Amazing food, great service, made relatively fast and great prices! I love the idea of a short order dumpling restaurant and wish there were more of these around

Northern Cafe used to be a delicious traditional chinese restaurant. Then it converted into a dumplings place around August 2023.. and it became a fast food place. Jack in the Box. We got some beef noodle soup and veggies. It's was just some steamed veggies in a sad plastic bowl and some uninspired beef and ramen noodles in a sad plastic bowl.

We’ve eaten like here as a family a few times over the last year, and loved it, *before* they changed it to “Dumplings to Go”. Before, they had a huge menu, and we loved trying lots of different things and sharing them family style. Now the menu is very limited, and frankly just okay. I am sure the change is so they could attract PCC students with a low budget and with only a little time. But it isn’t what we are looking for. I’m not giving up it — I think the parent restaurant is in the San Gabriel Valley? But I am giving up on this locale.

Good dumplings and potstickers! DoorDash messed up my order and delivered the wrong thing and I couldn’t go to pick it up so staff delivered it themselves. Very kind people :)

One star was for the service Another star was for the quality of meat and noodlesBUT The ratio of the soy sauce for the soup was BADDDDD. It was the worst soup noodles I have ever had. I felt like I was having a big bowl of soy sauce lol overall, both noodles were too salty ... We ended up needing to make it to go and "re-cook" at home

Came in and realized they changed the entire menu, which I like the new combo options. I feel like it has lost some of its appeal and they lost a lot of my favorite options. I kept an open mind and tried it but I'm a little disappointed. We dined in and got served in paper to go boxes, the dumplings aren't as flavorful and I miss the hot pots and cucumber salad. It feels like the quality has gone down a little and I'm sad. It's good for a fast food restaurant and the prices are reasonable, but it is not as special or yummy if as it once was.

The menu has changed and offers less items for more money. I would definitely check out other places before coming here.

Place has declined in quality over the past year. The rebranding now to a dumpling house (that doesn’t even have basic pork dumplings anymore) doesn’t add any encouragement.

1st time here today and I was impress. We arrived around 530pm so no wait times. We ordered the F1 which was amazing. The broth was very delicious, and although it said spicy. It was not. We also ordered the F2 non spicy and some dumplings on the side. The prices were good. Can't wait to comeback!!!!
