Have you ever wanted to go the ghetto for fried chicken and not want to drive to the ghetto? Well, here you to, pretentious LA peeps. This cultural landmark is like anything you hear about in rap songs: stupid. I like rap and I've been to plenty of ghettos. I can live without this dump. The food or atmosphere or service? Who cares, its NOT what you come here for.The security guard at the front tells you all you need. Still walking in? If you've ever wanted to know what "customer service" is like south of the 10 and east of the 405, there ya go. Food, well, what you should expect after having went through all of the above so far.I've been here 2x because someone who was "good while it lasted" loved...well... this place. Well, the Sour Girl (Stone Temple Pilots) is gone and so is any chance of me wasting time at this place. I was done after the 2nd visit (I gave it a second chance :-/ ). Like King Taco, that hot dog place on Hollywood that sells Kirkland hotdogs, and many other pretentious places, this place highlights only the worst of LA stereotypes. Bon apetit!

My first visit to this location. They ran out of menus, cups, and didn't have any desserts. I decided to try the chicken chili cheese fries. On the menu he had the option to add cut pieces of chicken on top for an additional fee. I opt out of the chicken on top just wanted chili and cheese. When my food arrived they put the chicken on top instead of sending it back I just tried it. The fries where okay I removed the chicken off the top because it just didn't taste right to me. I would have to try them again with extra cheese because they where sort of skimpy with the cheese. Their sunset drink is good though. No refills on specialty drinks so be prepared to pay.

Have been meaning to come here forever, and finally got around to it - was definitely worth it! Walked in on a Saturday evening around 7 with a group of four and was able to get seated immediately. The service was extremely friendly and engaging. I love dark meat, so the Economy Special (3 legs and 2 thighs) was the way to go - the chicken had a great crunch and flavor while staying moist. I ordered a side waffle as well which was also excellent, both by itself with the whipped butter and syrup as well as with bites of fried chicken. I enjoyed the Roscoe's Original Pepper Sauce on the chicken, it had a nice viscosity, good flavor and kick. Will definitely have to come back next time I’m in the area!

Aside from the parking lot that reeks pee; This restaurant was very clean inside. The server was very nice & attentive. I got the #9 Country Boy; 3 wings and 2 waffles. It was really good! The bathroom was superbly clean. ♡♡♡♡♡ will recommend.

I ordered a soft drink, iced tea with lemonade. The price was around $6 which is pretty steep! During my meal the server came to ask if anything was needed. I asked for a refill of water and my soft drink. Now, as old as I am, I have not had to pay for a refill since restaurants began to give unlimited refills back in the 80's. Iced tea has always been refillable. Our server told me that my water was refillable but not my iced tea. What?!! For the ridiculous price I was charged and no refills, no way. It's a shame because the food is great, but we won't be back.

When you get those munchies for some chicken and waffles there’s only once place to go and that’s Roscoe’s.Been coming here since my high school days and this was always the Sunday brunch spot to gather with friends and catch up.I’ve always get the same thing sometimes extra sides but come hungry to eat till your get the itis aka food coma.Always a family friendly spot.Actually went here during Xmas eve and honestly it was the perfect place for that late brunch to fill in your cravings. My goto is the scones 2 with dark meat chicken all smothered in gravy, 2 waffles and eclipse juice which has lemonade, orange juice, and fruit punch.I’m weird that I have to take out all the meat off the bones, set my waffles up with all the fixings, and then devour everything in one sitting. It seems like I’m taking a while at the beginning but I usually am the 1st one done eating cuz I just love having that sweet and savory set up.I haven’t had this meal in years and I’m soooooo glad I went, totally brought back great memories and a fully belly. It can get crowded and crazy busy so just be mindful of the time you go thinking about Sunday fundays and when church lets out would be the busiest day times.Don’t forget that dinner rush.Everyone who works there is usually super chill, they know you’re hungry, wanna have a good time and catch up with family so be patient if and when there’s a rush.Order at the table and pay at the front as you exitGotta try it at least once in your life.I’ve been to all their locations in the LA county and they pretty much have the same vibe. This one just has a bigger dining area and the parking is easier to get to.Vegetarian options: Waffles, grits, mac & cheese, beans, greens, mashed potatoesParking: They have a lot of it gets full just park in the neighborhoodKid-friendliness: Always a family friendly place

I walked into the restaurant and was approached by a waiter, immediately a rude man aggressively said "excuse me, can I help you! are you dinning in or ordering to go?!" I informed him that I'm ordering to go, he then says aggressively "you do that over here" I mentioned that I needed a menu he then says "they're over there" (which was located behind the hostess stand). I then take a seat since the place was empty and started looking at the menu I mention not seeing an item that I was interested in and the same waitress that initially greeted me replies rudely that it was on the back of the menu and repeatably mention how they had the item then walked away.I gave two stars just because the waitress greeted me before the manager rudely spoke to me and forced me to retrieve my own menu. I politely left and ordered from the Fishery right up the street.

I must say I’m a little disappointed from my first time being here. The chicken size look like it was for kids, the waffles weren’t anything spectacular. For $50 for two, there are so much optionswhich are way better.I really believe the name is what is special about this place

It's like if the DMV opened a restaurant. Absolutely ghetto.Expensive ($32 for a Scoe's #1 after fees/tip/taxes),Staff is cringe. They all try to act like the toughest thug on a prison yard and think providing service is a sign of weakness.Tiny portions. Honestly thought they just deep fried a mouse and gave it to me.Overall, Roscoe's can go bankrupt a second time for all I care. Peace.
