Came in, greeted, and ordered. Got food in 5 minutes and hot. Chciken nor over seasoned and plenty of food for the price. Got shakes that took effort to sip through a straw.

THEY WERE NOT PLAYING ABOUT THEIR VERY HOT SAUCE.I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and a strawberry milkshake, they give you a nice portion of fries and they are very crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and very well seasoned, and their dipping sauce is gas.The chicken in the sandwich was very tender and juicy and VERY VERY HOT.Will be coming again and ordering something less hot. 10/10 place.

Hands down best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I got the Original medium heat with fries and there wasn’t a bite I didn’t enjoy the fries were just as phenomenal as the sandwich.

Nice little fast food stop. But some ok seating. Great sandwhich and fries. One of four hot chicken sandwhich shops we are trying. Best of three so far.

Saw a review in the local newspaper. Came by to check it out and it was very good. Mom was happy. Fresh and tasty. You can even get not hot and the French fries were not mushy as the article said.

One of the better Nashville Hot Chicken joints outside of Nashville! Chicken was juicy and nicely seasoned, and Hot was the perfect level of heat for me. My favorite Nashville joints add a touch of brown sugar for a slightly sweet kick, so I was missing that, but the overall flavor was excellent and true to the style.Fries are sort of the thick beer-battered type (not my favorite style. Shake was premade from a dispenser and skippable.Very good and I’ll return, but man, do I miss Good Ol’ Burger in this space. Best burger west of the Mississippi. No idea why the owner closed it down in favor of this place when he could have opened this separately anywhere else. Wish he’d at least serve the old Coyote Burger from Good Ol’ Burger on Big Bubba’s menu or something. :((Same owner owns most of the restaurants on this block—Nate’s, Big Bubba’s, Tortilla Town, and Rustic Fire.)

This place is excellent! We only recently discovered it as we pass through Paso all the time. Which Harvel a considerable amount through the central coast between LA and the bay area. I'm a big fan of Dave's hot chicken, and I dare to say that this place is even better Especially the side of bread although it doesn't come with all items it's actual garlic bread, which is very good favorite as usual is the side order of chicken tenders doesn't come with bread like Dave's buy the brand you pay him back for is well worth it because it's far better. my wife got the breakfast sandwich as well as the chicken sandwich and absolutely love them and they're probably some of her favorite french fries. They're those yummy crispy battery fries. Very highly recommended! Will be traveling through again. As well, their team of employees are always excellent! We should know we've been there several times this week.

Great food and service! We were in town and wanted some good hot chicken! My son loved the chicken and waffles and went back the next day for more! Our chicken sandwiches were yummy as well!

Their food is amazing! I got the Scary Spicy Chicken and Waffles and it was fantastic and my wife had the Tenders with Fries. Not only was the chicken super hot and flavorful, it was perfectly crispy. The waffle was also really good. I'm someone who eats a lot of really spicy food and I'll say that "Scary hot" is definitely scary hot.Thank you, Nate's. We'll be visiting again.

Hot chicken as you would expect. As good as as any of the major brands. Good toast, great fries. What’s not to like?

Maybe I should have read reviews before trying Nate's Hot Chicken. As I sit here writing this review I find myself nodding to many of the comments that are listed in the "Recent Reviews" column to the right. Especially the 2/3 star ones. We definitely didn't have a 4/5 type of experience.Dear Hubby and I were driving back from the Bay Area. It was about dinner time, and we didn't want to take the time for a full sit down experience, even though it was his birthday. We'd had a long few days with ailing family members / hospital visits. We were just anxious to get home to our own bed and routine for a bit.In the same center as Starbucks and Tortilla Town, we decided to give Nate's a try. We were hungry and tired, in search of a break before more road time. Turned out to not be our best spontaneous choice.Music much too loud. No one eating there in the 6:00 hour; might have been a sign. The cashier wasn't unfriendly, exactly, but not very customer service oriented, either. When I mentioned that it was my husband's birthday, the man didn't smile, didn't offer a simple "Happy Birthday", nothing - deadpan. Maybe he couldn't hear me because the rap music was annoyingly playing at high volume.I get that Nate's, and other hot chicken places, are going for an urban anti-chic vibe, but it's not really family friendly, which cuts down on potential customers. The interior design had some interesting elements, but it didn't warm the cockles of my heart, let's just say.Foodwise, the piece of chicken on my sandwich was good, but it was thicker and smaller than the bun, and smothered in a lot of slaw and sauce. Thus the whole thing fell apart before I came close to finishing the chicken. That left a lot of mushy bread and very sauce-covered fingers to deal with, which was messy in the extreme. The taste was okay, but not memorable in a good way.In the dining room they had a TV playing "Fail 101" videos, some of which were amusing, but to watch people be humiliated by falling down or randomly getting hit with something unexpectedly got old before very long.I didn't feel uplifted by the dining experience. It was overwhelming/underwhelming at the same time. I might consider ordering something to go at a future time, but they're not at the top of my list during a drive-through trip past Paso Robles. Also, it wasn't that reasonably priced for what it was. I did like the fries. The chicken sandwich was so filling that I didn't finish all the fries. Brought them home and revived them in the air fryer for lunch another day.

The chicken is juicy and good and service is good but was disappointed at the price? 15.00 for 2 strips fries and a Texas toast .

This is very authentic. I humbled myself when I ordered very hot and that put me in my place. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the fries were amazing.
