Double (decaf) cappuccino was exceptional (as judged by this self-confessed coffee snob). Sitting outside on a "dry" day was a luxury in this winter of atmospheric rivers. The place is always busy, and little wonder: the espresso drink was very, very good, the atmosphere wonderful, the place super clean, and the staff personable. Overall, a worthy coffee place.Parking: This is downtown Palo Alto, people. Parking is always difficult, and subject to close timing surveillance.Kid-friendliness: A very civilized, adult atmosphere would be spoiled by kids, much I love them....

Great classic, coffee shop. Flat white was delicious. Choc chip walnut cookie was delicious. Atmosphere is bright and airy but not a lot of ‘cozy’ seating per se.Service was quick. Prices a bit high.Note that the kitchen does not open til 730am so if you plan to get any food don’t go between 7-730am.

I stopped by to get coffee and pastry today but found the glass display case where they keep the pastries full of flies (so many of them). I did notify the lady working and she saw them, said oh no sorry, but I didn’t see her take any action like discarding the pastries. I was there for a while but they didn’t do anything and never discarded the items.

Good coffee and very good service from friendly staff. The guy that served me apologised for me having to wait 1 minute (which was really no problem), then he gave me my coffee for free :). What a great place!

Verve is known for their Santa Cruz and Aptos locations, and my experience at the Palo Alto one was quite unique and unlike any other. The wait was quite long post rush-hour, as I went in at 12:45pm… honestly, to say the line was short, I would be impressed. I normally read the reviews and they said that the line was out the door, so I found this quite surprising.I ordered a café au lait and a goat cheese toast and the coffee was spot on. The way they grounded the coffee beans were done quite well, in my opinion. The goat cheese toast was toasted well but contained a little too much stuff.Amazing service by the baristas and the people taking the orders - the ordering was swift and quick, and despite them being busy, they took the extra step to making sure that my stuff, including all other people’s orders. The atmosphere was really bright and open, but what makes me dock one star is the fact that some people stand in the middle of the lobby without being aware that there are other people getting in and out. This isn’t the coffee shop’s fault, but my recommendation is that there should be some regulation around that.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian/vegan options clearly marked on the menu! Milk options they have pretty much all you could ask for… they even had pistachio milk.Parking: Hard to find parking on University Ave. — if you want to find free parking on the structure you have to park a lot farther from Verve, so I would be aware of that first. It’s better to get there in the morning instead of in the afternoon.

Verve in Palo Alto offers a verdant retreat for coffee aficionados. Its lush interior and expansive deck create an inviting ambiance. The espresso, extracted to perfection, showcases a masterful balance of flavor and complexity, delighting discerning palates. A must-visit for a superb caffeine fix near Stanford.

The baristas have been pretty lackluster recently. Not sure if they aren’t receiving the same training or just changing their latte art style, but it’s disappointing for a $7.50 latte

Chaotic experience. Ordered Avocado toast and waited for 15 minutes and didn’t receive it. Asked the waitress and one person thought there is no avocado toast left and refunded me. Another waitress said that they had avocado toast but they didn’t make it due to system issues. They gave me conflicting information and views onto the situation. A simple avocado toast took so much time and efforts to make it. The miscommunication and misunderstanding make me less trust this coffee shop. It reflected the lack of respect and lack of management abilities. I would never go to this place again!

Lots of people on a Saturday morning around 1030am. Great coffee and manresa pastry. Nice atmosphere inside. Expect to wait 10 minutes for your coffee because of the crowds.
