Don't bother! If it's fresh, it's good. If not.... Day old donuts at the Motel 6. $4 for a hostess cupcake? Yes pair that with a $6 Starbucks

I've been ordering gf birthday cakes from Kara's for years. We've always been very happy, that is until last year. There was a mixup, but I thought things happen and I let it go. This year, I ordered another cake from them. The cake looks horrible. The icing on the top wasn't even smooth. We cut open the cake, and I kid you not, the icing was a good 3/4" think on the top and at least 1/2" between layers and on the edge. Even my husband who loves icing thought it was too much. It's like they had a newbie decorate the cake. We're super disappointed and will be looking for another gf bakery.

Dropped my cupcake on the floor and they were really nice and got me a new one. Would go back just because of the customer service. The carrot cake is really good and the banana is great too. The chocolate frosting is a bit rich for me

I ordered a 12 pack for $60. I tried multiple flavors and realized that these cupcakes were mediocre and overpriced. Equivalent to SAFEWAY BAKERY A box of macaroons IS WAY BETTER from the grocery outlet. S'mores flavor IS the only reason I would come here.

The cupcakes taste worse than the packaged ones in a supermarket. Not worth the money or calories.

I bought four mini cupcakes today of various kinds. My personal opinion, these are not high quality. The Meyer lemon’s buttercream was pure butter on top, so fatty, I don’t enjoy a mouthful of pure butter. The other cupcakes were a little too dry for my taste, like a day or two old. All in all, so sweet and sugary, it blends over any taste. Can’t sense any finesse or love for the product here.

Waste of money. Waste of time. Terrible service experience. Discovered Kara's a year back and been here multiple times including large orders for birthdays and for parties. Ordered 4pack on DoorDash and explicity detailed both flavi preference and to call if unavailable. Got a pack of random flavors delivered. Ended up driving in person to resolve but was rudely turned away by both service person and manager with ZERO accountability or problem solving. Excuse given : "I didn't see the instruction" " We can't do anything " Such a bummer considering we'd been regulars until now.

My friend and I came here for the first time while we in the Town and Country Village. The staff was very friendly and explained the variety of cupcake flavors and fillings they had to help us make our mind. They offer both mini and regular sized cupcakes. I tried the smores and passionfruit cupcakes. Both of them were good with the exception of the frosting on the passionfruit cupcake, which tasted a bit waxy and odd. I would not get that one again. However, my friend did enjoy the meyer lemon and chocolate cupcakes. There is some seating outdoors but it is mostly to-go.

I ordered from here for a corporate party and our guests just LOVED the cupcakes! Wonderful flavor selection and super cute design. Will certainly order from here again!

Service was great. A lot of attention and welcoming. The atmosphere has nothing in particular but it's more a pick up place, not a dine in. I came here following a friend's suggestion but the cupcakes I was served were not great, cause I felt very bad afterwards :(

We walked in and we're not greeted, the person working seemed annoyed that we were there. We joked that it was our first time at this store and asked what cupcakes had filing and what she recommended. The worker quickly listed off the cupcakes that had filling then answered the phone. She did not ask us to wait, she ignored us while on the phone. We were the only people in the store so it was not busy at all. We then left, we felt ignored, the person working seemed annoyed and did not want to sell us anything. It may have been a great dessert we will never know...

A lot of flyers . box is not free . Owner is not friendly and polite . If you running this type of business make sure you smile to kids ;) just suggestion . Then you will have a lot of costumers . Good luck! I am done with this place . It was my first time and 100% last visit

Kara's cupcakes is a boutique bakery that offers cupcakes and cakes that are baked with nuts and nut products. It is not a nut free bakery. They can accommodate different dietary restrictions. They offer gluten-free and vegan cupcakes as well. One thing to note is that their vegan cupcakes are not gluten-free, and their gluten-free cupcakes are not vegan. You can find all their cupcake flavors in regular size and mini size. The store was pretty empty when we went there, and they had run out of some of the flavors in the mini size. I tried 4 different mini cupcakes - 2 fruity flavors and 2 non fruity. The 2 fruity flavors I got were banana and passion fruit. I couldn't taste the passion fruit at all, and the banana one had a hint of banana flavor. The cupcakes had a dry texture, and they weren't moist at all. The icing on top was liquidy and oily. The 2 non fruity flavors that I tried were red velvet and fluer de sel. Fleur de sel was probably the best of all despite it being only decent. The cupcakes were a bit pricy for their taste. The person at the counter was also not the most helpful person. They were out of a lot of flavors, but instead of notifying us about that, she waited for us to pick our flavors first. We had 4 - 5 rounds of back and forth before we finalized all the flavors because every time we picked a flavor, she informed us that they didn't have that in stock anymore. A lot of time and energy could have been saved had she notified us at the beginning about the flavors that aren't available.Kara's cupcakes is located in a busy strip mall, so parking can be a bit tricky. Please be aware of those 20-30 minute parking spots if you dont want to get ticketed for parking over the alloted time limit. The store is pretty empty inside and appears to be set up for mostly pickup/to go orders.

What can I say. I am addicted to their chocolate coconut cupcakes. Their locations are out of the way for me though. They used to have a spot in Sanatana Row that was perfect. Now I only go when I'm in the area
