Great food, friendly service. I love bringing my girlfriend here because there is something for both of us. I’m a vegetarian and she’s a carnivore and we both leave very happy! She loves the Lomo Saltado steak and I love the Pasta Page Mill. It’s great having this place in the neighborhood.

We went to Machiavello for dinner and enjoyed the eclectic, chic, bright decor. The food was amazing with creative, cultural infusions. The wait staff was not hovering and allowed us to enjoy conversation with our family and friends. We are making Machiavello our new go-to restaurant for fantastic good and cheerful ambience!

The Fettuccini a la Huancaina was incredible! It was a huge bowl of cheesy, creamy, garlic-y pasta topped with a piece of breaded chicken breast. You can't go wrong if you order this dish... brb still dreaming about that sauce....

The food here is wonderful, fresh, and made to order - and I cannot say enough good things about it! I had a pasta and chicken dish and it was delicious - but my friend had their flambe steak (can't remember the name of the dish) and I almost stole it from her. It was just PERFECT. We asked the owner for recommendations, and he asked us a lot of questions, so as to get something for us that we'd really like (rather than what HE'D like). The owners (husband/wife team) are both charming, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and go way out of their way to make sure you are enjoying everything about their restaurant. It is an open kitchen (which I always like) so you can see how clean and professional the chef is - and my friend saw her flambe entree being set aflame on the grill - so it's not only good food, it can be entertaining as well!

We must have got the wrong address. The one at the end of page mill under some condominiums was closed when we arrived. This was after I made reservations and someone called me to confirm. When I called back, there was no answer

We came in on a Friday for lunch with 7 people. We had made a reservation but the place wasn't too busy. The staff are super friendly and the place has a nice ambiance. We got started with their Machiavello bruschetta, which the menu warns "you will get addicted". Well, they were right. It was so delicious and made me want more. For the main dish, I ordered the fettuccini a la huancaina con Milanesa. When I ordered it the waiter warned us that it would be big. Turns out they were right again. The pasta was so cheesy and delicious, and they top it with some chicken. All of us who ordered that dish had to get to-go boxes. Parking was a bit hard since we didn't know that we could park in the complex's garage, but there was available street parking less than a block away. I think this is one of the best places in Palo Alto and I'll definitely be returning!

This place had such potential but we went on a day when they were changing the menu so they had hardly anything on the menu. The hostess was very nice but the food wasn't anything special. I actually was a bit disappointed.

Went here for the first time with my mother and grandmother. We were all born and raised in Peru, so finding places that serve Peruvian is always a treat. The service: they were understaffed -- they let that be known from the beginning -- but still the service was exceptional. The chef let us know that what my grandma originally wanted would likely take 45 minutes to make because it hadn't been pre-prepared. I thought that was a great attention to customer service, we definitely would not have wanted to wait. The food: I ordered lomo saltado and it's some of the best I have had in the entire. United. States. I'm not exaggerating. The second best is in Los Angeles. The meat was juicy, the flavor was on point, and overall it was 11/10. My grandma had something made for her that was not on the menu -- a fish dish. She loved it. Flavor was great as well. My mother had fettuccine a la huancaina -- the chicken on top was good, but the fettuccine could've used more sauce. I don't dock any points for the fettuccine, although usually I would, because the owner came to chat with us afterwards to ask for our honest opinion. We gave him our feedback, and I found it to be a nice touch to ask their native costumers what their opinion was. Will definitely come back.

Excellent food - super service We went on a Friday night and loved the food However, the place was empty - I think its probably the location - they are on the wrong side of the California Ave downtown section Their bruschettas, gnocchi and pizza were all excellent I will say though that the impression we got was that this is not a "fine dining" establishment - it seems to cater to a breakfast/lunch crowd - that's just the impression we got without actually knowing the reality on our first visit Overall friendly service and nice food

Aside from the food being bad, the service and everything else was just absolutely sub-par. Won't be back. Regret going. Ouch. Plenty of other amazing places to go.

This place is terrible. They messed up multiple parts of our order, the platter with "meats" and "cheeses" (note: plural) actually came with a single meat and single cheese...staff were rude and they had a child in the food prep area playing with the pizza dough. Gross. Avoid. Update: the owners response to my review is false for a number of reasons: 1. I didn't take a picture of the food because it was literally taken away from me when I mentioned that what was served didn't match the menu description. I would have loved to share pictures of how underwhelming the meal was, but I never had the chance. 2. The child was playing with dough in the food prep area. This was not some sort of "make your own pizza program" 3. The meal was not "upgraded" to "caviar or meat and cheese", it was literally taken away from me, so I asked for it to be removed from the bill and we left And finally, personally attacking me with low-level insults really demonstrates what kind of customer service this place delivers. Note to readers: if you're considering eating at this place, I would recommend against it, unless you like the idea of underwhelming food and abusive owners...
