1. Food was good.2. Server was the worst I've seen in a long while. One of us has allergies, and we know it's more trouble to work with customers with allergies, so we tend to be apologetic about it. She told us the dish he was interested in had the stuff he was allergic to and he could try to pick it out himself. Uh that's not how allergies work. She was not just rude to us, she rolled her eyes at her coworker and snapped at him in front of us. We were made to feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable just wanted to leave as soon as possible. We left a 18% tip. One the one hand, the food was pretty good. On the other hand, I might just order food delivery if I ever wanted food from them again.

Another great experience at Lima Ruby: food is delicious, good service and strong cocktails. Don't miss the empanadas and the ceviche. The grilled octopus is incredibly tender and flavorful.

If you are looking for a fusion Peruvian restaurant in the Bay area, this is it! One of the best! Realy cozy restaurant with the great service, delicious food. The waiters always explain the history of the dish you wanna order. The cocktails are high-end! Every time looking forward to come back. At least once a month. I wanna try all menu, so, getting there. And don't forget to order the desert. My favorite always was passionate (on the picture), but last time we tried Peruvian flan. Omg, one of tge best flan I have ever tried, maybe even the best one. Highly highly recommend this place! See you soon guys!

Food is very good, I would say the main difference is the sauce for every dishes, love all of them. Salmon taste very tender, Parrilla de mer tasted like grilled fajitas. Dessert is sweet and soft, we finished them all.

I loved it! It is a place where I will go back for sure next time I visit Palo Alto.Staff is SUPER professional and friendly, the food is DELICIOUS!I ordered the octopus for me, but next time I want to order the salmon, that looked fantastic. The empanada was great, the deserts... I would marry that cheese cake!Vegetarian options: vegetables.

I went here for a friend's birthday dinner and had a great experience. The Peruvian Tiki and Pisco Punch are both great drink options that are on the sweeter side. My friends got the mixed ceviche and said it was top notch. I really enjoyed the arroz con pollo, super flavorful and it was a big portion as well. We didn't order any desserts, but our waiter was really kind and brought over an alfajor with a sparkler in the middle for the birthday girl. A great option for a meal in downtown Palo Alto!

Absolutely delicious! Ordered the lomo saltado. Was prepped to perfection and the serving time was very fast. Great setting, nice staff and the yucca huancaina sauce was soo good

We were finally able to try out this Peruvian restaurant that we had heard so much about. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We came for an early dinner around 5:30 and there was no wait. The drinks were on point. Do not skip the pisco sours. My favorite is the chicha morada pisco spire but my wife and mom liked the passion fruit version. The desserts were also good. Do not skip the Lucuma ice cream. Overall a very good experience.

Love this place!! The Classic fish (snapper) ceviche (and mixto, with shrimp and octopus) are the best, and quite a hearty portion. It's sour, just with lime, no tomatoes, with giant corn and a few slices of sweet potatoes. The octopus is so tender. The sesame tuna is also excellent. And the grilled octopus. Also liked the classic Pisco sour. The volcano cake is good too.Parking: Thereis a huge parking garage not too far from the restaurant.

Only stopped for drinks & appetizers, but it was great venue. Loved the cute patio, creative drinks & the chips & salsa with the added cheese dip! If in the area again, would stay for dinner.

I have no much experience with Peruvian foods. Came here mostly for its seafood selections.Ordered a bottle of white to wait for my companion. It came, nicely, in an ice bucket. After we have ordered, the waiter/maître d' put two tables together so that we won't be crowded by the dishes and foods. Nice.Tiraditos was slices of thinly sliced Salmon soaked in thick sauce and dotted with white bean-like things (corns?) that I cannot identify. It came with a shot glass of "hot sauce" that I did not touch. It was delicious. We then also shared a bowl of seafood soup (must be the Peruvian Cioppinio) that had fish, clams, and mussels. It was also wonderfully done, full of flavors and goodies.I ordered Arroz Con Mariscos which is similar to Paella -- rich flavorful rice packed with lots of seafoods, mostly shell fish. It was excellent. We did not order dessert, instead we had a shot of good whiskey to end the lovely meal.

We had a casual Sunday evening dinner before the crowds. First time there, and we'll be back. Excellent Pisco sours. Arroz con pollo a la Chiclayana very tasty. As was lomo saltado which had excellent cuts of beef. Staff friendly. All part of same family. We lived in Lima for many years, and the evening brought back wonderful memories. Strongly recommend.
