Had the menudo and a cheese pupusa. The pupusa was a very tasty snack served with salsas. The menudo was amazing - it had a spicy kick that just hit the spot & will live on in my dreams. We ate in the beautiful covered patio out back that kindly allowed our dog.

My girlfriend and I are from the San Fernando Valley. We decided to explore Fillmore and heads towards Lake Piru. On our way back, we saw a cute little town and got hungry. We saw this place on yelp and definitely decided to give it a try. I order three taco combo and torta cubana. They extremely delicious. I've tried plenty of Tortas in South/East LA but when it came to the this place.. it's #1 for me. The beans and the taco's definitely are authentic as is. Since my gf is from Jalisco Mexico. She said it reminded her of home. Next time I go fishing at lake piru. I'm stopping by this place. Excellent service on the server!

Lived in Fillmore for more than 10 years and it is always nice to support local businesses. The patio has been recently expanded and apparently they have Karaoke Saturday evenings. Gorgeous place to stop by and get some amazing food and drinks for the whole family. With the lake nearby I stop by and get a fresh rotisserie chicken combo or two for the family and have a nice Sunday funday. Not to mention the BBQ pork ribs...OMG...my husband and I got a taste test and as we ate the ribs church bells rang. I can say the ribs were heavenly ? Amazing people and amazing little town. A++ for sure ??

I have been camping In this area for so long and passed this place so much but I finally stopped and got food and omg amazing! A hidden gem and the way the people treat you and service you is fantastic! Best of it all is the home style feeling and music of the restaurant! Just amazing!

Hole in the wall in Piru, CA! Loved our experience here. First of all the service was excellent, the guy working there made us feel welcomed. Food is freshly made, tastes great and has huge portions. This is more of a home cooked hearty meal! Will definitely go back ??

Best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to.I have two other restaurants in Ventura that are amazing and I love, but this place tips the scale with its movie set quality, homemade tortillas like you'll find in a small Mexican cafe IN Mexico, and EVERY sauce a perfect dream. You won't find any raw bitter tastes here, just fresh sweet hot ripe chilis even in the red enchilada sauce. And they have Modelo Negro and beach scene tabletops, as they should, but the vibe doesn't begin there. It starts outside as you find yourself surrounded by authentic 19th and early 20th century storefronts. In case you're looking for restaurant parking signs, if the curb is full, pull up into a dirt lot, that's your parking.First, we were served small batch homemade chips w tomatillo sauce, classic. Second, our food came QUICK. And it was hot off the stove. I love that.I had the tres enchiladas, and I asked for Christmas sauce (Rojo and Verde). So, 3 cheese enchiladas w both red and green sauce. I wasn't even that hungry but couldn't stop taking bites of the homemade tortillas and incredible sauces and not crammed full, but just the right amount of cheese. And I balanced ea bite w rice and beans until there was nothing left. You bet there's a lot of cleaned plates here.It was Sunday morning, so my friends got Menudo. The one across from me said it was the best she ever had and brought home her foot, and his, along w every last homemade tortilla and little plastic container of sauce. She's a foodie and incredible cook and knows good food.We ate and drank like Kings and, with tip, were out the door for $50.I'll let the pics show anything I may have missed.
