Good food in a great atmosphere. Could easily become a regular at this bright and airy bistro-style cafe bar. Wouldn’t be difficult to while many hours away in this lovely space, with friends, a book or a laptop. Very good food and drink options.

Best place to grab a quick sit down lunch in Palo Alto. Great atmosphere and delicious food. My friends and I were seated right away and within 10 minutes had our full meals right in front of us. Menu is also huge and has an option for everyone!

Local Union offers a solid food and cocktail menu. I ordered the waygu flank steak, and it was good, though it was served more medium rather than the medium rare I had ordered. Their cocktails were well prepared, though my Sazerac was just a tad on the sweet side. Service was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and wonderful.

This place was such a cute spot to host a coworkers going away party. However, the service fell short. The bartender was amazing and ended up taking all of our orders for both food and drink when we couldn't get a hold of our waiter. The wait staff was not very helpful and would come to our table and only as a few of us what we wanted and left. Which made us have to call over someone else for the rest of the group. The atmosphere was great, just wish the service was better.

Drinks overpriced for what you get. Waiter was clueless to what was on the menu with regard to ingredients & preparation. We were charged for fountain club soda that they use at the bar. Really? The very expensive, $22/glass, wine was at least a day if not 3 old. It was bad. The space was cold because the door was kept open for the convenience of the waiters. There was an awful over-antiseptic smell on the way to the bathroom.

5/5 experience working with Local Union. We have hosted large events (70+) people with them, and they are so easy to work with. The food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are phenomenal. The staff are so helpful, accommodating, and kind. I will continue to use them for large events because everyone just loves going here!

Excellent service - and the food is solid. Definitely a place to go for 4-6 people. The ambience is nice - it's inside a historical building with high ceilings and a lot of light.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian and eggetarian options.

We enjoyed our dinner at Local Union 271. My black cod & vegetables were perfectly cooked, generous portions. My niece ordered the meatloaf which was delicious (the best I've tasted in any restaurants). We appreciated the outdoor seatings with heating in the middle of winter.

Although the menu for this restaurant was large and varied, my husband and I both found our orders to be pretty mediocre. Nothing was awful, but there was nothing we'd order again. The service also was pretty mediocre. I had to ask for splenda 3 times before I finally got some. We sat outside and that was the nicest part - very pleasant on a beautiful day.
