This place has weird vibes. It's been in business for over a decade, but somehow looks like they just opened. The drink and condiments station looks like your uncle's pop up backyard BBQ. The service is okay. They get you what you order and that's kind of it. I had the sriracha breakfast burrito and tbh it tastes something s 14 year old could make at home, and the salsa tastes like bottled Pace salsa. Everything is *fine* but honestly not worth it when there is a plethora of delicious and unique cafes and restaurants in Pasadena and the LA area. (Also the pastry case was pretty much empty when I got there).

Food is nothing special. The salsa that came with the breakfast burrito tasted like bottled Pace salsa. The music choice here is just weird. The decor and vibe of the place feels confused and gives airport cafe vibes. Will not be returning. Much better food elsewhere.

We were in LA for a few days to visit my daughter and stayed in Pasadena. We found Lovebirds as we drove early one morning looking for breakfast and coffee and ended up eating there twice. The food and service were excellent and we were pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable prices. I had the Chef’s Fried Egg Sandwich, which was fresh, filling and so, so good. Paired with a large cup of good house coffee, it set me up for the day. The second time, I had the eggs Benedict, where were also very, very good. There were a number of people dining inside during our visits and Lovebirds also seemed to be doing a brisk takeout trade.

This place is NOT kid friendly...and the workers are not interested in catering to their customers. I don't believe they are well managed. The high chairs were caked with food and there is no kid menu. The table was dirty when we arrived and no one offered to clean it. The restrooms were "out of order"; both of them. The music choice was very poor, with music playing that had explicit lyrics and curse words regularly. I asked for them to change the music and this didn't happen. We had three chicken basil sandwiches, tomato soup, fries, and French toast. The French toast was crunchy, dry, and barely covered in any egg batter. The soup was warm. The sandwiches and fries were well made, though I could have used more flavor in the pesto. In summary, I will not be back and I do not recommend this place.Kid-friendliness: NOT kid friendly in any respect.

Place has gone downhill. I used to frequent this place a lot back in high school - haven’t been back since. Was craving a sandwich & we were near by, so we decided to stop in. Was not nearly as good as I remembered it. It could be that my standards have raised since I was in high school - but it truly wasn’t good. Will not be going back.

Love the staff here. I mean it's the morning every time I go here for a coffee and sandwich or pastry and these girls are all smiles. The turkey sandwich with pesto is the best. The bread here is amazing and they do all their own baking right here. I mean it's not just a great cup of coffee but they have specialty items I take home to bring to friends house as a dessert.

I was really looking forward to this place bc of their cute business name. But I'm disappointed by the way they heat up their pastries. They microwaved my chocolate pastry. I'm wondering if they knew as bakery and cafe workers that when you microwave pastries and breads it changes the nature of the food item. I personally did not like their coffee.

Love birds cafe enjoys advertising their positive yelp reviews. I only have one question for you guys. Would you go to love birds after the following experience? Butter croissant---- $3 Butter croissant plus peanut butter jelly--$9 (really) When u notify the worker that doesn't make sense in any one's common sense world, they answer back "do you want it or not?" Just because you are a regular customer over 4 years and came in even during the pandemic to support the restaurant, they should not talk to u with an attitude. A whole damn in n out combo meal is less than the croissant. Benny is a good guy amazing worker but some of the workers in the restaurant don't provide a good vibe. I know I wouldn't be coming in anymore.

The three cheese panini was subpar and didn't even look like it was in the panini press more than 30 seconds. Zero marks on the toast. The salads I ordered were also standard. And my friend said her sandwich was okay. I paid about 45 for everything. I've seen the reviews so maybe what I ordered was the issue but overall I was left feeling like I overpaid for what I got. Everyone was nice and the food came out promptly.

I've been on a sandwich kick lately so I thought I'd finally check out Lovebirds, which seems to be a local insistution at this point. I regret that decision, and I'm still disappointed by how I wasted my first free lunch break in some weeks on such a mediocre meal. I had ordered a chicken pesto panini and the sandwich was unremarkable at best. The grilled chicken tasted like those frozen chicken patties from Costco or the grocery store, and was on the dry side. And to add insult to injury, the lackluster sandwich was overpriced at $13. To summarize, there are better options in the area, so I have no interest in returning to Lovebirds for another overpriced mediocre sandwich.

I've only ordered delivery from here, but all of the food I've tried is sooo good. Plus the prices are great!

By far one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The chicken bacon avocado club with fries is my go to every time I come to eat. Breakfast burritos are really good as well. I come at least once a week, and everyone is nice and welcoming. From what I've noticed, there have been plenty of times where customers come in, thinking they feel entitled and are so rude to the employees. These employees don't deserve the rudeness that these certain individuals are giving them, they definitely deserve better.

Ordered Nutella French toast. Received burnt toast instead - did they really think this was ok to serve ?!?!

On lunch break from a training class for work. Was recommended this place because I wanted something lighter. The salad was delish, croutons are made fresh in house. The Cesar dressing is so dang good. 1 was not enough for the whole salad, I asked for a second dressing which the guy working brought out promptly. We sat outside on the patio in smiths shade. Perfect weather, great food, friendly service. Can't ask for much more.
