We had a really nice evening dining and walking around afterwards inside the hotel areas. The fact that the restaurant name has “poolside” in it got our attention and we were looking for American cuisine on Google. Once we approached the restaurant it really lightened up our eyes, the environment is nearly perfect. If you want to sit indoors you have warm places with fair lighting, if you want to sit near the pool you can as well. The foods are just delicious and of fair price. Truffle fries are the best! I would recommend this restaurant and maybe this hotel (without being a hotel guest) to anyone who visits Palo Alto or just want to dine in the area.Thai style and the ambience are a plus!

Eating lunch by the pool felt like being on vacation even when I was only 10 miles from home. The service was extremely friendly.

Restaurant review only as we stopped by to have a cocktail and Dinah's salad w/chicken as we were going to The Sea later for dinner. The service was good except for they forgot to give us silverware. The Mimosa and Mai Tai were very good and so was the salad. We split the salad and it was a generous portion. The eating area was nice and relaxing as the weather was sunny. The dining area is next to the pool. If it gets cold they have heat lamps.

The property is very clean and the staff was very friendly and courteous. I only have one complaint and it is truly minor. I wish that the 3rd floor room would have had an actual balcony to step onto.

Great happy hour and service, entree was delicious the first night (salmon) and alright the second (steak frites). Wines are heavy pours especially for CA.

Dinah's Poolside Restaurant is excellent in every way. It is casual, friendly, quiet, and surrounded by pleasant scenery. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The service is excellent! The outside seating is obviously best when the weather is sunny and bright, but even when the weather is not so great, it is comfortable and both the service and food are as excellent as ever.

Dinah's restaurant offers a wonderful Valentines ambience. Each table has a beautiful rosebud and heart table runner. Even your napkin is folded into a rose bed. Although it was raining, this poolside restaurant still offered three distinct dining areas that were covered and warm. Our server was friendly, cheerful and very attentive. On Valentine's Day, they offer a price fix menu that includes your choice of three alcoholic beverages, complementary amuse-buche, starter, entrée, dessert. The margaritas we ordered were nice and quite strong! Our server Theme brought us the complementary Amoo Bush, which was a lobster bisque with sea foam and puff pastry, it was savory and delicious The beet salad and sea scallops starters came next, both also very good. I was impressed with how large the sea scallops were, cooked to "just done" and very tender. Next game, our entrées, pan, seared salmon and filet mignon. Both also cooked to the perfect dead, tender and moist. The sauces on the plate complemented it just right. The tiramisu had a lovely custard layer between the soaked ladyfingers, this dessert is special. The cheesecake was on par for cheesecake. All in all, this was a wonderful Valentines meal, and everything was perfect. I would definitely come back to try the regular menu and consider for celebrating future special events here.

Horrible mix-up with Open Table reservations. Made confirmed reservations on Valentine's Day, but upon arrival we were informed there was a special party and they couldn't seat us. After some wrangling, they seated us outside in the cold, but we did have great service, but choice of only one expensive fixed price menu. Trouble was with Open Table wrongly confirming. Not sure who to blame.

I love this place. It's a hidden oasis from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley w a nice outdoor patio overlooking their retro pool. This is a great outdoor restaurant for all seasons. During the winter, they have heat lamps and an awning to protect against the rain. The fries are crispy. Food is generally pretty good. Coffee is awful though. Good for large groups. They have fish and you can entertain children by asking them for fish food to feed to said fish. This was my go-to meeting place during the pandemic because of the outdoor seating.

As always, Dinah is a unique and great place to go for a friendly meal in a unique "50s" setting.. Poolside...simple menu with great choices and great execution... Appetizers..plus, entrees, and good wine choices that will not overwhelm you... Dinah's continues to be a under-rated gem in the penisula

A group of us go to Dinah's monthly for breakfast. We've been doing this for several years, and always enjoy the assortment of breakfast/lunch items available. The french fries are absolutely the best ever -- delicious for breakfast! The staff are helpful, attentive, pleasantly tolerant of our inability to make quick menu selections, fun, keep the coffee/tea water hot and filled. Hugo is absolutely delightful - always greets and welcomes us, and stops by our table to make sure everything is good and to add some personal conversation to our group.

I found this via Google Maps (thanks Google!). Four of us sat at a poolside table in the evening- thankfully they had several heaters and one of those made a huge difference 'cos it was chilly that evening. The food? Two of us had fish and chips, and it was delicious.

Excellent service! Great breakfast! I would highly recommend the Boss omelette with hash browns. Even the coffee was delightful.
