Always order steamed dumplings to start, then bbq chicken with spicy dip. Sweet & sour. Brown rice. All yummy.

Nestled in a Pasadena strip mall, you'll discover the charming Suriya Thai.Acting on my sister's recommendation, we decided to have lunch here. It's become her regular haunt, and she unfailingly orders their pumpkin curry . The fact that it was a lunch special only sweetened the deal. I opted for the pad kee mao, although regrettably, it's not featured in the lunch specials. Nonetheless, it remains my favorite and was delicious. The interior is simple and cozy. I must extend commendation to our server, see photo. I didn't manage to catch her name, but she was so nice assisting us on both occasions. She not only recognized my sister but also remembered her order and preferred drink. I was impressed when she refilled my sister's iced tea no less than five times. Not once did she raise an eyebrow - a testament to truly exceptional service. If you're a fan of Thai food like me, I'd definitely recommend giving Suriya Thai a try."

Love the food here and the service. They messed up my order but not only did the lady fix it but she gave me a free drink. Very sweet lady. It’s hard to find service like this anywhere you go these days. Food was on point and delicious!

Bland curry, small portions, over priced. It tastes like whoever cooked it doesn’t care.

I am not a Thai food fan, but the food here was pretty tasty. I ordered the bbq chicken on the lunch special, which included sides of rice for a up charge of $1.50 for brown rice, salad, and vegetable soup. Everything was freshly made, but the chicken was a little tuff but still flavorful. The service was not that attentive. Took our waitress a while to take our order and she messed up on two of our orders. However, she did fix the issue so that made it better. She was by herself so we let her slide. The inside is a decent size, not too much opulence but it's clean! It good for lunch and gets crowded fast since Huntington Hospital is across the street. They have different specials that are posted out front, and there Thai coffees and teas are popular. Overall, I will be back to try their appetizers and chicken soup. It's easy parking in the shopping center lot it's located in, and it's a cute lowkey spot with good specials. I would definitely recommend trying here!

I went here for lunch today because I wanted some good Thai food. I ordered the lunch special BBQ chicken and it was good. The chicken was tender and moist, and the sauce was tasty. The Thai iced tea was made with quality and very refreshing. Nice size portions for lunch and a big variety of food to choose from. The service was great. The place was clean and neat but the decor was outdated. Decent amount of seating inside and one small table outside. I will definitely go back.

This a family owed and run restaurant. It has been here for many years. It is small, but clean and the staff is attentive.I have dined in and ordered take-out. I have always found the food well prepared and of good quality.Being located in strip mall, it might be overlooked, but the food is freshly prepared. Parking is free, but at busy times, you may have to drive around the lot for a space.Vegetarian options: The menu has vegetarian friendly choices and you can ask the staff.Kid-friendliness: Casual dining with options that kids would like.Parking: Strip mall parking lot with a Vons and other stores and shops.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is located on one level.

One of my friends goes there occasionally, so it was her recommended place. The server seems to be the daughter of the owner's family. She was very cute and nice. Food:My personal favorite among all the food we ordered was the appetizer, Angel fried chicken . It was lightly breaded and fired with just the right amount of oil, perfectly cooked. The rest was good except the chaomen noodle substituted with flat noodles. We needed seasoned a lot on our end. It was kind of plain.... Service:Very niceAmbience:Cute and cozy.Parking:There was a mid-size parking space since it was in a not too busy strip mall. You probably will find a parking without problem.

Ordered Pad Thai to go. No utensils provided. I guess I should have asked. Common sense ?.
