The service here is horrible, we had a server that was a girl and she was horrible. Forgot certain things on our order, explained the food wrong so we weren’t too happy with our food although it was good (just not what we wanted), halfway through our dine here she just stops halfway servicing us randomly just not even checking up on us anymore. A guy server had to come in and help us out, he honestly did more work than she did.

Ugh, I really wanted to like this place... Had lunch here last Sunday. As we were driving through Pasadena saw so many restaurants with lines out the door. We feared we would have to wait, but when we got here, we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. In fact throughout our entire meal, not one single other person came in here, and now we know why...There is like a $3-5 upcharge if you want any flavored soups besides kombu. We ordered our soups/meats/veggies, and to my surprise the soup base was not the first thing to come out like other hot pot places. The veggies came first after maybe 5 minutes. Then another 5 minutes before we got the soups. The soups took a VERY LONG TIME to heat up, so we were just sitting there waiting. Our meats were just piled on the plate, no presentation at all, which doesn't really matter, but when you lay all the meats flat on top of each other, its hard to pull them apart to cook. They end up just shredding in to little strips which made it kind of difficult to eat.The servers were nice and came by to refill our waters often. However whenever we had any requests, more sauce, more napkins, extra spicy sauce, etc, they would often forget and not bring it the next time they came back. We had to remind them of our requests often. Which in an entirely empty restaurant was kind of shocking.I miss Little Sheep and was so happy it was replaced with another hot pot place. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't hit.

Came here for lunch with our kids we we're a total of 6 we spent 160 something we got 2 of the meal for 2 I believe it's called and they which would have been a good deal if we can order one and share it all we were recommended to get 2 of those which was wayyyy too much food it was our first time here I wish she would have stated it would have been more than enough they came out with 4 veggie bowls to put in broth 4 broths 4 meats rice and noodles again it would've been good enough to be able to get just one and added the $14 share fee each meal had they were each $78 I believe anyways food was good the girl was nice and tried to explain the menu but just wish we would've known how much food since we still had a lot left over. One complain I do have is she only came around once after we got our food and then didn't stop by maybe for another 20-25 we didn't have drinks and needed napkins as well .. lastly for some reason our card kept getting declined until she went to ask for help I didn't like that she didn't apologize and explain why the card was getting declined as this can be a bit embarrassing. Overall the food and service I give it 3/5 I don't think I will come again.Kid-friendliness: High chair

Confused about the quality control here. Seems pretty inconsistent. The first time I ordered from Yuzu I got dry pot takeout. The food was perfectly cooked and well flavored, and prepared quickly too. Pricey but tasty and stretched into two modest meals. Smooth online order experience. Since then I’ve ordered the same thing (overcooked with dry noodles, much saltier and spicier than last time—restaurant didn’t get my order in time so I had to wait an extra 20 min, portion was smaller). I’ve also tried the pork rice (very sad and bland) and the last time I tried to order they cancelled saying the item wasn’t available (custom dry pot isn’t available for ordering? No way.) Staff is nice and apologetic but they don’t seem to have a good system for online orders and quality control. I’d recommend you sit down at the restaurant if you want to try their food, and avoid DoorDash at all costs. Hopefully they can figure it out.

We almost canceled our reservation since the reviews weren't so great. Thankfully we didn't because everything was amazing for the price. We did the premium AYCE and the quality was amazing. The waiters were super friendly and everything came out really fast. This place is huge and clean, not overcrowded so it makes the experience more enjoyable.Wintermelon tea was so bomb.

Love some shabu in the cold season, especially when there is no wait for dinner time. Walked in on a Saturday evening and was seated immediately. Service was average and food in general tasted average. I always had to ask for things- tongs, bowls, etc. I was pleased with the entire meat selection and broth selection- opted for the 2 for $76. The meat portions were huge! Rice tasted a bit hard, they should have cooked it longer. Goma sauce was my favorite out of the three sauces- ponzu and satay were the other two. Wish they had more alcohol beverage options on the menu.

