Urban deli is a great little spot. Food is fresh and made from the heart. I always leave there feeling good, not heavy not processed, but clean food. Sam and his wife are a great team. The menu is subtle fusion, strongly leaning towards Eastern cuisine. There are a couple surprise items, you wouldn't expect. The eggplant sandwich and the Mediterranean sampler are a couple of my favorite vegetarian options. Chicken Shawarma plate is also a winner, you can't really go wrong with anything at this place.

I hesitate to say I fell in love at first bite, the love was growing while I debated my order! Good energy, smells great and I witnessed kindness, genuine caring from the owner. I also ATE that falafel like I’ve never eaten before, it was delicious. I’m sharing a photo of the lovely Joyce’s lunch, as I got my food to go. Yo, Petaluma, don’t sleep, get some healthy and delicious Mediterranean food at Urban Deli. I’ll be back!!!

Happy that I discovered this place. It has made it to my top choices for easy on the go or sit down gyro wraps. I would highly recommend trying the wraps! We order lamb and beef and they are a pretty generous size compared to other places I go to.Parking: If you’re lucky the red spot is available to run in and grab your food to go. I didn’t spend much time looking for parking so I may have missed a close by parking lot. I’ve been there a handful of times and just pull up and park in the spot that isn’t a spot and haven’t had any issues.

Got some takeout from this place for the very first time -- the kebab plate. For whatever reason, everything was so salty. The hummus was salty to the fact that even if I ate it with the pita bread I can still taste the salt. The kebabs were salty. The rice was a little less salty. The salad was eatable bc it has the least amount of salt. I'm pretty disappointed because I had high hopes for this place.

A+ Best baclava in Sonoma County!! I was never a huge baklava fan but my husband ordered me one and It was excellent, I loved it. My husband said the only downside is now yaya has some compitition. The food was amazing! Abundant in flavor and texture, Portions were large. We also ordered turkish coffee and it was lovely. There was a small wait but we looked back into the open kitchen and saw the chef making it from scratch, so it was hella worth waiting for! Over all an excellent experience that left us with a great date and a new favorite deli. Also Just want to add the chef was incredibly friendly and hospitable to us. 10/10

Stopped here for lunch this afternoon and am so glad I did. Ordered the Mediterranean sampler to get a taste of a few different items. Everything was great, but the falafel was truly the star of the show. I'm picky about falafel and can honestly say it was the best I've had in Sonoma County. So good I even ordered a falafel wrap (and baklava) for dinner tonight. The owner was very sweet and you could tell he was passionate about what he does. Check this place out!

Went for the first time today and we've definitely been missing out. We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, the Greek salad with chicken, and two pistachio baklavas. Everything was on point. 10/10. We will definitely be coming back. The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Thank you for the delicious food Urban Deli!

Urban Deli has amazing food made to order with high quality, fresh ingredients. I ordered the chicken shawarma which was so flavorful and each bite was perfectly balanced with an even amount of all the ingredients within it. My husband ordered the lamb kabob plate and raved at how delicious it was. The hummus was a perfect consistency and super flavorful. He also loved the pita bread that came with it- not at all dry but perfectly moist. We enjoyed our delicious meal sitting at the little bistro table outside while watching passersby. The owner was friendly and provided great service. He even gave us a complimentary baklava at the end. Do NOT miss out on this place!! You will be so happy with a full tummy after visiting Urban Deli.
