2701 Pinole Valley Rd Pinole, CA "Yumy Gurt" is a full service frozen dessert place that offers a variety of items at fair prices. This small place offers frozen yogurt, ice cream, sundaes, shakes, smoothies, flavored tea, coffee, and bubble milk. It has a prime location in a small plaza near the ramps for I-80. It's also across from Pinole Valley Shopping Center, and down the street from the Pinole Valley High School. I was in town for a Yelp Elite Event, and fellow Elite Annie L. recommended Yumy Gurt. They have a shared parking lot, but it appeared cramped so I parked on the street. It was a warm Sunday in Pinole, and the shop was a little busy with kids getting ice cream cones. Okay, I'm only interested in frozen yogurt, aka "fro-yo." The gentleman politely asked for my order, and I said.... Chocolate/Vanilla Swirl (Twist Combo), Small, with Lychee Jelly. ($4.45 + $1.00= $5.45) The non-fat choco/vanilla swirl was not too sweet, but had a good flavor. Not too chalky, with a slight tart taste. The lychee jelly was a generous serving for $1.00, and offered a unique texture and taste. Even though it's frozen yogurt, it didn't stand up well to the near 80*F temps. Oh well, I took my fro-yo to go. There were only a few small tables inside, and no outside seating. That's the only neg about Yumi Gurt, not enough seating. If you only want frozen yogurt, with no toppings, you'll get better value at a full service place like Yumy Gurt. I weighed the small cup, and it held 9-oz. $4.45 / 9-oz = less than 50 cents per ounce Check out their menu: Would I return? YES, good fro-yo, good service, nice location.

Had the watermelon sorbet frozen yogurt last night, and it was delicious. It's my husband's favorite flavor, so I took home a pint for him. They were open regular hours on Easter Sunday (to 9:30pm), which was really nice.

My late grandfather and I used to take my daughter here after karate. We still go. The family who runs it are just great people. There's a large selection of frozen yogurt, ice cream, and an array of desserts. It's never too crowded and just has the greatest small town good old ice cream parlor vibes.

For a small place, a really nice variety of ice creams, yogurts,, and smoothies. The young man and woman who staff the counter do everything for you and are friendly, alert, and incredibly efficient. The cookie dough malt shake with a Heath bar mix-in and whipped cream is to die for.

We've been coming here for years as this is our go-to local spot for ice cream. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. This place was a life-saver when my wife was pregnant and had late night cravings ?. It can get pretty busy especially during summers but there's usually one or two parking spots available.

I only got the brown sugar boba and I cannot wait to try all the other foods they have. The brown sugar was delicious and I got a large for only 6 dollars!! The cup was pretty big which is great for only 6 dollars. The worker that served us was also really nice and his vibe was joyful. As I left, I made sure to compliment the drink and the service. I will most definitely be back to try more of the items they have to try!

Honestly sad to say that I have lived up the street for a few years now and have only experienced the greatness this place has to offer a week ago! I've had the matcha brown sugar milk tea, honey milk tea, sea breeze smoothie and an avocado shake and they all are hits! Yes there aren't that many options for milk tea but they have the best tasting boba I've ever had. It is somehow less dense than others and offers a sensational texture that doesn't chew back at you. The service is great since you see the sweet couple owning and running the shop. We've been here a few times already and always have been greeted with a smile and gratitude. Ambiance gives off a hole-in-the-wall type feel and an original Pinole dessert shop for sure. They may be experiencing competition since Mochinut has opened up right next to them, but this place delivers so please help keep them around by giving your business + tips!
