Historical Pasadena restaurant that some people forget about. I hadn’t been here for years until this evening. I’d give 5 stars, but my pork chop was dry and little overcooked. Everything else was wonderful, including the drinks. It’s very intimate inside, but as the restaurant fills up it gets quite loud. The patio is covered and heated, but you may find yourself having to talk over the nearby tables or road noise. Valet parking only, $8 at the time of this review. There is street parking available on Fair Oaks though.

We were celebrating my hubby’s birthday. We had been wanting to come for the longest time. They sat us near an open door. It was cold. My sea base was very small, very thin and was served with the skin side up. Very unappealing! It had good flavor, but the fish itself was as thick as the skin was very disappointing. My hubby had the short rib. Nothing about the food was exceptional to our disappointment. Tater tots were great, and so was the service. Except they were a little slow with cocktails.

The Raymond has become a regular spot for my husband and I to attend our anniversary. This would be our 3rd year dinning here for the occasion and each time we are never disappointed! The food and the drinks are always top tier.Aside from this, we have come here for brunch a few times with some friends and again, it's simply the best! Please give it a try if you're a local or just in the neighborhood.

My favorite spot for cocktails in Pasadena! The space is big, got both indoor and outdoor space and a couple fireplaces. Valet parking available for $8, also lots of street parking

I think that this restaurant is worth a visit at least once. It has an interesting history and the outdoor space is nice. I really dig the hanging lights and could see that it would be amazing for a party or large group. Overall the service is good and the food was decent, though nothing really stood out as unique or amazing, which I found a bit disappointing.

Our party of five adults enjoyed the delicious poke appetizer, bread and butters, main courses of pasta, soup, short rib, scallops, and sides of broccolini, Brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, delicious tempura mushroom and a decent bottle of Italian red wine. Many items were gluten free for our celiac guest. Wonderful evening out on the patio with the heaters going and blankets to keep us warm and comfortable. Thanks to the friendly and helpful staff too! Perfect evening!

I asked a Pasadena resident where I could find a nice restaurant for my best friend and I to sit down and have meal together and catch up. He recommended The Raymond, and it did not disappoint. The service was good but not intrusive, the food was excellent, and the ambience was perfect for an evening of conversation. Highly recommended.

Parking is valet only , $8. Reservations are best . Cute place to eat indoors or out, very friendly and attentive servers. Lots of history to learn about this place. Lovely menu, something for everyone. The Gem salad coupled with a sliced loaf of bread/ butter went well with my pasta bolognese. For dessert the pot de creme was small but perfect for sharing with my friend. Highly recommend and plan to return !!!

Such a cozy homey feel. I loved the outdoor patio, surrounded by lush greenery and with a beautiful, rustic fireplace made of river rocks. We could hear the street noise a bit but it didn't bother me and they done a great job making the restaurant feel secluded. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient, and the food/drinks were very good. On the pricier side but as is everything these days and it's worth it for the very unique ambiance.

They currently do not have the Steak Frites, or at least didn't when we dined there last week. A disappointing reality when it's so heavily featured on Open Table reviews, 5 of us had it as our choice before we got there. I had the ribeye, which was tasty- the Mary's Chicken was the choice of 3 of our 6 and was very well received. Cocktails were balanced and on point, even with some off menu classics. Kudos. Caymus Red Blend was “worth” the price @ $77, we split it 6 ways and all had a 2/3 pour- delicious juice. Service was lovely, although there were ordered items that never made it to the table. Also, check was dropped then not attended to again for more than 20 minutes, although the CC was on the check within 60 seconds. We had good convo in the meantime, but were let down there at the end. Ambiance was excellent, and the Mocktail ordered by our one non-drinker was top notch. Altogether, a recommended spot.

Great place! Cool vibe! The servers were very attentive and the manager is also hands on with table touching. The alcohols are pretty strong, worth every penny! We came here during Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday and we enjoyed our time here! The food were all delicious in a very unique American style and portions are mostly shareable. My favorite one is oddly the cinnamon roll! I can’t describe it but I got it as an appetizer and also for dessert. Yes, I ordered it twice! We were seated outside on a February morning and the atmosphere and temperature were perfect. Reservation is highly recommended although we were walk in. Kid friendly, no wheelchair access, valet parking but there might be parking spots on the street if you get lucky. It’s a little walk down the Railroad St though. This is my second time at this place. My first time was dinner on a summer night. It was intimate and perfect spot for a date.I mostly review food, but I really appreciate the employees here. Our server, the manager, the busboy, our cocktail waitress, the bartender… they were all so attentive, friendly, very welcoming and just in general nice people!

Always wanted to go here and finally had a special occasion to take advantage of. We had a somewhat large party, seven all together, and were seated immediately in the room to the right of the entrance. Everyone seemed to order something different, I had the sea bass, and the spaghetti squash with the Brussels sprouts were both excellent. The signature drinks are the really, really especially the inferno and cemetery.
