You'll miss this place if you're not looking for it. It's a little gem hidden in a big street. They have a fun menu with interesting items like their "j latti" which is shaved ice with soft serve ice cream; it's great. They also have traditional stuff like sundaes, banana splits, and even milkshakes. It's family owned and the owners are cordial. Prices are reasonable and portions are great. My only gripe is that it's a little bit run down and there are only a few benches outside which aren't very well kept. It's still cozy enough especially in the evening.

J's Ice Cream Parlor actually sells "Mustache Mike's" officially distributed shaved ice (from Placentia in the OC), but also makes their in-house soft serve and ice cream sundaes on location. The female, small business owners are very cordial and generous on their portions, the prices are very competitive, and their shaved ices and soft serves are very flavorful and refreshing on a hot, summer Southern CA day. I ordered to go several Large-size italian ices: Manic Mango, Juicy Rancher, Big Daddy, Da Bomb, and Mother Pucker flavors. I also tried the vanilla soft serve. Everything was fresh, sweet, and refreshing on a very, very hot day. If you're near the Pico Rivera area, check out J's for a delightful treat, but.... IF you're in the North OC area, check out Mustache Mike's Italian Ice Shop for the legit, original shaved ice that is actually distributed and sold here...

I was hesitant to review because my grandchildren really like their ice cream, but Ifound the place to be dirty. The outside counters were dirty & had little bugs running around on them. The staff was not very friendly or helpful ?.
