The tea selection is not vast but the quality of the tea is fantastic!! They also serve taiyaki - pastry shaped fish with either custard, Nutella, red bean filling or cream cheese. I recommend the custard! The shop is very clean and a great place to hang out for a while. I highly recommend Boba Joy!!

We needed a boba fix and so happy we found this boba place accidentally while my daughter had a dance competition at El Dorado HS. Their boba was very tasty and the boba was so soft!! We had bought a few drinks for my dance mom friends and they all loved their boba drinks - one of them was so excited that her drink had real peach chunks in her peach boba drink!! we will be back when we are in the area again!!

How did I not try their taiyaki sooner?!! I decided to give the taiyaki a try today and it did not disappoint at all. The batter was a bit chewy like mochi but wasnt sweet. They are freshly made to order so be prepared to wait but it's so worth it cause they come out piping hot. I loved the custard and cream cheese fillings. Will def be back for more.

Boba was good and cashier was nice, the place was a bit smelly. Smelled like sulfur a bit which made me question my decision. Boba was good though and the place is cute, not a place that I would do work or study, the music was a bit loud.

A 2.5 star boba shop rounded up. Their boba is extra hard- there may be some who prefer theirs extra firm but I prefer them more chewy than firm because it just tastes more fresh when they're bouncy. It gives a stale texture when they're hardened. Anyways, that's just a boba texture preference. All my favorite boba spots have delightfully chewy boba and it just isn't that way here. The flavor of the milk tea was ok. I had it without caffeine. I've had better. But it wasn't bad here. I wouldn't go out of my way to seek out the tea here though. Their taiyaki was good. Warm and soft/chewy with a good amount of red bean and custard. I think it was fresh made. This I would go out of my way to seek out. Here's what kind of pissed me off. The sign clearly says 7.5$ for 3 taiyakis. When you checkout it says it's over $8. And then there was tax applied at the bottom. I asked why are they charging me over $8 for taiyakis? They said it includes tax. But what about the extra tax on the bottom of the sceeen? No answer could be given to me about that. "Oh ... sorry that's how it is" kind of vague answer. Didn't want to sit around and fight about an extra dollar or two. Not cool.

ordered Brown sugar boba and Taro tornado. They were both really good and not too sweet! You can also adjust the sweetness according to your taste. The red bean fish bread was on point! Anyone want to taste a bit of Korea should definitely try The owner of the boba place also looks like a KPop star!

Very good recommend for anyone who's craving a new taste in boba but not very blended well and doesn't have enough boba, The service is outstanding so nice and very good. The waiting is sorta long but only if you have patience it's not so long but overall it's amazing lounging and you could even do homework and comfy.

Love this place i can't stop ordering the Avocado tornado. I know it's strange but you have to try it. I work in the plaza and this is my go to. Most days it's my only meal till dinner.
I've come here a dozen times and I've finally had enough. More times than not, my drink or order has been wrong. The last two times in a row, I have had to have a drink remade because it wasn't even what I ordered. This last time I went in my drink was absolutely horrendous - it tasted like mostly Water with honey boba. My theory is that the person ahead of me ordered the same drink I was ordering, but they asked that theirs l barely sweet and instead of making TWO drinks, they doubled the persons drink from ahead of me and gave me the brown flavored water basically. It was awful. And considering this place will run you about $16 for only two drinks, that is unacceptable. On this same day, I also ordered a mango strawberry tornado. I was handed just a mango tornado. I kindly advised it was supposed to be strawberry mango, and instead of apologizing and correcting it, the employee went back to check what was in the system - which obviously was input Incorrectly, so what does that have to do with anything? I SPOKE mango strawberry, if the cashier entered it wrong -that is on her - I shouldn't be checked over it when I have already paid. We won't be back. Huge bummer too because it's right next to our home. I am ok with the price if I get a good drink - but not when they are not done correctly.

Okay, so I wasn't supposed to come here originally. There was another boba shop a mile away that was closed so this was the only one nearby that looked good and I'm glad I came here! Ordered their Oolong Black Milk Tea (50% sweet) with honey boba and it did not disappoint! The Oolong tea in general was a solid 10/10. Their honey boba was another solid 10/10. The guy that worked up front provided 10/10 service. You can't ask for more, honestly. I've had so much milk tea and so much boba in my lifetime and this place is HANDS DOWN the best one I've had in years! Don't sleep on this place, give it a shot! Who knew Placentia would have such a high quality spot? I will definitely be back soon! Also, sign up with your phone number to get a free drink after a certain amount of purchases!

If you're craving jasmine green milk tea, then I recommend this cute boba shop. You can adjust the sweetness; they have the right proportion of tea and milk (so it won't taste overly sweet or watered down). Very refreshing overall. Prices are decent, credit cards are accepted, and of course there's plenty of parking.
