Food was good but heavy! This is a loud restaurant and is good if you're wanting a bar style environment with food and drinks. Hence the name - pocha. One of the owners or managers was walking around checking on customers which was so nice. Overall, I enjoyed the food and service was decent but it was a little too heavy for me so I probably won't return.

3 star: Service was okay. Girl was nice. Came in before my group was there and they kindly changed our table after I told them we don't mess around with how much we order. The only thing on the menu that tasted as good as it was hyped up to be was the fried chicken. Delicious, crunchy, and good flavor balance. The rose tteokbbokki was watery and flavorless, the bulgogi risotto honestly tasted like costco bulgogi (too sweet), and the corn pancake confused us. This place would do better with a corn cheese instead of the pancake. We got the army stew also, but nothing special. Overall, we hope for the best for this place, but it was not for us and we will most likely not be returning. Also, parking is hard for here. Had to pay 15 for the garage next to it. Find street parking if you can.

Got spot to hang out in Pasadena! My friend was saying how reasonable the price and food is here and so I had to come check it out! Let me tell you! This spot is a go to place why go to ktown when you got a better place here in Pasadena! The food is so good and the beer selection is great!!!!! Please get the snow beer it's like a slushy beer. I came here three times so far and I tried almost all the menu but I didn't complain about one food because it was that good! The price and portion is pretty good! Everyone is so nice here and the service is super fast! I recommend this spot already to couple of my friends and this is also their go to spot! Weekend gets pretty crowded so get there early! They also have Photo Booth!!! So cute!!! Lots of street parking and also structure parking across the street. Enjoy and don't forget to thank me

Highly recommend the Urban fried chicken and gochujang stew with brisket. Laid back atmosphere and great place to get dinner with friends if you don't want to travel all the way into Koreatown for something similar.

Pasadena has its own pocha now! We do enjoy the occasional outing here with friends. Everything on the menu is group friendly and enjoyable - it's meant for sharing. I personally love their seafood pancake and military stew with all the fixings. Best accompanied with some Hite beer or soju. Staff is attentive and friendly. I hope to see them last and only get better!

I have so much love for Urban Pocha! I was so lucky to have my birthday party here with 30 people, and Urban Pocha was able to host us and take such amazing care of us! The place and ambiance are incredible, like you're in a late night restaurant in Korea. Lots of TVs that play K-pop music videos and other things, and they have a cute Photo Booth in the corner that's really fun! Food wise, do NOT sleep on the honey garlic chicken wings!!! Everyone who I've brought to this place tells me how they can't go back to other Korean fried chicken after eating at Urban Pocha! Their army stew, fried rice, pork jowl, pancakes are all amazing as well! If you need a place to go out, eat good food and have fun, don't look anywhere else but Urban Pocha!

I really enjoyed this restaurant; it reminds me of Seoul. Each table has cute night lights, and the decor is stylish, resembling Korean idol style. The restaurant is spacious, the food is delicious, and the service is attentive. Just a heads-up : although the address says Fair Oaks Ave., actually the front door is on Green St. Overall, I loved it and plan to return.

This place had an Asian pub vibe when you walk in, super fun! Ordered quite a few things on the menu but only posted the top 3 items. Bossam, egg omelette and the Kim chi pancake. All very very good! Also got the chicken wings and the chicken gizzards which I felt was a disappointment for me. Both had a lot of batter on it to ratio of protein, not really my thing but it might be others. The gizzard had a yuzu flavoring in it which I believe most people like but I'm not a fan. The service was really friendly and the food came out at a timely matter which matters

Service sucked! Food was bleh. Came here for the first time on a Friday. My friend got a table first and waited for the entire group to show up. While she waited, no one came up and asked her if she wanted water. When we all showed up they took forever to come and take our order. After we ordered, they didn't even ask if we wanted drinks or water. Waited 40 mins still no one came by to see if we needed anything. I ended up raising my hands like in grade school and asked can we get some water and our friend didn't receive a drink she ordered. We found out the drink order wasn't even put in so we had to ask did she input our food order as well? On top of that they automatically charge 20% gratuity for 4 people? This is ridiculous! Never will I come back. Place wasn't even super packed for the crappy service

Food is tasty, service is okay (forgot some of our orders which ended up on the bill), and ambiance is fun, but not for everyone. Super loud atmosphere which can be fun if you don't mind the noise, but probably not going to come back for that reason.

This is our favorite Korean restaurant in Pasadena! We were some of their first customers when it opened last fall, and we go back ALL the time - it's now one of our staple go-tos, and we take all our friends! One of the owners, Jin, is amazing. He treats us and our friends like family every time we walk in. The food is incredible - it's all seasoned so well and tastes freshly made every time. They have great drinks as well, and a full bar in the back. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks, and the bar in the back almost looks similar to a lounge/chill club - great if you just want to go just for drinks. There's a lot of seating/tables and we've never had to wait for a table, despite it being packed every time we go. A MUST if you want good Korean food and you're in the area.

A really great hangout spot! Lowkey, spacious, good and attentive service, comfortable, easy parking across the street. Lots of different good options. A little expensive but where isn't nowadays? The brisket rose tteokbokki was full of umami flavor, the fried chicken was fried to perfection (we tried both honey garlic and original, I liked the subtle salt of the OG but my table liked the honey garlic better), the squid and omelette was alright, I'd like to come back and try the other dishes.

So friends and I went to this place and had their fried chicken and my god was it good and delicious! The chicken was very crunchy almost as if they triple fried it! Very juicy and very flavorful. There was Korean soup with noodles and meat.. not sure what that was but it was delicious as well! The soup wasn't bland or too overpowering of seafood taste which I enjoyed. The only thing was the fried chicken was oily buttt that's an overlook ! Service was great and very attentive l, the place was very clean and modern and full of energy.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with about 18 people. There are some nearby parking structures as well as metered street parking if you get lucky. I entered through the back in the alley and was surprised to find how huge this establishment is! There's a bar area with a table for a group, then there's the main restaurant in the front, and in between those two areas was where my large party was seated. One side of the table had to sit on these tiny stools with no back support and that was tough! (iykyk my fellow 30s folks lol) The vibe was very casual. They had many TVs around the restaurant and they had on the lakers vs. warriors game (with a double OT!) so it was pretty lively throughout the restaurant. The TVs near us weren't displaying anything and after asking for a waiter to help us put the game on, they were able to help keep us entertained! I ordered the honey garlic chicken wings and the kim chi fried rice. The wings came out pretty fast and they were pretty delicious. The skin was the perfect kind of crunchy and it was saucy! The chicken was juicy and tender as well. I thoroughly enjoyed these wings. My kim chi fried rice was literally the last thing to come out because they had forgotten about it. When I asked about it, the waiter looked at my table to see if maybe it came out and someone else had it. It took a minute before I got my dish and I waited sooooo long. Other people had already gotten their kim chi fried rice too so that was a bit disappointing and the main reason I'm taking off one star. My friends got a bunch of other dishes to try and they seemed like their food overall. I tried a bit of the korean military soup and it was quite salty. Overall, a cool place to check out that accommodates both small and large groups and has a good menu selection!
