Snobby crowd, but sweetest server. Hangar steak prepared perfectly medium rare with the best truffle sauce for crispy pomme frites. Cool ambience. But bummer they had private party encroached on the rest of the restaurant seating. Might come back.

Seating is just too crowded and the tables too small. our appetizers and entrees came out together (which shouldn't happen) and there literally wasn't enough room on the table for everything. My companion was essentially sitting in the aisle as the dining room is just too small. Staff was great food excellent but I won't be returning.

Food was average and service was a total failure. Read the reviews hoping to find a new brunch spot and it was a huge disappointment. I had to call on 3 different servers to just get water . Definitely will not go back . Safe your money people .

Love this place. Warm, friendly atmosphere with friendly staff. I’m a member of SoHo house and this place is pleasantly familiar, just on the east side of town. Brunch is a must. Make sure you try the house sangria and their spicy Bloody Mary. You can grab a regular dining table or choose to lounge by the fireplace on a sofa or an armchair enjoying whatever beverage you like while conversing with your friends or date. Enjoy.

Magnolia is a beautiful, unique gem in Pasadena. It is open to the air, has very accommodating and attentive servers, and is a great setting for a communal meal experience with friends or business colleagues.

The food was amazing. Chef's Kisses. SO much flavor in everything. The Moroccan Chicken Wings were my favorite dish, the sauce on top was something I have never tried before. I never knew what I was missing in my life. The ambiance was dark, definitely saw that it got more crowded throughout the night. It was a little galentines dinner before my friends and I headed out to our nightly festivities. Service was also amazing as well, the waitress noticed whenever my cup was empty and made sure to top it off. (I felt so bad; I drink water like a monster!)

Magnolia House is a cozy trendy spot for you to meet friends, have brunch, or go to happy hour. I went to happy hour with a friend of mine. We ordered three different hors d'oeuvres and shared it like a meal. It was great. Prices are good. The brussels sprouts, shrimp salad, and zucchini fritters are amazing. They also have on the happy hour menu,a drink of the moment. The night I went it was a spicy margarita, and it was great. They have their own infused tequila. They also have half hour wine on certain nights. It seems the high top tables to be reserved for dinner. You can sit in the main room, but you need to be prepared that the space is small and the tables are small as well. The service is friendly and attentive. There is no designated parking. It is street metered parking or paid parking lot on the side or across the street. Great unique touches, like sayings on the napkin, give Magnolia House a cool trendy vibe. Dress accordingly.

This review is based off an experience on a weekend night for dinner. First impression, Hostess not very friendly, comes off with an attitude and does not want to help you. You are inconveniencing her. Possibly, because she has to work on a Friday night? Not sure. That was a little discouraging. Moving on.. Drinks and bar/bartenders, super chill, friendly, and interested in how the customer feels and if we truly enjoyed our drinks. Drinks that were made 9/10! The Margareta that is Pink is really good. Would recommend ordering! Food, fritters and meatballs were OK. Also, the anti-pasta type salad was ordered I would give it a 5/10. The temperature could have been hotter for the fritters/meatballs. I actually got sick the next day and following day after eating here. I truly believe the meatballs were undercooked. Waitress serving us really doesn't belong being a server, or should get some help in customer service/hospitality, she took forever and never came to check in on us. The only reason I gave a 3/5 stars is the ambiance, and the mood and vibe this place has. It's a good spot for a few drinks. As for food I would go somewhere else. I would still return again for drinks only.

Unimaginative food poorly executed. How hard is it to cook an omelette soft and to skip the potatoes and toast and sub a veg or extra fruit? Coffee refills were nonexistent and the wait staff was inattentive. Sunday brunch was busy, but we had made reservations and were placed in direct sun and had to ask twice for an umbrella for shade. The cacophony outside was at a high pitch and the tables were so close together we had to escape sideways, despite being a small woman. This was my first and last visit, which is unfortunate as it's in my neighborhood and I can walk to it and would love to support a local establishment that is not a chain.
