I am heartbroken and saddened that this amazing restaurant in multiple locations or overall are going to be closing. . I have been working on restoring my relationship with a love of my life I'm happen to have been there on July 30th. On the love of my life's mother's birthday. From beginning to end everything was amazing and perfect as usual when we go to the fish or any fish market. I wish there was a way to keep this amazing restaurant open.

This is a no substitution restaurant. Ask for a lite sauce, not possible. Ask for less mayo, not possible. Food is pre-made and served up,so options become limited.Hostess mentioned she was hard of hearing and that was her snobby side. Not quite a selling point for a restaurant when u prefer a quieter place to sit and try to ask for it. Crabmeat was great but not served hot and very mushy w/ the sauce served, for an appetizer. The restaurant is nice and has been around for awhile. But, not a high recommendation for a light fare in food.Dietary restrictions: Restaurant is not able to change the food, much. It's pre made so not much variation allowed.

They ADD 4% for using a credit card! Because of this practice, I don't come here near as often as I otherwise would. Better restaurants NEVER do this. The Fish is very good. There clam chowder is the best I've ever had. They close crazy early, so watch out for that. Service is excellent and there is plenty of free parking on their property.

It could be that I had set my hopes too high. A place that's been around THIS long, in THIS area??? ?The crab and shrimp roll was on point! The calamari, was above average, but packed any "wow" factor either in seasoning, sauce, or that OMG breading texture that we crave in 'good' fried food.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp included from parking lot!

The food was so good. My family and I enjoyed it.

The delicious sourdough rolls have been replaced, unfortunately, with bread which was quite hard and a bit of a disappointment compared with the rolls. The dishes were good as always, we have had the Dungeness Crab Cioppino, which, is a huge size fit for two I believe and the New York Steak, which was covered in a herbs mixture that was overpowering a bit the taste of the meat.

If you like fish, the fish market is a reliable source of some great fish meals. I've been eating there and loving it for many years. They have scaled their menu back somewhat from what it used to be pre-pandemic but there are still many excellent options available.

What a disappointment it used to be a great place we had not been there for a few years the food was very disappointing indeed and over priced small portions of frozen chips and basic fish with minimal preparation. The place was deserted we remember when it was packed so sad to see we had been coming for over 20 years on trips to the US this place is now off our list sad sad sad

Famous spot that’s been a go-to forever. Large, open space that is more family or group oriented than intimate dinning. Local chain with multiple locations. Seems a bit worn or tired after the pandemic. Could use some new energy. Fish and chips were just a bit soggy and seemed to come from a warmer rather than cooked to order. I’d give 3.5 stars.

Went twice in the last week. Had a bowl of New England Clam Chowder on both visits. On the first visit, it was hands down the best Clam Chowder I've ever eaten, smooth and tasty, but on the second visit it was gritty and I'm not a fan of that. the Key lime pie was great, big slice and very tasty. The Creme Brulee on the other hand had nice custard, but too much sugar on the top which was not so much caramelized as it was burnt on one half which ruined the flavor of the desert. Other than the burnt part, it was nicely presented (see picture). A colleague tried the fish and chips and gave me a piece of the fish to try which was amazing, nice light batter and glistening fish. The fries were either battered or double fried and were not appealing either visually or taste wise. Visually their dish was all fried, so brown all over which detracted from how good the fish tasted. Staff were very pleasant and food came out quickly which as was appreciated as it was a business lunch for us. I think with a little concentration on quality control and attention to the visual appeal it could have been a 5 star experience.

Nothing but farm raised fish very overly priced. Had not been there in long time. Used to have to wait to get seated. This time hardly anyone there. What a disappointment.

Deserved five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐My friends, five people, and I visited this place for the first time. Everything is perfect for us. Waiting time for the food is great. Staff also helpful to recommend the menu. The most important thing is the food is tasty and fresh!

stopped in on rainy Tuesday for lunch. the wait for our meal took forever. we ordered bowl of clam chowder, ,oysters and steam mussels and clams. the chowder arrived immediately and we shared because the rest of the order didn't come .then our waiter told us that there were no mussels and clams..so my husband ordered fish tacos. ...then we waited and we waited for oysters and tacos to arrive. the service was terrible.and the place was not that busy... no excuse for service

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night (10.29.2022). First time for dinner for us as we were long (like 25 year) customers of The Fish Market Santa Clara location which is now closed :( oh well great memories! Anyway had a really good dinner meal here but more importantly saw our long term server Charny there, she is exceptional! She worked with my wife on the best gluten free selections, great service! Yes we will be back soon! Thanks Charny, John

The menu at The Fish Market is SO limited, and so PRICEY!! I have visited many times yet there is nothing I would order a second time or recommend. The staff, and management, changes frequently which is concerning. There is nothing that makes me want to go back to The Fish Market - Palo Alto...
