Took my father to dinner with jazz and we both liked it.Our waiter was so nice. It felt like he was waiting on All the tables. Maybe they will get more staff in the future as it seemed like a newly established. It’s on the corner, where Ixtapa Cantina used to be and there is paid parking right behind it. We both had salmon, mine with white wine and dad with beer. Food and drinks ??. The jazz band did a lot of Amy Whinehouse covers. So if you enjoy that, hop on over. Looking around, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. People passing by would dance their way through. We had a deal from Goldstar but if you don’t, go anyway. Given current prices, I’d say you’re getting a good deal from the regular menu. Good food and live music. ?? have fun and bring cash to tip the band. They deserve it.

Had reservations for Friday at 6:30 PM for 8 people. It was our first visit to Hawg Heaven BBQ. We were seated promptly. The service was efficient. Everyone commented on how tasty the dish they ordered: Pulled pork tacos, beef brisket sandwich, beef brisket plate, the combination plate (ribs, brisket). The evening was fun listening to crooner Douglas R. and eating BBQ.

First time there and had a lot great reviews, so we was looking forward to going. Went as a date night for the jazz show this past Sunday. First, who plans a jazz night on the same night as the NFC championship? Don't get me wrong, I was bummed I was going to miss the game, and then there it was on all the TVs. However, it completely took away from the jazz experience. Second, I ordered the Rosemary chicken, which was delicious, however, the brisket was dry, and we tried to ask for more barbecue sauce, but once we were served, we never saw our waiter again. Third, I didn't like that an 18% gratuity was automatically added to my bill, especially when the service was less than stellar. That's usually only done for big parties and the food was prepaid as part of the jazz ticket. Had a couple of drinks, which were just OK, but again had to really chase the waiter down to get them. Some other food that looked delicious, but based on the service not sure if we'll return.

The bathrooms are very neglected, some empty towel bins, the bathroom doors locked and ajar, cannot be closed. The walls deteriorated and some were engraved with inscriptions of names and worn. I waited for the food, I ordered pork with fries and Caesar's salad. I hope..... The food was worth it, generously served, the pork was well cooked, the sauce was very good, the potatoes seemed to lack some additional cream. Good attention, good service. It took them half an hour to deliver the bill.

Needed a place to eat for lunch with family as we were visiting the area. The food and service ended up being fantastic! This was a surprise since the restaurant was empty. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The chicken crispy chicken sandwich was great. Cornbread was a treat. Sides were good. The experience exceeded

I've tried so much amazing food in my life. I went out for dinner every day for six months. And never had food better than this. I had the brisket and honestly it was life-changing. I have no doughy in my mind when I say that this is the best food I've ever had.

We were visiting Pasadena from out of state. My husband was hungry for BBQ, and Hawg Heaven was nearby, so we stopped in for dinner. He ordered the brisket dinner with fries and macaroni/cheese. The sides were delicious. The brisket tasted good, but it was marbled with a more fat than he usually sees when ordering brisket at other BBQs. He's a lean brisket kind of guy. Although I am not vegetarian, I wanted something lighter than BBQ. I ordered the butternut squash and black bean tacos. It was a fabulous combination! The tacos were served with condiments of pico de gallo, guacamole and pickled onions. Four days later, I am still thinking about those tacos, wishing I lived closer so I could return more often to repeat the meal. It was excellent!

Went to Hawg Heaven/Ixtapa for the second time in around a month. This place has a very interesting mix of BBQ and Mexican food. The BBQ was so good the first time we came back last night. I had the Mac and brisket burrito, my wife had pulled pork nachos and we split a Santa Fe chicken salad. All were really delicious and we brought about half of the food home...tonight's meal, actually. Good draft beer selection, friendly service, reasonable prices. They have live music, tho not last night. All in all, a very enjoyable meal with friends, really good food, nice place. 5 stars!
