This was a year ago. I was really disappointed with the quality and taste. Let me start off that when my husband went to pick it up they didn't give him a box. If I was the one picking it up I wouldn't have taken this embarrassing cake home and asked for a refund, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But unfortunately when your gut feeling tells you to throw that trash away, just throw it, because my guests complained about lumps of sugar or baking batter in the cake. As you can see it looks more like an amateur baked it. Luckily I had a friend save my son's birthday with a another cake she had baked and she's not a baker. Sorry I wanted to order more from this bakery and I was hoping they'd continue to impress me. I held off the review because I was going to say some real nasty things at the moment but I had forgotten about it until google photos reminded me about how pissed off I was for my son's first birthday cake. Wouldn't recommend. I just wish they would have been honest and told me they weren't able to make the cake than give me something that look and taste terrible.

This is my cake from last year. I was very happy with it. I got it in February 2020. The lady was very patient with me as my party was only a few days away and was the only bakery who said yes to me.

This place is amazing and always has a great selection of pastries. Their product does change with the season so there is always something to look forward too. However, they always have their most popular breads available.

Two times i came to buy some bread, and first time i thought it was a one time thing. But second time, i noticed they always do this. They get your bread with their bare hands, and handle money at the same time.Considering the times now have to be extra careful and sanitary. They didn't even wear masks

My review is for the bolillos and pan dulce only. The bolillos are dry, hard and hallow and it taste nothing like it did in years past. I don't know if they change management or something, but it truly lacks flavor.

I came to this place because my friend had her cake made here for her birthday and it looked nice and tasted good. So I decided to have my 15 birthday cake made here. Worst decision I've ever made. I specifically told the person who helped me out how I wanted the cake to look. It was supposed to be a light blue 3 layer cake. each layer with a crisscrossing pattern and a bead placed at each intersection. Only the middle tier was done that way. The whole top of the cake was supposed to have piped flowers and the corners of the cake on each layer we're supposed to have piped flowers as well. They didn't put the flowers. instead they chose to put a #15 on top, which I never asked for. I asked for each tier to be a different flavor top tier lemon, middle vanilla, and bottom carrot. And I even asked specifically "are you able to do that? Because if not I can choose different flavors." The person then went on to say yes we can do that. They ended up making the whole cake vanilla. I was so excited and happy that I was able to customize my cake and was looking forward to the end result. The day of my birthday came and they delivered the cake and when I saw it I thought it was a joke. My mother and I were furious. But what really put the cherry on top was when I found out that the whole cake was vanilla when we finally cut it. We were charged so much money and I didn't even get what I asked for. Never again will I be coming to this place. And looking at some of the other negative comments proves it. Save your money and don't come to this place choose something that's actually worth your money.

This bakery is of close proximity to a school I was working at last year. I stopped by one morning before work and the lady whom welcomed me and assisted me was sweeter than the cheesecake I bought and loved so much. She was patient with me, I spent a long time looking at all within the bakery as well as had plenty of questions. Her customer service was stellar, she made me feel so warm and valued, and after I paid for my items she told me to wait. She brought out a freshly baked bolillo, wrapped it in a napkin and said "para que te lo comas en el camino" (so you can snack on the way) and that gesture was incredibly sweet. The bolillo was delicious by the way, I seriously had never had a more delicious bolillo!!! I live in Long Beach and always contemplate making the trek to get some fresh bolillos!!! The cheesecake was so great, it tasted like it was made in someone's family's kitchen with a ton of love and great ratio of sugar and cream cheese. Yum! This cheesecake is not traditional American, it is Mexican and if you've never had Mexican cheesecake please treat yourself --it's worth it! Please consider stopping by and supporting this local business. Such a great little bakery, with great prices, a good selection of goods, and even better staff and service.
