Unfriendly and slow service. Baked goods were stale. Sad, I was so excited to try this spot.

I had s dream last night about my favorite Los Angeles Mexican bakery and it’s picture -perfect shelves of beautiful fresh pastries, so I googled the nearest Mexican bakery hoping to make my dream come true but was sadly disappointed. Maybe their other dishes are wonderful, I wouldn’t know, but their pastries were dry and old and the selection was lacking . I definitely wouldn’t call this place a “ bakery” :(

Really good. Amazing tamales. Authentic pan dulce. After walking past this place for years I finally went in today. I will definitely be back to try more from the menu. It's not fancy and it doesn't need to be.

We were having a birthday dinner and wanted some tamales so have this place a try. They were fantastic, everyone loved them. Will definitely go back and try some other goodies.

I believe this place deserves a second chance from the negative reviewers. It's my understanding that it has seen a change in management. The tamales are delicious and spicy. The baked goods are traditional and tasty. They have specials I'd like to try. Give it a shot, I believe you'll like it.

When I seen "Karina's Mexican Bakery", I was excited to enter and smell fresh baked pan dulce. Instead there was next day bagged pan dulce, with a slew of other stuff for sale, in a shabby, not quite clean environment.... I should've turned around and walked out, but I was trying not to judge and support our local businesses. So I bravely ordered pupusas's , that's where my story ends, and another reason why I'll never go back. Pupusas description (A limp representation, stuffed with yuckala and spit of what should've been a mountain of Curtido). Looking for a great pupusa spot, try El Zocalo in South San Francisco

Quaint and friendly shop. They had many choices of traditional baked goods.

We just went here for the first time in a coupe years and were greatly disappointed. We used to like this place a lot and found their breads and pastries to be very good, probably enough to rate about 4 in the past, but for a variety of reasons we hadn't been here for a few years before the Covid shutdown of March 2020. The place was dirty and highly disorganized, much of it looking as though it had been given over to random storage of things, and not even organized. The selection of items was practically nonexistent and there was essentially nothing fresh but only "day old" and the like. The place barely seemed to be making any effort at doing business at all and seemed neglected. We were getting things for a group so we decided to grab a bag of the small horn pastries. Because there was not really much to choose from. When we got to our destination, we saw that the bag had a fairly large hole in it and they were not good, perhaps stale. This was in the mid-morning, too, so it was not because they had either just opened or were finishing up. Perhaps this is another victim of the Covid shutdowns but I don't know. I have decided to give two stars based on past experience and to give the benefit of the doubt at this point because this was the first visit in some time. Truthfully, though, this specific experience was a 1 star and would not itself warrant another visit.

Wow. Best homemade style Mexican dishes at ridiculously low prices. The chicken soup can probably feed 2 and is loaded with ingredients. Great tamales, pupusas, etc. Don’t expect fancy. If you want classy, take the food home. Be ready to rub shoulders with farm hands who eat every meal here.

Some of the best tamales in town, no doubt about it! To be honest, I don't shop here on my day to day. But on special occasions, we will hit up this place on the tamale order. Like I said...the best place in town!
