This food place is awesome! I have visited the Caltech area for one week and fell in love with this place! Seriously, the food is always fresh and the salads are amazing! The service is pretty fast and the people were very friendly and helpful. You get a good variety of choice! I will definitely come back here. I've been coming to this location for nearly 10 years. What happened? My last pick-up order was a disaster. They packed to the cold sushi items with a hot miso soup that we didn't order. The sushi was tepid and slimy when we got home (less than a mile). And the portions were way smaller than in the past. I'm happy to pay more - just don't skimp and make me feel cheated. Jeeze.

Great food and atmosphere. But, staff is no longer paying attention to order details. Today was the second time in two last visits where the order was incomplete. This was a take-out order. Since I was in a hurry I did not check the order before leaving the store:1) No salad was enclosed with the tempura order.2) we ordered teriyaki sauce with both meals. Only one teryaki was enclosed.Management should train their employees on paying attention to order fulfillment.
We walked in then waited to order at the counter ...... no one acknowledged us .. we got someone behind the counter's attention but they never came out to take our order. Restaurant was dark and dirty.. floors were extremely dirty!We left ....

Food is just ok. My tempura was heavy and greasy. Mostly the place is just very VERY visibly dirty and run down. Plus flies inside it made for an off putting experience.
