I couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake! It was exactly like the reference photo and so delicious. I was having doubts about the other cake we had booked elsewhere so I canceled and two weeks before. I almost just gave up and ordered a cake from Costco and then I found Takes the Cake and thankfully they were still taking orders. They were kind, easy to order from and clearly did an amazing job bringing my vision to life! Everyone at my wedding loved the cake. It was perfect.

I ordered better after I was surprised with a cake from her last year for my birthday, which was excellent and beautiful. 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend!!! Heads up that this bakery takes yearly vacations, and closes their business entirely for that time period. The last two weeks of August. I am having an August wedding and was very disappointed to learn this business is much more "mom and pop" than perceived. No one has mentioned in the reviews that the business closes for sustained period of time. Very odd and unexpected for a business. Please take this warning as you consider working with this company!

Such a wonderful bakery. I found the owner/baker lovely to communicate with. And they made an adorable and delicious cake + smash cake set for my daughter's first birthday. The theme was "strawberries" so these were both white cakes filled with strawberries and Bavarian cream. I will happily buy future cakes from them and recommend to friends and neighbors.

They made the most amazing cake for my daughter's birthday. It looked so fantastic that she almost cried when she saw it. They were very easy to communicate with and answered all my questions. Everyone loved the taste as well.

We ordered our wedding cake from Takes the Cake and we could not have been more pleased. Our guests loved the cake as much as we did and the customer service was outstanding. We are preparing to celebrate our one year anniversary and will be ordered another small cake for the celebration. Why freeze the top layer when you can have a whole new fresh cake! Highly recommend.

Delicious cake and great service! Plus, it was the best pricing we found comparing 4 local bakeries. Shazi was quick to respond to emails and phone calls. She was super helpful and kind. Up until the day before the wedding we were in communication. They added a support since our cake topper was a little heavy and also added the flowers on site for us.Everyone enjoyed the cake! We had leftovers the next few days and all of our family enjoyed the different varieties. We especially liked their spice cake with bavarian cream, but we also got a layer with lemon, and a layer of chocolate and espresso. Yum!
