Had a couple of tacos (chicken and carnitas) for lunch, which included rice and beans. After ordering, I was served freshly made tortilla chips with 2 different salsas, salsa roja and salsa verde. All of it was amazing. The sauces had a good spice to them. These were the best tacos, rice and beans I have ever had. Everything was so tasty but very light at the same time. It wasn't overly seasoned but was delicious and flavorful. The atmosphere is fairly basic, but that is part of the charm. This isn't your regional/national chain mexican restaurant. They have bright, vibrant colors on the walls. I would call this a "whole in the wall" place, and it was totally worth it. I would absolutely go here again!

This Mexican restaurant is the best one that the Antelope Valley has to offer. Yes, it's a hole in the wall type restaurant, and there are no frills here. Just good food and friendly service! The owners are fantastic people as well. Everything I've had here is just like my mom's cooking. There are even items that are prepared, but not in the menu! They have a secret menu, but you have to order ahead of time. Stop by and try the Javier Bowl (named after me), the Cabrera burrito, and other countless good dishes. Order the Northern Mexico style gorditas, the best guava and cheese empanadas (must order at least an hour ahead of time). There is also great ceviche and aguachiles. This place is legit!!

The place is hidden, next to other businesses that were closed so I thought one was too until you see theirs business hours posted. Anyway my daughter and I went to try this place out.1st because we saw it another time we passed by and said we’d try it. And another we were in the area and hungry.didn’t like what I ate, menudo, well I kind of expected more authentic homemade taste, this was more like you guys opened a can of Juanita’s menudo and just added some of your tripe in it… just a bit.. but more or less the taste was like a can , one lonely limon i got and three tortillas … ? the other thing we ordered. Well if I wanted that I would have gone best to Pollo Loco… anyway I can’t continue to write this review because it was just not good and maybe we should have stuck with just tacos huh… anyway never coming back here and won’t recommend it. Waste of $40 for sure. And yeah, good thing I didn’t tip at the beginning of me paying for the food. No way…

Don’t let the minimalist interior fool you. This place is top notch. We had the chicken tacos and they were fresh, spicy and flavorful. The staff are super friendly and overall this place is a great value. We snarfed it down in 2 minutes flat.

I am shock how this place has so many reviews. This place was horrible. Wife and I came on Sunday morning because we wanted pozole and menudo. For two small bowls and two cokes, we paid over $40.The pozole had no flavor, and it was pork… but no meat at all. Pozole just had bones, it’s like a bone broth soup. My menudo, it was all soup. Like 10 homeny and 4 pieces of tripe. Even what little I had, it was chewy and undercook. My wife and I left this place feeling hungry because at the end, it was all water we had.

So far, best tacos in town. A local shop that deserves your business over chipotle hands down. The carnitas are the finest in the land and the Al Pastor needs no salsa.

Ordered a burrito asada without pico de gallo, and it was pretty yummy. Very fulfilling burrito as a lunch item.

The food is delicious and authentic. It reminds me of my friends moms cooking (since I’m not Mexican) and it’s yummy. Definitely will recommend. Tried Menudo and it was delicious. Great service and a home made relaxing ambiance!
