Very good food but the music is a little too loud and the Japanese rock was so annoying for having lunch

Overall an enjoyable Ramen experience. The ramen joint is no-frills with a few types of ramen offerings and add-ons such as Chicken Karage and Gyoza. Their red king ramen has a great balance of spice, garlic, and umami flavours in the broth - of course, you can adjust many aspects of your dish based on your liking. The only con is that they always have long lines, and there is no waiting system so you have to stand in front of the shop, rain or shine. However, lines do move fast enough that it feels worth the wait.

They only have one vegetarian option! Such a bummer! Really want them to have more veggie options with different broths!

I enjoyed all 3 types of ramen I tasted at Ramen Nagi: original, red and black. David is a gracious host who is extremely professional and presents Ramen Nagi superbly. I came here on Thursday, and loved it so much that I came back Saturday night. Highly recommend. David makes you feel so welcomed and taken care of. Thank you David!!

Ramen Nagi had the best vegetarian ramen I’ve ever had. Wait is long, but the line moves quick. Recommend getting there before 6:00pm on a weekday if you can, to ensure you’re not waiting too long.

Up on par with my best ramen experiences in Tokyo. The lone can be seem long, but it goes quickly. They are fast to seat you and serve you. I keep going back to the Red King, but that's a personal preference. Oh, yes, you can customize your order quite a bit, but if ramen is not your thing, there is no point in going here... aside from some yummy sides, ramen is all they offer. Which is just fine by me. Update: still the place to go for ramen in Palo Alto, hands down.
The ramen soup at this restaurant is quite rich. The taste is also quite delicious,I prefer the texture of the noodles. The bite is quite chewy. However, I don’t think the main meat itself has any special characteristics. The portion is a little too small.Generally speaking,A grown man wouldn’t be full if he ordered just one ramen!

Trendy Ramen spot, worth the wait. Love the red spicy ramen, will get more add ons next time, extra noodles, another egg, etc. So good! Will return for sure!

I enjoy getting the "Black King" from here! Though it looks like it's packed with all kinds of flavors... it's quite light and not too salty! Nice and garlicky as well. I highly recommend the Kakuni (pork belly) and thin noodles. Compared to the "Original King", it still has some good umami in there - but with a little bit of brine! Very subtle, and the pork broth is still the main element you're tasting. This location feels more spacious than the Valley Fair one! Tons of staff running around - who are very attentive btw! Need something? They'll get it to you ASAP. Wait time on a Saturday night was 45 minutes. Not bad!

We had heard a lot of good reviews of the place and decided to try it out. We had very high expectations similar to a few others like Ramen Danbo for vegetarian options too. While the ramen wasn't bad, it was not great either. The main thing I didn't like was the fried potato which made the ramen very starchy. I'm someone who doesn't believe in not finishing any food but this is something I couldn't complete due to the way the potato affected me in the end. Certainly wouldn't recommend it for the vegetarian option.Vegetarian options: There is mostly one vegetarian option and I wouldn't really recommend that based on how starchy it is.
