleslaw and dressing to conceal the scraps, gristle, and fat. Additionally, the employees, manager/owner were extremely rude, extremely unprofessional, extremely slow, appeared disorganized, and were not customer focused! They were disrespectfully and rudely yelling at customers. I contacted them using the contact data on their website but did not get a response. It's no wonder that they, apparently, can't remain at a location for very long, as they've been at several locations in the AV, including a short time in the AV Mall area and are now on Ave K. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!

10/8/21 710p, I ordered the crackin special which has 2 waffles and 1/4 chicken. You sent me 1 waffle, and now you won't answer your phone...yeah right!! That's what I get for ordering online...so I called again 810p, Susan answered and heard my explanation and put the phone down, and I waited 10 min and 43, then they hung up. I called again, 827p, Susan answered again, I asked for the manager, she said she was the manager. Explained that I ordered at 708p thru Doordash, and when he delivered, my order was incomplete. She told me I had to call Doordash, I asked why call doordash if my food came from crackin, she repeated "you have to call doordash," said thank you and hung up the phone. This review is why it's very difficult to support black owned businesses. I hope their lights stay on with my $4.50 for a waffle and no responsibility for their error.

Some of the best crispy chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. Some of the portions are small, but it was good.

Update: See photos were owner of Dickeys text me from his personal number to continue. (Crackin' is a Ghost Kitchen in Dickeys) They apparently didn't like my review or me calling to complain, so they looked up my name and number. Then called me and harassed me text. I have a 10 minute video on my phone of the owner of this Dickey's insulting me and belittling me.This shop has gotten numerous tries from myself and my social circle. It's agreed among us that the service here is horrible. They constantly have delays or missing items with online orders. They also run "ghost kitchens" out of the same spot, and they also have issues. Missing items, wrong items, and tardiness. When I have gone in for pick up orders for BBQ they are still not able to get it together. To add insult to injury. None of the food is good, or average. It's not poor quality, but small servings, not seasoned, and just not high quality.

Happened a while ago. Two separate times. Once a friend ordered for pickup and waited 90 minutes past pick up. Second time I tried to order through an app and half the order came up missing.

I'm not quite sure what was wrong with the day I went in, but I ordered and paid in person at 640pm. Sat there on my phone and watched a lot of ppl come in and out. I waited inside the entire time. Come 745pm I ask about my order she says they are getting ready to bag it. 8pm they can't find my order. I was given an apology and refund. By 8pm all the other soul food restaurants are closed in this area.I'll never come back here.
