Two words: Fancy. Toast. Girlies, hear me out, we love having our little treats that are fantastic flavor and a balance between sweet/savory. The fancy toast is all of that. They come bite sized, and you can get four for $29. The leek fritters and steak fries were a great appetizer and especially delicious during happy hour. I definitely would come back here again on gorgeous weather days. The seating/furniture is inviting for groups who want a casual hangout.

A very nice surprise! The food was spot on, and Mac, our waiter, was on top of it....and funny too. We left happy and stuffed. I'm still flavoring the Greek flatbread..and the leek fritters..and the sauce, oh my! The eggs benedict, I usually don't eat them because of the heavy hollandaise sauce, where fab! Blu salad and the brisket sando....more yumm. Plus, the bloody mary was spicy but no too spicy. All in all...I will be back, and spread the word around.

Really good food, even the French fries stood out as phenomenal!

The overall experience at Luma was disappointing. For some positives, the ambiance is nice. Also the lemonade is surprisingly good. Beyond that the experience was poor. The food seemed to lack flavor. We tried the fancy toast in a few different options, all of which were pretty bland. The main dishes we got at our table were also unimpressive (chicken pesto pannini, beet salad, eggs benedict). With the cost of the restaurant, I would say the food and service was really not worth it. When we left, none of us really looked forward to returning in the future.

We enjoyed a delicious bowl of polenta on a cold rainy day. For appetizers I had one of their selection of Fancy Toasts. It was the best appetizer I've tasted this year and possibly in the entire last year. The staff were impressive and four of them, at different times, checked in with us to see how we were enjoying our lunch. The hostess actually checked in twice. Highly recommended.

We've dined twice at Luma and have had great meals both times. Last Thursday we had the roasted beet salad, the gigante bean gratin, and the farmer's flatbread. Each was absolutely scrumptious, healthy while feeling decadent (how could anything THAT delicious possibly be healthy?), and in generous portions. It's great having a full bar too! Luma is owned by the same people at The Shuckery in Petaluma, and at both places it's obvious that great care is taken to staff the restaurants with skilled, efficient and NICE people! It's always such a joy to go to both places. We live in San Rafael, and it's worth the drive to Petaluma for both these restaurants.

Good not great. Taste is exceptional. Keep in mind the portions are very very small.

Went back recently and had a much better experience! Luma bar has a great owner that takes feedback seriously and is client-centered. My best recommendation is to go for dinner as you will find more plant based protein and fish options. Mushrooms dishes are only offered at dinner time as well. We got many dishes and enjoyed every single one! My favorite was the gigante bean dish with mushrooms and pesto I think it was? Mmm so good! Will come again.

We always like our visits to Luma and highly recommend them, BUT we tried them for brunch and while the food was good and the flavors were there I think I'll stick to their lunch and dinner menu. I asked about my eggs being over medium and at first I was told NO then I asked if they could be poached medium which he went and checked and said the chef could do that (I mean it's just leaving the egg in the water for another 45/60 seconds... but the chef doesn't know how to cook eggs cause they came out basically hard boiled ‍ And I could hear the server, bartender and what I assume was the manager talking about the difference between poached, medium and hard boiled and I knew at that point the eggs would be super wrong I got really turned off when I asked about the egg change and was just met with a "no" and not even a better customer service version of no or let me try oh darn he can't kind of explanation. I heard him tell another table NO twice as well for their questions, it must have been the word of day. Frankly, if someone asked me for an iced coffee I wouldn't just say NO I would say I can bring you the coffee and a glass of ice but that's the best I can do at the moment of that works for you. Again, we love the restaurant and will totally return but it will be for lunch and dinner.

We had a flat bread. The crust was perfectly crispy and chewy. The gnocchi and braised greens were tadyy. We liked having so many vegetarian choices. Also, the mocktails are very good

Best mescale margarita ever! I've only been a few times, but the lamb meatballs were yummy, salads decent, and the pizza like dishes are ok. Focaccia was way too springy....But sauce was yummy. I love the people. So warm and inviting. Decent amount of space betw tables so you don't feel on top of each other. Outdoor is great too.

We had a group of 12 come and the owner and staff were very accommodating. The food is excellent and our small event ran so smooth. They have a beautiful room for hosting up to 15-20 guests.

Atmosphere was great, very cute spot. Food was good but not great. Service was ok, not as warm or welcoming as I’d expect. Great to have many vegan options to choose from on the menu.
