“We ordered the oxtail stew which was VG, served over risotto with veggies. Two friends ordered the prefixed lunch for $20 which was bbq ribs, veggies, and mashed potatos. Not a big order but they were satisfied. We would definitely go back to try other dishes off the menu. Give this place a try.“
“The Refuge is known for its pastrami sandwiches and excellent rotating craft beer selection. Now, I’m from New York City, the land of Katz’s Deli pastrami sandwiches, so my bar is pretty high, and it would be blasphemy for me to even compare the two, but I have to hand it to them, it’s a pretty spectacular pastrami sandwich. Highly recommend.“
“As I mentioned on other reviews, our plans over the summer were changed at the last minute by wildfires in Canada. This resulted in us having to change plans on the hoof and for a number of reasons we ended up booking 3 nights here. The hotel is OK – I’d say it feels more like an upscale business hotel not a vacation spot (though it was very busy with families in July). For me, it didn’t feel luxurious enough in terms of the room product or location. Our first suite looked over a very busy road but we were then moved to overlook the pool which was better. The suite is more like a junior suite with the bedroom area separated by a partial wall. The sleeping area was small, however the bed was comfortable with very soft linens. There is a small hallway leading into the sitting area which is well stocked with coffee maker, kettle, fridge, cups etc. The bathroom - although it only had a single basin - had plenty of storage and had a large shower cubicle with rain-head as well as a good bath. The dressing room had very little short-hanging space but other than that was well planned. However, the staff in the restaurant are VERY good – several of them German, perfectly trained and on point. One of them recommended the excellent Village Pub for a meal one evening which we very much enjoyed. Also, if there on a Thursday do go to the bar - Thursday evenings are rather an entertaining “scene”.“
“The food was surprisingly delicious. We ordered appetizers and drinks. Service was great. We watched a concert show and the comedians were hilarious. Rated 4 star because the area was very crowded. It looks like they could have opened another area of the restaurant, but they didn’t.“
“Visited Rustic House while in town on business week of 4/1/24. Food and service were fantastic. I recommend the crab and lobster linguini!! It was so good that I went back the following day to get it again! Great experience for a first timer in CA - thanks“
“This place looks like an old fashioned diner. The food was great and service was quick. I loved the fries. They’re the thick cut fries (but not steak fries) and they’re crispy, not soggy. They also offer local sodas! I’d definitely come back!Vegetarian options: My nephew is vegetarian and came here specifically to get their garden burger with fries.“
“I've been to Eureka! a few times now and generally have enjoyed it. The food was pretty good, the beer selection was marvelous, the only thing I didn't appreciate was how loud it got. It was hard to hear each other. Otherwise, it's great!“
“Great course- not too hard, not too easy. Lots of Par 4s, as expected for an 18 hole. The staff is friendly (Mike is the starter, really good guy) and the cost is reasonable. Carts are clean and the course is maintained. It's a bit "trippy" driving in, as it's behind NASA & Moffett Field. You'll need to have your State issued ID Ready to get through the gate to get to the course. Otherwise facility is clean. NO GEESE which is great! I plan to make this a regular spot to play at. I used a cart this time, but if i had a bit more time, i'd walk the course. Parking can get full, so be prepared to park on the street just outside the main facility. The putting green is right by the starting hole, and the range looks good, although i haven't hit on that range yet. Staff is friendly in the clubhouse and at the restaurant/bar. when i go back, i'll post some pics of some of the holes.“
“I frequently attend happy hours here, and the beer selection is great. The bartenders are welcoming and go out of their way to make the service great. I ordered a NASA Spacebar pint glass for my beer and the bartender rinsed and iced the glass before carefully pouring my beer to the rim with the optimal amount of head.Attention to detail is on point here, and I'm glad for service like this.“
“Drinks were strong and delicious. Bartender was attentive and helpful. I got a half order of Caesar salad which was surprisingly delicious. Got a pecan Old Fashioned which was good, but on the sweet side. Then got an Oban 14 year scotch. Definitely was on the pricier side. But very convenient.“
“This is a fun spot to get together with friends after a day at the corporate office and hang out at the social office! They've got a good menu and large selection of beer. You can sit down and start a tab on trivia nights (Monday 7p). There's a heated by fire pit outdoor space or some tables inside or at the bar. Parking is street and the staff is friendly but don't expect too much chitchat. They're often busy!“
“Craft House bar is the cleanest bar I have ever been to good food good sodas and good customer service the bartenders are very sweet and the owner is the greatest friend I could ever have it is an amazing bar and the bar has quieted down over the years since the new owners became the owner of craft house I am very pleased with the friendships I have there and it's amazing how this bar has come a long way.“
“This review is long overdue. Scotty's is truly a neighborhood gem. The owner Scotty is a thoughtful person that cares about creating an experience where customers are safe, and are able to enjoy their time. The Bartender staff is also warm and creates a hospitable customer service experience. The real reason I frequent this place is for the wings. Unmatched. If you want a nice neighborhood vibe, with good food and drinks, this is the spot. Lots of bars in the area, but none of them compare to the experience you get coming here.“