The broths and meat selections here were pretty good! We got some pork belly skewers, but the sauce was just barbecue sauce, so we didn't enjoy them. Our server was attentive and friendly!

Service is awesome first of all. Quality of meat is also awesome, but what I found to be the best thing was the quality of the broth! So flavorful!!!!Love this place, will definitely be going back. Probably a lot. It's also AYCE, u can get the premium for the wagyu meats. ALSO.... The hot appetizers were delicious, pork belly and spare rib..

Great shabu shabu in Pasadena and not downtown Los Angeles' Japantown? Yup, it's available at Yuzu. There were four of us and we opted for different cuts/selection of meat and base/stock to cook them. The cuts of meat were fabulous with beautiful marbling and the accompanying side dishes (appetizers) added to the meal. In addition to the appetizers are a great selection of Japanese beer on tap (to include ORION - an Okinawan beer!) The only downside to the great meal was the rice - not quite the quality of the meat nor appetizers, but you are at the place for the meat, not rice. If the quality of rice was better, the rating would add another star.Service was good as the wait staff was attentive and quick.Need not travel to downtown Los Angles' Japantown as surprisingly good shabu shabu is in Pasadena!

This is the worst restaurant. the second time I come to pick up my order and the second time they say that I have to burn for another 20 minutes. they also say that I can cancel this order. I know what I can do without them. upd: after 20 minutes, I was told to wait another 10. this is crazy. I asked the manager, some dirty guy in a hoodie came out (I think it wasn't the manager) and said they couldn't do anything about it. terrible attitude. don't come here please

This place is the weirdest restaurant cuz the space is so big but there’s no customers. If you come and try you can kinda tell that. The environment is super dark and there’s no self-serve dressing. The food quality is fresh compare to other Shabu ayce. The restaurant is called yuzu but I don’t see any Yuzu dish. The ordering sheet is hard to read and menu needs explanation. Our server was nice but there’s only one server Saturday noon. He’s apparently overwhelmed and I kinda feel bad for him. How can a ayce restaurant only have one server

Respectfully, this is one of the worst Hot Pot spots I have been to. I went to the Pasadena location to be met by very poor service, a rude staff, and most importantly. FLIES AND GNATS EVERYWHERE. It's impossible to focus on my anniversary date when there's constantly a fly or gnat buzzing around our table. To serve Wagyu you'd expect a clean work and eating environment, however it is tainted like crazy when there's flies bugging you. The broths are okay here, the cooked sides were actually pretty good, however the meats were not much to write home about. I believe the ambiance could use a bit of work as well, for our visit atleast in particular there was no music. Coupled with a very sparingly filled restaurant it felt like a library. All you hear is the subtle buzz of a fly passing you by.If you want a good Wagyu experience, a la carte at HaiDiLao is going to be a better option every single time. It costs the same and delivers on service and quality. Yuzu certainly doesn't reach the quality expectation of a place that serves wagyu. I appreciate the variety of broths, however I had 2 broth changes due to a lack of flavor.

We got to know this restaurant from instagram and the ad shows the food was delicious until we tried. We order the AYCE premium, it does include the Wagyu beef. But the first order is totally different with the second order, we asked the waitress, she told us it's because from different cut ‍ we was like seriously?! actually the first wagyu was not as expected, but at least they were marbled. Luckily we didn't try the $129 AYCE reserve ‍It was a Saturday night, there were only two waitresses and a guy look like a manager or higher ranking for the service. We waited 15 mins after they took our order for the soup base and rice/noodles and the sauces coming. While i've already finished the rice alone, the food still on their way (i can say we had waited for 30mins for the meat), not even water and the appetizer until we asked ‍ ended up the veggies had never came, i did ask if they help us to make the order, then the guy came with a blank menu paper and had us to reorder again ‍They did 20% off on the check for their "slow service". However, this $49 AYCE premium was not as expected and very disappointed,. We would be rather to Momo paradise or Mikiya Wagyu Shabu HouseWe're sorry, but we DO NOT RECOMMEND this to anyone
