Pappy McGregors has the best calamari on the Central Coast. I haven't found better even at the coast! My first Expresso Martini did not disappoint. Service was outstanding!

We were greated by a server that seemed irritated to take our order We had the pretzel appetizer which was good and my husband had the maple old fashion which was excellent. I had the watermelon and sage cooler and a margarita both were overly sweet. Our food arrived and two out of four dishes were cold. The garlic fries were topped whith a garlic butter sauce but the garlic was raw and overpowered the fries which you can tell had sat around awhile. I had the steak and mushrooms which had a decent flavor which was served in a cast iron skillet so i have no clue how it was cold and you could pick up the skillet. It arrived with garlic bread that was smoothered in cheese but again cold and hard. The chili had a kick and plety of chunks of meat. For the price i was suprised it was served alone. My son ordered the waygu burger mesium rare but the patty was so thin it couldnonly be cooked well done. Luckily he ordered it with an egg so it disnt taste so dry.

Ate lunch here prior to baseball game. They had a nice lunch special/happy hour menu that offered half plates with a side. I got the corned beef tacos and a side of chili. My wife got a cup of clam chowder. The tacos were outstanding, the chili above average, and the chowder was solid, but a little too rich for my taste. Good beers on tap, but an automatic 20% gratuity charge (for a party of six) was a little too steep. Our waitress was great, but I'm not a big fan of any automatic gratuity charge. A good waitress/waiter could possibly get more than 20% from me, but I never add on if I'm already automatically charged. Gratuity should be an incentive, not automatic.

We absolutely love Pappy's. The food and drinks are always perfect, the atmosphere is great but more than anything the service is always amazing. This is my family's favorite restaurant, to the point that we eat here weekly, but would come even more often if it were up to my daughter. I appreciate that the staff treats her like a little adult, she feels so special getting to order her favorite mocktails and loves seeing all of their smiling faces. We even ate here on Easter and the staff was kind enough to allow her to hand out Easter Eggs to each and every one of them. They all acted so kind and excited with her, which made her enjoy it even more.All of the food is great, I've never had something I didn't like, and if you ask my daughter, they have the "best mocktails and Rueben sandwich in town!".Parking: Parking is always available around the park or on the backside of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Full kids menu that features several dishes, activities, coloring and they give the kids a pack of Wiki Stix to create something with while they wait.

Danita & Griffin run a terrific bar. Great service! The cocktail and food menu changes occasionally which is fun and keeps it fresh. The ambiance is solid, indoor, outdoor, patio or bar! The craft cocktails are unique and creative. We live the food as well. Great burger!

Ended up ordering the short rib jalapeno burger. You could taste the short ribs but not to much of anything else for seasoning or even spice from the peppers. Stopped in there 4-5 days earlier and had an old fashion and wasn't every impressed there either. Nice smaller spot though with a good patio area, plenty of tvs with sports on and good service all around. If stop for a whiskey or beer but that would be about it.

Honestly, I would give a zero review. I have had zero drinks. I walked in with a happy energy like my personality, and they COMPLETELY judged me thinking that I was drunk. When I asked for a drink, they said no because I was "drunk".... Ok, if I would have blown a breathalyzer it would have been a zero. HOW RIDICULOUS OF A JOKE THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS. I honestly don't recommend it to anyone. Here on vacation and will never come back again.
Waitress allowed to try a few beers ...giving me choices that I may like.... free of charge... I didnt like the calamari... but her service was good enough for me to recommend others to go check this place

If you can get a seat, worth a try. They have specialty drinks, normal drinks and pub food. The food was a bit overly salted but again went more for the drinks.
