“BBQ upscale fast food. Cool concept, decor and menu options. Good amount of meat for the price....especially on the plates. Included sides were small portions. Order off to the register on the side once walking in, which was confusing for a first timer. Personally, the meat was much too salty to be a regular.“

“I'm from New England, though I was born in Trinidad and have always been quite attached to my Trini roots). Turkey Day is a big deal back East and it was my mom's favorite day of the year. She passed a few years back and I picked up the mantle, putting on a big "friends and family" feast for all comers. This year, that went sideways and I needed to find an alternative. Thankfully, I found Bridgetown. I ordered 10 roti (5 oxtail and 5 green curry shrimp), a jerk turkey leg, macaroni and cheese and an assortment of hot sauces. I picked everything up the day before Thanksgiving and all I had to do was pop the goodies into the oven (easy peasy) and wait (less easy peasy because it all smelled gooooood). It all tasted even better than it smelled. The roti were all on point (though I had a slight preference for the oxtail). The turkey leg was moist and flavorful. And the Mac and Cheese was flat out awesome. The macaroni was perfectly cooked, not mushy at all, and the sauce had just the slightest hint of heat. And let's not forget about the sauces. The lime pepper tomatillo was mild, but packed with flavor. The pineapple habanero and the pepper sauce both backed serious heat, but we're REALLY flavorful. I love hot sauce and the pineapple habanero was definitely among the best I've ever had. If you like trying different foods and you are looking for something a little different, give Bridgetown a go. You won't be sorry.“

“This is the second time I ordered a sandwich at LA Brisket this week! I can't believe more people aren't praising this joint! It is in a small mall/hallway in Chinatown. They have a few tables in the hallway. It's not the most convenient place to eat because of the limited seating and the exterior doors were open (causing a cold breeze). I was told by other guest that the doors can't be closed because it will lock. In short, it is easier to just order pick up and eat elsewhere. Anyways, let's get to the good part... the food. I've had both the 101 and 405 sandwiches. Both are so juicy and full of flavor with great combinations of cheese and sauce. The bread is perfectly is crispy on the outside so it hold its structure well for a sandwich but warm and soft on the inside. The brisket is the star of the show. Just the right amount of smoke and fat. It falls apart perfectly without being too soggy. The truffle fries were good. They were well done and very crispy. I'm hooked!“

“Parking: Very easy even on a Saturday/ Sunday brunch day. I would say to come early to check in on their Yelp waitlist in case their place get's especially busy. If you order all these dishes with a group of 4 people, this will fill you up. Banana Latte: Tasted more of the latte than the banana. Gamberry Rose Pasta: Don't play with the spicy level. It's not death spicy but it's a bit like Shin Ramen spicy. Would not recommend this dish for my non tolerant spicy people. Pasta is wonderful though, sauce was like uni cream, there were bits of masago (tiny fish eggs) to add a nice texture, 2-3 regular shrimp and a jumbo shrimp in the dish. Beet Tataki Salad: Would highly recommend for anyone! The beef was cooked so well, medium rare on the inside and the outside sliced edges were really crispy! Salad was refreshingly and dressed well with their vinaigrette, tomato, and shredded cheese. Gambas: Not my favorite dish. The sliced bread was presented in the skillet so bottom portion of the bread was overly greasy. There was too much olive oil at the bottom of the pan than necessary. Toasted whole garlic and olives, I think the only redeemable feature of the dish would be the shrimp.“

“This little spot is a straight up delight. Definitely designed to cater to treating yourself, Postres Cafe is an adorable little spot located in downtown Bellflower. While the food comes with a slightly hefty price tag, the quality is worth it. Came in on a Thursday morning, there was one person behind the counter who functioned as a cashier, barista, and server. They did an excellent job and were very sweet. I ordered a Cinnamon Crunch Latte and a breakfast bagel, not entirely sure what to expect. Cinnamon Crunch Latte: Really smooth espresso, with enough milk to mellow the flavor without losing it. It was sweet without being overwhelming, and had lots of rich cinnamon notes. It was tasty and I can share I have the best caffeine buzz right now. Breakfast Bagel: Don't come expecting a bagel with cream cheese, this isn't your typical bagel. Loaded with egg, bacon, and turkey, this is a protein bomb. There is mayonnaise and shredded cheese, which was interesting and I'm not sure how I felt about it at first, but I did wonder up devouring the whole thing. Somehow it worked. Next time, I'mma splurge on the chilaquiles. Definitely recommend this spot, both for solo dining or for an early coffee date with friends. Plenty of seating and an ambiance as sweet as their postres. Go check them out.“

That's why I cut back n only go once a month if anything or less. I use to spend at least $60 a week there. Now prices have tripled and just not it anymore. “Drove by this place a lot while we went shopping at Good Fortune Market across street. My husband is a big fan of pan fried buns so we decided to check it out. Before came here, I looked at their menu and it had extensive and authentic flavors for dumplings and pies. That’s how I knew they were legit!!We came on a rainy Saturday around 11:30am there were only two other tables. I feel on a nice day it would be busier. For food we got:- pork scallion pie (5/5). Wowwwww a must try!! It was so juicy and flavorful. The outside is perfectly crispy. This is our favorite and we definitely will try other flavors next time.- pan fried chicken mushroom dumplings (5/5). I love the dumpling skin as you can taste the slightly chew and that’s how you know it’s handmade!- cucumber salad (5/5). Very refreshing and balance out the richness of all the fried dumplings.- pan fried bun (4/5). This is probably my least favorite although it’s still pretty good. It doesn’t have much juice as I thought it would like the pie. So I’ll stick with the pies next time.No fuss service. You order via QR code and food comes out around 10-15 minutes. They have a sign to explain the 15 min wait due to all handmade to order which is well worth it!! This has become our new go-to for weekend brunch.“

“This place is an amazing brunch spot. I took my gf out to this restaurant and we both loved it. I had an amazing experience from beginning to end. We arrived at the place around 11:30 am and we quickly found parking. Upon arriving we were nicely greeted by the hostess in a polite manner and with a smile, then we were told that the wait time would be around 10 min, which ended up feeling less than that. We were seated and our waiter, Mike came to our table to take our drink orders. The drinks came fast and the food as well when we ended up ordering our food. Fast service, and very polite workers. The restrooms were very nice and clean. The ambiance was phenomenal, everything was aesthetically pleasing, homey, peaceful, and quiet. I felt like I could have a nice conversation with my gf and it would still be private. Ahhhh, and most importantly, the food did not disappoint. I got Brioche French toast w/ egg and country potatoes and I loved them, it was delicious, the portions were perfect. My gf got a pesto chicken sandwich which she loved. To drink I got a hot chocolate which was delicious and my gf got a hazelnut coffee. The total was 46.48 which I thought was reasonable, not too expensive. Just about the same cost of going to Denny’s. Overall a great experience, and a great spot to get brunch, I highly recommend it, and I give it a 10/10. I have to say, it was delicious and I never thought I'd be able to have a pie and gravy in the states, like back home. This was all finished with ice-cream and I have to say the Mint choc chip reminded me of the equivalent Viennetta from home.
