We all enjoyed the food, my Brussels sprouts tacos were excellent, ahi burger, crab cakes and French toast with chicken all very good. Only drawbacks are that the patio, while near a stream and green belt, has a high fence so you can’t see it. And a few waiter problems, wrong order for one, then a few times not knowing which table was getting what.

Great food, and generous portions! Raquel was an excellent and attentive server (who played along with our kid’s antics, much to our appreciation). The special- breaded cod with horseradish - was really outstanding, with the right crunch ratio to match the mashed potatoes, and the horseradish was a really flavorful twist. We also liked the banana dulce de leche sorbet. Again, really generous portions!

Don’t go here for the chicken if you like drumsticks, wings or anything but white meat. That’s all they have! (They probably buy chicken breasts somewhere wholesale at Costco or something.) Also, The concerned waitress asked me “how I was doing?” at least 11 times.I answered “great!” 9 out of the 11…And there’s more— they put brussels sprouts in the shepherds pie…. I guess that’s okay if you like brussels sprouts…but brussels sprouts in shepherds pie is not in any recipes I’ve ever seen.

This is the first time we have been back since the new ownership. We were hoping for a total reset. The menu is the same with a handful of additions. Beer selection is good and rotating which is always fun. Wine selection is acceptable with a little bit for every taste. I had the risotto with ahi. The ahi was totally overdone and obviously previously frozen. The risotto was well prepared but borderline too cold. My wife had the Shepherds pie. She relayed the mashed potatoes were cold on the inside. For the price they are about par with the overpriced area they are located. This will get the job done for south Petaluma if downtown is too crowded for you and you don't want to deal with parking issues. Another note, they are beer and wine only. Don't expect a full bar. You will find a good amount of families here so be prepared for the kid noise in addition to the regular noisy environment.

Very nice pub with creative menu. Server was very attentive. Food reasonably priced - we had the steak tacos and Brussels sprouts tacos with were very good. Would return if in the area again. Too cool for outdoor seating, but that would be a nice option.

Fish and Chips were delicious. My husband loved the Beef Stroganoff that was on special. We always eat at the bar because the staff is so awesome. I highly recommend Pub Republic.
Where to start, Ordered a draft beer and after about 10 minutes I noticed the bartender skimming off the foam from a beer refilling twice more and sat it at the counter where another 10 minutes went by and our server brought it to me room temp. Ordered the special Cajun shrimp appetizer to start which arrived long after the beer and as the server dropped it off and started walking away I asked her if this was the shrimp in which she replied no the shrimp shouldn't have been on the menus for tonight and I'm not charging you for it. I asked what it was and she stated shrimp, ceviche, of course it wasn't, it was ahi tuna! And I wish I could tell you how great the ribeye steaks were, but after waiting a total of an hour, and only seeing our waitress twice, we walked out. This was a Thursday night and plenty of open tables, so I cannot chalk the poor service up to the restaurant being busy. In addition, and I guess I should have taken into consideration, both both patrons on each side of us had issues with her meals as well.

Twice in the last week, we have stopped here for lunch en route to and from rv trips. Been coming here for years. Both last times they said they were out of salmon crostini appetizer. Apparently under new ownership. And being taken off menu. Boo!!So new owner, update your menu! Rest of menu is typical. So disappointed. I came here for salmon crostini and if last week they had told me off menu instead of just “out” we would have NOT come back. Will not go back.

Our family went for a birthday, our server forgot to put in our order. Asked 2x about the birthday dessert, but never remembered to bring it out. The kids meals were very small and the fries were cold. The wait was extremely long and the service was bad. I do not recommend this place, especially if you are planning to bring kids.
