Bit pricey for dim sum. The food use to be better quality and worth the extra price before Summer 2019. The food standards have dropped to being on par with what you can get from other dim sum restaurants. Save your $ and go to the other dim sum places which offer similar quality for cheaper.

Food was good. However, the service was horrible. The reception staff had really bad attitude when we just asked for hot water. She said that is not her job. Maybe her job is just standing there and watching the customer.

First time dining in at Lunasia Pasadena and it won't be our last! We attended an event at the Pasadena convention center on 3/9/24. We walked around to find a good place for dinner and Yelp guided us to. Lunasia. We checked in and got on the waitlist. A few minutes later, we were greeted and got seated. It was nice to not have to wait for a while as the restaurant seemed busy. We placed our order online and not long after, our food started to arrive. Everything was delicious! We ordered a lot! Shumai, hargow, seafood pan fried noodles, salt and pepper suid, salt and pepper pork chops, orange chicken, shrimp eggrolls, pork soup dumplings, deep fried chicken wings, pork puff and sesame red bean balls. Everything was tasty and delicious! How you expect some food to be crunchy, they were crunchy! Those that are supposed to be moist and juicy, they were! The flavors of each item were on point! Can't stop talking about how good the food was. Prices are comparable to others. Servings were good portions. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff worked as a team and they took care of everyone that needed anything. The ambiance was also great. Modern and clean. They also have an upstairs so they can accommodate large groups. They are located in Pasadena on Colorado blvd. We parked at PCC for $15 and it was worth it. It was close to a mall and other restaurants. If you haven't tried Lunasia and you love shumai, you have to try this place bc you will love everything about it!

Another Michelin Recommendation ‼️ while we were in LA we were tasked with finding a restaurant that would be available on Christmas Day. Lunasia was the answer. We were pretty certain that we would have to try to get there at least 5 to 10 minutes prior to opening, to ensure that we wouldn’t have to wait as long, however, as we pulled up, the line was already pretty significant. We made our peace, put our names down on the Yelp Waitlist iPad they had, and waited patiently as opening time neared. Within 10-15 minutes we were sat.Everything was seamless. Ordering was done through our phones, you get to see pictures and costs, along with submitting your order. Amazing for us introverts. The only human contact is when delivering your dishes / refilling tea.The dim sum was incredibly delicious and fresh. Ordering the duck was the move to ensure the protein goalz were met.

This is my first time at a dim sum restaurant, and I was impressed. The speed at which they bring you your food is unbelievable; you'd think they had it waiting on a shelf before you walked in!Even though some of the food was a little too edgy for my simple Caucasian tastes (jellyfish, chicken feet), I would absolutely return. The variety and prices made it a great place to go with friends and do a "family style" sharing of small plates.

A great entry to Dim Sum. Lunasia has an easy menu with the staples and favorites with pictures to help visualize the offerings. The orders are done through their dumpy proof order page. No carts, but speedy service. Prices are incredible reasonable making it easy to order a variety of foods and not breaking the bank.

We were disappointed with our experience at Lunasia - upon checking in, our estimated wait was 40 min to 1 hour, but we ended up not being seated for almost 2 hours. By the time we were seated, it was past 2pm and the majority of the dim sum items (especially the classic items like steamed shrimp rolls, congees, etc) were already sold out. The food we did get was fine, nothing special - the beef chow mein was extremely salty. Overall, a mediocre meal that certainly was not worth almost a 2 hour wait.
