Mert was an excellent waiter! He made the experience lovely and had great recommendations for our group. The sea bass was excellent and they have a lovely selection of appetizers for a number of dietary restrictions.

Food and service (our waiter Yianni) was outstanding. Quite possibly the best experience of a restaurant in the Bay Area. Special thanks to Yianni, the chefs and the wider service team for an incredible night. Thank you.

I've been to this place three times, the first two times it was good, but last time chicken was really bad, so won't recommend now

I made a reservation for 4 people at Meyhouse for my husband's birthday dinner 8 weeks in advance. I got a call from the restaurant 6 days before the event to let me know that my reservation was canceled, with no explanation for the cancellation. The person who called me offered me a table for 4 at the Meyhouse restaurant in Sunnyvale (miles away). I declined. The next day I received another call to let me know that I could have a table for 4 for lunch on the same day I had made the reservation. We were not interested in lunch. I was then asked if I wanted to cancel my reservation. I politely pointed to the fact that my reservation had already been canceled by the restaurant. Very disappointing and difficult to get another reservation in a fine restaurant for our event on such a short notice.

Best ever! The food here is really remarkable, just an outstanding culinary experience. It is enriched by brilliant cocktails, and honestly, the best service in town. Everyone from the host/hostess to the servers and bussers are friendly, cheerful, attentive. It is becoming our absolute favorite restaurant in Palo Alto. DO NOT MISS the Sea Bass - it is out of this world, creamy, light, with a glaze you will never get anywhere else, on a bed of lemon mashed potatoes. Heaven on a plate. Other favorites: the lambs liver appetizer (and this rave is from a person who has never liked liver), the octopus appetizer on pureed favas, and the lamb chops . For dessert the mestika gelato is also unlike anything you will have had elsewhere - divine. And do try their Negroni, or an Aegean Fashioned - both outstanding takes on classic cocktails.

Let me start by saying the service here was AMAZING. I loved the attentiveness, the plate and utensil swaps, and the table wipe-downs. I would compare it to that of Michelin quality. Food was good but not at the level of great. We had the lamb and the Chilean sea-bass, as well as the dumplings. Also had a mocktale and a dessert which was lovely. For two people and over $200 for lunch I'm not sure it was worth that. Still overall I would definitely come back.

Excellent food - especially the starters good value for money. Mains are good if it's a large group you can share. 2-4 people don't need to order more than 1 main + some starters. Desert was a bit boring. Excellent friendly service especially Ayesha who is brilliant lady.

We have been to the Sunnyvale location, and this was our first visit to the Palo Alto site. The food is very good, the service is great. We brought two friends with us, and we treated them. The only criticism is that everything is very expensive. We consider it to be quite overpriced. For example, the prices of the drink are outrageous.

Overall, Meyhouse is a beautiful space, with a large menu of creative and well-executed Turkish food, and for the most part very efficient and attentive service. It's also very popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations -- we came here with one for 8 PM on Sunday, and the restaurant was completely full. My group of 4 shared a bunch of apps, which came alongside a delicious basket of complementary bread that was a highlight of the meal and enhanced nearly every dish - PATIRMALI HUMUS ($18; warm hummus topped with house cured beef pastirma): Possibly both the simplest and my favorite of the appetizers -- I don't commonly see warm hummus like this, but I love it every time and it went great with the house bread - TURKMEN MANTISI ($18; steamed Turkmen dumplings over garlic yogurt drizzled with paprika-butter): The dumplings were solid, but we especially enjoyed the garlic yogurt and dipping the bread into it - KOPOGLU ($17; oven roasted eggplant and peppers with tomato sauce, yogurt): This was a cold appetizer, and judging by the tables around us, one of the most popular dishes here. The eggplant was tender and tasty, and went well with the tomato sauce and yogurt (which again was a highlight). I only wish there'd been more eggplant, especially relative to the peppers - UC BOREK ($12; trio filling of rolled borek, zucchini, cheese, pastirma): Nothing special, but hard to go wrong with cheese in fried dough - KARIDESLI ENGINAR ($19; artichoke bottoms braised in olive oil, poached shrimp, herb dressing): Tasted fresh, but not memorable and probably wouldn't get this again given the price point and size - YAPRAK CIGER ($19; butter poached thinly sliced lamb liver, red onion): Good if you like this kind of dish For our mains, we got: - LAMB CHOPS ($54; bone-in 3 pieces, mint-pistachio spread Dill-potato wedges): I thought these were just okay, especially for the price -- drier and less flavorful than others I've had, most obviously at Evvia nearby - ALINAZIK ($42; marinated tenderloin skewer, smoked eggplant-labne, paprika-butter): Also solid but not particularly special. The eggplant labne had a pretty strong flavor - CHILEAN SEABASS ($48; slow roasted with fig ginger "Byzantian murri glaze", Aegean greens, lemon mash potato): This was probably my favorite dish of the night! The fish was perfectly flaky and melt-in-your-mouth fatty, while the mashed potatoes were so flavorful and creamy Overall other than the sea bass, we felt that the appetizers were more interesting and probably better value, such that in the future we'd likely sample multiple of these in the place of a main. In general, while many of the prices did feel high for the portion size, they were not excessively so for Palo Alto and everything tasted high quality and served as a great introduction to Turkish food

Had a great experience at Palo Alto Meyhouse. The service, food, and ambiance were all so good. We over-ordered for two people and had 5 dishes in total - hummus, dumplings, and tartare from appetizers, and seabeam and tenderloin from entrees. Despite being so full, all were really great. Loved the warm hummus and dumplings. Tartare here was unlike any tartare I had before. The meat was finely diced and highly seasoned. You're supposed to eat it wrapped with the lettuce accompanying it. Still good, just was a slight surprise. Fish and tenderloin were very soft and perfectly cooked. The waiter was very attentive and professional/informative in introducing the menu to us. I would love to come back to try their other dishes!

Vegetarian food is uninspired and more importantly lacks sufficient flavor.

This is the best restaurant I have been to in a while. The service was phenomenal. We received a recommendation to come here and we were not disappointed. Every dish was filled with so much flavor. This is a location where you read the menu and everything sounds good! We could not decide what we wanted so we went with the chef's tasting menu. This let us try a little bit of everything. There was not a dish we did not like! The delivery and execution was amazing! Delicious food and a nice atmosphere makes for a great date night spot! Will be back very soon and recommending to all.

Wow, I can’t wait to go back to Meyhouse! Fresh-baked toasted sesame seed bread starts things out well- hummous with the fab touch of beurre noisette), Gavurdağı (chopped salad) Köpoğlu (roasted nightshades w/yogurt) and Karidesli Enginar (artichoke w/dill & shrimp) were all incredible. Next time will leave room for warm plates!Dietary restrictions: GF / VG dishes noted on menu
